My View On The New Idle Animations Situation

Just to get in first, I'm not here to argue, just thought I'd make a post instead of yelling at my monitor.

I think the new idles are great, all of them. Every. Single. One.

I really appreciate that the effort was put in to make them all and I'm sure they'll be built on more in the near future.

I'll admit some of them could use some tweaks, but not complete overhauls.

Now, what I think is the real problem here is that we've all been used to everyone having the same, basic idle for too long. Naturally, some people(like myself) are more open to changes, but some people are less so. It's understandable.

Basically, as much as we are all entitled to our opinion and what not, I think some of us are being a little bit too narrow minded.

I can see where some people are coming from when they talk about some of the frames (Ember, Nyx, Banshee...) but I strongly believe the majority of this unrest is because, as I said above, we're used to the basic idle.

If we came to the game today as new players, and saw the unique idles for each frame we would think it's awesome(I would at least), and it would influence our view on each frame instead of disrupting the views we already have.

Oh, and about Banshee "looking at the floor" (this one bugs me in particular for some reason)

1. The sensors on our helmets may not be restricted to where our eyes are (just a thought).

2. My first impression, she's ready to look up and scream right in some unfortunates face, just like a Banshee.

I was slightly taken aback when I scanned over Loki's animation seeing as I use him a lot. Though his hunchback kinda repels me it also builds character. Makes him feel and look creepier and sneakier as he stays low to the ground and out of sight, causing mischief all the while.

Though I am kinda jealous of Ash's, Ember's and Volt's animations because they run the longest and have the most movement but that is just me.

Loki's idle animation makes him look like a bent over old man (this is the fourth time I've said that).
