Somewhere in 2015 I created my first account because an ex-friend invited me to the game, due to not liking him I never actually played the game. I never even installed, or at least I do not remember having done so.
Now in 2018 me and a bunch of friends wanted to give Warframe a try and I remembered that I still had an account lingering in cyberspace so I decided to play the game on that one. I didn't know the password but knowing me, it was a very generic one that I reused a lot back in the day and guess what? It worked.
Except that I was banned, apparently my account violated the ToS. I shrugged, I didn't think much of it because I never even played on it so I have no progress to lose. I just created a new account to start over.
Doing some further research I found out that my login credentials were involved in 12 major data leaks and that 3 of my 5 passwords were leaked as well. The only thing that saved me from total online annihilation was the fact that the password to my email was unique and Microsoft (so far) hasn't suffered any password sensitive data breaches.
Therefor, I concluded that someone must have accessed these leaks to use my abandoned account for shady things like platinum selling. I found out about my exposed credentials here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/
Now obviously the question at hand is: can I contact support without being falsely accused of ban evading?
For those who do not believe my story:
