Nightmare Modes

Firstly, thank you very much for adding them in like we asked, just some quirks about the current rendition that has stood out for me.

1) Difficulty between energy drain + no shield and any other mode is too much. It's 10 times harder, as you're basically depriving us of half the game (abilities), and thus everything one shots you, making the only viable frames rhino and saryn. Secondly, the increased difficulty nets the player nothing, you get the same S#&$ty mod you weren't farming for, if its going to be much harder, give us 5 of those mods at the end of the mission please.

2) Randomized mode selection. Some randomness is okay, but when I get 4 energy drain + no shield in a row, I just close the game. Put it on a rotational basis dependant on the host or something please, too much RNG in the game as it is.

Other than that, I've had a lot of fun with the nightmare mission, and am still franticly hunting for blaze... <3

Hi my game name DragonForze and this is how it works we give DE ideas and he put them in game but changed/shaped

game was nice and easy since update 9 come then update 9.5 resources not anymore and nightmare mode insane hard no shields and health go off fast like 3 or 4 shots and we die

On topic, Nightmare mode as it's called is a "Nightmare" I do agree that the Energy Drain + No Shield combo is derpy, but it's more then possible, just using a rush frame, it's honestly not limiting you at all it's more just saying "Avoid combat and rush through it" Also something you learn eventually is only do Raid, Capture or Sabotage Infection Nightmare Mode missions as they are 10000% times easier then getting gang banged by switch teleing grineer and incinerated by random Fusion MOAs. And as am I looking for the 1% Blaze mod...

I agree that the "energy drain+no shield" nightmare mode is not really a challenge, but more of a lazy game designt that states hey, we severely inhibit your ability to use the mechanics we had you use the rest of the game..so its challenging.  That is not challenging, nor forcing a player to increase his skill.  If you force to have no shields..how about a cover system, which would not matter because of the zerging mentality of the AI.  As enemy damage scales up, our defense does not..just our shield and health pool.  I think nightmare modes should be challenging and enforce skilled play among all playstyles.  I don't want to have to switch to my rhino or frost and dump my energy mods and just equip rush, marathon, redirection, and Vitality in order to try and blitz through a level and survive a hail of bullets to beet a challenge mode.  Telling us to survive while metaphorically cutting off our hands is not interesting gameplay whatsoever.  This mode encoureges us to skip content either by rushing the level or just not doing nightmare cuz its too much of a hassle.  I like your game Devs,and I know  your busy.  Instead of implementing a half hearted system so you can go back to improving previous ones, just put more emphasis on improving things.  I aborted nightmare several times today to the point where I decided to go back to monotonous plastid farming....dear god plastid farming.  Try enemies will only die from melee, bullets will hurt but only so much.  Melee recharges shields, or no shield regen whatsoever.  Make us run a gauntlet but do not take away our ability to play as we like.  This mode basically puts the glass canon/ability players out in the cold.
