Since you know how to solve the problem, maybe you should hand DE a job application of yourself? Would be a good time, i guess you could negotiate a really good salary right now with your special and exclusive knowledge.

It's not even specialist knowledge.. having spare gear in a 'mission critical' environment is common sense, I have spare hardware for my 3D rendering rigs so I don't miss deadlines.

I'd have to move to canada for a job with DE and well it's a bit cold there.

You're not wrong, but I don't really think this is DE's fault. I think, as others have said in the thread, this is down to routing issues plaguing the US, possibly as a result of the recent bill that was passed.

Yeah, i know, Sony, Microsoft and many other companies that are much bigger and have mucht more "mission critical" environment just have $&*&*#(%&ed people in their staff. All off them already have suffered from DDOS just because they are to incompetent to set up their environment more redundant to handle such issues properly.
But i guess you rendering rigs are DDOS prove for sure.

Well to be fair, nobody has said it is a DDOS, and furthermore his rendering rigs probably *are* DDOS-proof because you generally do rendering offline and the state of the network connection is barely relevant. (`・ω・´)

5 hours and almost 900 replies on this... can we get an update?

Thanks (i gave up about an hour ago)

They posted on Twitter that they are working on a resolution about 30 minutes ago. But yeah, nothing on the forum. We're so 1.0!

But that shouldn't really affect those of us in Canada, that are close to London... unless they don't have any servers in Canada :S
