theasl
I haven't been able to play yet this weekend, so I don't know how the points for the event work. How many points do you get each run? (Basically, how much will I have to run to get to the rewards?) Thanks in advance.
Magicfingers
it depends on how many scouts you and/or your party capture....one point for each scout. some missions only have one, some have more. the most i've seen is 4.
Denvert
Playing solo has given me 1 every run. Maybe you get 1 for every participant in the session?
Astraea.
You get one point for each scout you capture, so the amount of points you get for each 'run' varies. You can find the rewards here: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/93311-operation-arid-fear-escalation-last-stand/#entry1043631 . Hazmatzone
You got 1 point per person in your group. 1 person=1 point 2=2 points 3=3 points 4 people=4 points you need 100 points for all rewards so just look in recruit chat channel and you'll find a bunch of people who are looking for people to join so they get the max amount of points 25 runs ins't that hard considering I've done more just to farm for warframe parts. LocoWithGun
Do yourself a favor and give up if you're a solo player. You'd need about 25 hours of time to get 100 points (assuming 5 minutes per mission). This is just mission time.. waiting for alerts, building keys and whatnot is not included. I don't think you can get more than 1 point per mission too. If you're really fast (about 2.5 minutes per mission) you could even knock it down to 12 hours. Have fun :) 4-mans still need at least 50 alerts to get 100 keys. And then at minimum 25 missions to get to 100. That means over 6 hours at minimum. Doesn't take into account RNG (how many scouts spawn?) or down time etc. Not worth it imho. Edited August 11, 2013 by LocoWithGun

theasl
Ah shoot. I'll just take the 10-point mods then. I'm in a big clan but I doubt it'll help too much. Thanks guys.
LocoWithGun
Anyone wants to farm some corpus cipher and datamass, then do some runs with me? Do the alerts with 3 friends and have 4 keys, thus 4 runs with 2 alerts 4-mans (assuming you stay together from farming key to finishing 100 points) need at minimum 75 runs (assuming perfect RNG, 4 scouts/mission and 5 minutes/mission). That's still 6.25 hours. But you actually need to wait for those alerts to appear, you can't grind them one after another. So with the added downtime the amount of time this will take is quite high. But it is manageable, yes. But trying to solo this thing? No way! I'm still not gonna bother though. Also, I believe that the tier 2 mod is a biiig mistake. Stack that with your regular redirection and you just made the game even easier... I don't think we need that. Add the two shield recharge rate mods and it's easy mode. DE is shooting themselves in the foot here.. big time.

LocoWithGun
I honestly don't know. But most people on the forums say it's dependant on how many scouts spawn in each mission. Some people report from 1-4 and I've seen someone even say they've seen from 2-5. But feel free to test it. We could use some definite answer here. This is the first guy that says this though... so I'm leaning towards the RNG atm. Edited August 11, 2013 by LocoWithGun
AuroraSonicBoom
Kind of sucks if you can't host any missions because your connection can't handle it. I feel like a leech :/
LocoWithGun
Well, you essentially have no choice. There's been enough alerts to make around 11 keys so far. Solo player up to this point can at most have around 11 points. 4-man group can already have 176 points. There is absolutely no way you can get anywhere in this event solo... no way. So don't feel bad, DE done botched this one. Edited August 11, 2013 by LocoWithGun
Irfir
There is a 6day timer on the event. 25hours in a weeks timespan is fine i guess.
LocoWithGun
It's still 4 hours a day. You'd be better off working minimum wage job for the same amount of time and then buy something nice with plat. 25 hours is worth 181 dollars (minimum wage). That's a lot of platinum... you're willing to invest that for 2 mods? Edited August 11, 2013 by LocoWithGun

LocoWithGun
My point is that it's pointless to try to solo this event (which is wrong imho).. unless you would be willing to pay 181 dollars just for those two mods alone. Solo players get shafted on this one and claiming that 25 hours is fine if it's over a week period is akin to claiming that it's okay for DE to charge 181 dollars for two mods. See my point now? That is some interesting point you have. You are linking ingame stuff / playtime with real money. Can i solo the event without breaking a leg is normaly my first question :)

Dueler
I wouldn't suggest soloing the event... You end up doing 4 times as many runs as a full party would. Probably slower too, almost every CV group split rushes now.
Duelshock
this event is worse than the balloon event, and that's saying A LOT.
PeterKha
Why are you guys complaining about solo? Events are meant to promote co op play like seriously... This is my a co op game not a solo game. Like if you choose to play solo then don't complain how the events are punishing. They promote co op play which is what you all should try

I will not buy that MMO or any other title they try to pull when this isn't even as advanced as Gameboy advanced link system or PSP portable. They have one of the most archaic net structure of any f2p game I have ever seen and it doesn't allow people to play that have NAT issues.
