Shrine of the Eidolon: Update 22.15.1 has passed Cert and will be going live Monday March 19th!

Shrine of the Eidolon: Update 22.15.1 has been sent to cert! This update comes hot off the heels of 22.13.2, and will bring you up to speed with all of these new additions and changes:

MAESTRA COLLECTION

  • Octavia Maestra Skin: Get ready for an encore with this reprise to Octavia’s concerto of mayhem. The audience awaits their Maestra.
  • Horos Instrument Pack: A themed instrument pack for Octavia's Mandachord. The score to war, with a danceable beat.
  • Boltor Bravura Skin: A new look for the Boltor, and one worthy of a diva with its own custom reload animation! 
    • *Please keep in mind that due to technical limitations and differences between firing/reloading animations on other Weapons, the Boltor Bravura Skin can only be equipped on the Boltor. 
  • Verismo Syandana: Make a breathtaking entrance with the syncopated design of the Verismo Syandana.

  • Pandero Ceramica Skin: A bold red and white glaze glistens across the surface of this hardened ceramic Pandero Skin.
    • *Following suit of the Boltor Bravura Skin, due to technical limitations and differences between firing/reloading animations on other Weapons, the Pandero Ceramica Skin can only be equipped on the Pandero.

TRIALS RETIRING 

As a reminder , The Law of Retribution/Nightmare, and The Jordas Verdict Trials will be retired in this update. 

For the next 10 days after the update, you will receive an Inbox message upon login thanking you for your dedication to the Trials over the years and a new Invati Sekhara (if you have completed at least 1 Trial). Resources from Trial Keys and in-progress Keys at the time of the update have also been refunded back to you (not Keys that you have already used).
 

ADVANCED CAPTURA TOOLS

  • Place up to 200 Camera Positions, adjust Camera Speeds, and more.        
  • Place up to 5 in-world Text lines (30 char limit per line), with the option to change text color as well.    
  • New Cinematic Mode button that removes UI, plays Camera track, etc. 
  • New Lotus Glow and Edge of Shadows filters + Filter Opacity and Filter Depth sliders for filters.    
  • You will still be able host an 8 player Captura simply by inviting 7 other players once you’ve loaded into Captura.
  • … and more!    
     

ARCANE SYSTEM OVERHAUL

Moving Arcanes to the Teralyst, Gantulyst and Hydrolyst was just the first step in a much bigger movement to improve the Arcane system! Here are the highlights of those changes coming in this update:

  • Arcanes can be installed on your Warframe, Operator, Operator Amp, or Zaw.
    • You can install 2 Arcanes per Warframe and per Operator.
    • You can install 1 Arcane on Operator Amps and Zaws.
  • Arcanes have received a visual overhaul! Arcane Rarity matches the style we use on Mods and Relics as a means of giving a much clearer representation of their Rarity:

  • Upon logging in after the update goes live, all Arcanes installed on Cosmetics/Helmets will be Distilled because Arcanes will no longer be able to be installed on Cosmetics/Helmets.
  • Old Legacy Arcane Helmets will keep their Arcane installed but you will not be able to equip the Legacy Arcane Helmet on a Warframe with 2 Arcanes already installed.
  • You will be able to trade Upgraded Arcanes!
  • … and much more!
     

BEAM WEAPON CHANGES 

Beam Weapons are returning to their original status of hitscan weapons with pinpoint accuracy and zero recoil! 

Perfect accuracy and high fire rate is balanced by limited range and damage ramping up from 20% to 100% over 0.6 seconds and after moving off target there is a delay of 0.8 seconds before it starts to decay over 2 seconds. The following weapons are the exceptions: 

  • Convectrix: Primary fire starts at 60% / Alt fire starts at 80%
  • Phage: Starts at 70%
  • Embolist: Starts at 30%

To help with ammo economy, Beam Weapons consume 0.5 ammo per trace - unless they are Flamethrowers.

TONS OF ADDITIONS AND CHANGES 

  • Excavation missions have been cleaned up and simplified!
    • Endless Excavation missions now display ‘Digs Completed’ instead of ‘Total Cryotic Excavated’. The number of ‘Digs Completed’ is what counts towards the tiered Rewards in the Endless modes, and this change saves you some mental math!
    • Excavators will no longer take Power Cells if BOTH Shields and Power are full as to not waste valuable Power Cells.
    • Excavation UI displays 'Power: FULL' when the Excavator no longer needs more Power Cells to run to completion.
    • ...and more! 
  • Invasion Changes:
    • Defense from 10 waves to 5 waves
    • Survival from 10 minutes to 5 minutes
    • Interception from 2 rounds to 1 round
    • Excavation from 1000 Cryotic to 500 Cryotic
  • New Captura Syndicate scenes: 
    • Lua Nursery Scene (Arbiters of Hexis)
    • Corpus Ice Planet Wreckage Scene (Cephalon Suda)
    • Grineer Shipyards Manufactory Scene (New Loka)
    • Corpus Gas City Conduit Scene (Perrin Sequence)
    • Infested Ship Bridge Scene (Red Veil)
    • Grineer Settlement Reactor Scene (Steel Meridian)
    • Orokin Derelict Plaza Scene (Cephalon Simaris)
  • When you complete a Bounty stage or Incursion, Reviving won't make you lose the Affinity that you earned before that checkpoint. To offer an example:
    • Old behavior: Earn 1000 Affinity, finish Bounty stage, earn another 500 Affinity, then die and Revive, you'll lose 10% of your total 1500 Affinity, so 150 Affinity lost.
    • New behavior: Earn 1000 Affinity, finish Bounty stage, earn another 500 XP, then die and Revive, you'll only lose 10% of the 500 Affinity since the 1000 Affinity that you earned before you finished the Bounty stage is already "saved".
  • Operators (if Transference has been used at least once) now receive Affinity for each Synovia of the Teralyst/Gantulyst/Hydrolyst destroyed. Our intentions here are to help with leveling up Operator Amps.
  • Increased the amount of Affinity you earn from killing Vomvalysts by 5x to help Operator Amp leveling.
  • 6x New Nartas to boogie down! 
  • Critical Chance, Critical Multiple, and Status Effect Chance now all apply to enemies inside Zephyr’s Tornado.
  • Slightly adjusted the Teralyst Arcane drop tables based on new Arcane rarity calculation.   • Adarza Kavat’s Cat’s Eye Critical Chance Buff no longer apply to Operators.
  • Smeeta Kavat’s Charm Critical Chance and Energy recharge Buffs no longer apply to Operators.
  • Picking up a Syndicate Medallion, Exceptional Sentient Core, Flawless Sentient Core, and Cetus Wisp will now display the same special UI message like when you pick up an Argon Crystal. 
  • Quill Onkko’s Offerings are now categorized by Arcanes, Amps, Appearance, and Misc.
  • Vacuum now sucks up Atlas’ Rubble!
  • You now need a minimum of 3 Health to reload the Hema. Ammo capacity stat is also hidden as it is not required.

Anyone willing to carry some newer players through one or both of the raids before they go so we can experience them? Been meaning to try to run one but thought I'd have longer before this update arrived.

About time Inaros got a skin. I was worried that with you guys pimping the new frames that some older frames were forgotten.

Nerf the cats? Why the heck would you do that? What's next? Gonna take Volt's Shield away from the Operator too? If so, then RIP Eidolon Hunter Volt. Guess we'll all be running Harrow/Oberon/Trinity/Chroma because diversity no longer matters.

Cats are still good for Warframes, and honestly stripping shields on Eidolons isn't too hard once you get all your equipment. No worries here.

I welcome some of changes. For Those that I dont (Too many to type)  I kinda of feel that those of us who are veterans are being somewhat shafted putting it mildly.

There is still alot of clarity needed in the mechanics of the game..along with simple straight forward explanation or laymans terms, ie give example scenarios  rather than having to seek external sources on how to execute tasks or how to evolve in many aspects of the game. I do hope very long standing problems will be put to rest in coming months. 

Please take these comments as constructive, and not in anyway negative as some readers may feel.
