I Just Have A Lot Of Feedback.

The minimaps need a serious rework, I cannot tell you how many times I've spent running around in circles until I FINALLY found where I needed to go. It's thanks to memorizing certain areas with weird zip-line or fan placements, tunnels, or that hidden hole in the side of the stairs on that one corpus level, or just a crap load of staircases in one place that I can actually progress through levels now.

I suggest Having the minimap only show you what's on your exact topographical level, and put the objective marker to tell you which door or staircase/ramp, or other form of putting you in another room or topographical level(ascend/descend) to take instead of putting the objective marker in some weird ambiguous location in the room on the minimap just so it can jump from side to side on the little upper right-hand screen occasionally while I try to decipher it out... while sprinting around in a hurry... and while being shot at by damn near everything on the map, before eventually being a whole minute or so late to the objective or extraction point.

I'd had a lot of issues with jumping up onto things too, my friend jumped into a pipe, and I thinking "Yay! an escape from everything on the map that doesn't like me!" attempted to jump into the pipe, but instead I keep hitting my head on the mouth of the pipe trying desperately to jump into the freakin' pipe before I lost another revive to the corpus gang after like an unexaggerated 15 seconds of struggling. And I've had plenty of other incidents where I had issues ascending vertical surfaces.

The Ciphers are fun, but sometimes when I click, the hexa(octa?)gon I was last on turns instead of the polygon my cursor is now currently on. Also, I've had two instances now on a certain Grineer level where I've fallen into a pit of noclip pipes expecting to be reset back to before I fell only to be trapped down there for the rest of the level. Your doors need to open faster, it's annoying running into doors until they decide ever so graciously that they may open and permit my Swiss cheese-ed &#! through.

Also, on your menus like Arsenal, and Foundry and stuff, you have X's and backs in weird places and I can see backs from other menus. And it just feels awkward. I almost accidentally logged out a couple of times trying to exit a menu. Me and my friends just starting out had a hard time figuring out how to back out of S#&$.

You need a universal back button in a universal and easy to reach with a touchpad location for everything that doesn't involve logging out. And your scroll bars need arrows on each side of them. I don't like to drag a bar up and down a slider to browse one of your menus, I want to click arrows to go up and down or maybe even side to side. The dragging goes fast and makes me feel like I missed something. I like clicking, but that's just me.

Also, this game is awesome, and more so as you progress through the solar system, but you need to start people out better in your game, I was so lost. I just felt dropped into your game. I was a few missions in before I realized what Warframes are, and how all the little options in Arsenal work and how to find things I want in market. Oh man, the market is a disorganized mess, I can find things after a while, but jeeze. Okay, have more separated sections. Have a blueprints section, have a Foundry Materials section, and stuff like that, though that might be it that you need beside the ever-so convenient clicky arrows I mentioned above.

And also explain to me why I want some items or should care for them or explain to me what some items I get do. I have a blueprint to a Banshee Base or something like that. What the hell is that? Like a blueprint to a half-constructed Warframe or something? I don't even know, but I shouldn't have to resort to Google to figure out some aspects of your game. Also when I open crates or kill something that drops like a material or orb, it takes forever for gravity to bring it to me. It's like we/re in .01G or something.

Also the AI's on captives in rescue missions need to be programmed not to stand there while being shot at like they're pouting until they get an apology for me being in a different room than him/her for a couple of seconds. And that's about it. Overall great, amazing, addictive game, I just notice a lot of things.

Also am I supposed to know what the Tenno are without reading? Are they like human or something, I don't know, I just play games. I mean they look human with like weird forerunner exo skeleton suits on from Halo Legends and Lotus looks human, but when crouching or shown running in loading screens their ankle/feet bend in nonhuman ways, so yeah.

OPtry pressing enter sometimeprotipalso, no one wants to read that S#&$

I read it. I won't say it was pleasant but I read it.

@ OP: Get some organization, seriously. You have like 10 different subjects that would all warrant you to at LEAST press enter, or even post different threads on different sub-forums. About 70% of what you said is un-related to map/level design feedback, and most of what does relate to this subforum is not precise enough to be useful.

Use and abuse "enter" in the future.

EDIT: Your edit (OP) made it clearer already. I don't have much to add right now tho (at work).

I don't do TL;DR, either you care enough to read it or you can go read children's books. It was for the guys who read this who adjust the game looking for feedback, if they want feedback they have to read it as I can't call them, at least I don't think I can. And I did get off topic. I came to talk about maps, but then started talking about everything else as I thought that was better than taking up thread space. But I'll use enter to space it out in the future if that makes it easier on your eyes for whatever reason. Thanks.

Also, Kinperor, I don't know how to be more precise (you mean accurate? Precision implies repetition) about my map related feedback as I don't know the names of these maps nor the sections on them, nor if all maps of a certain faction are just fractions of the same re-used map, I just know what faction the map I'm on belongs to. Like the thing I said about the Corpus, well there's a room with a couple of small ramps/staircases that take you just slightly higher, and before that there's a rail you could just jump over to get to the door on the other side of the room instead of running to the side where the "stairs" or setps are (I have no idea what they are, ramps? I wasn't paying that much attention to them), but in between the rail you can jump over (or down?) and the ramps/stairs/steps is a busted out part of the wall, a "hole" as I called it above, that I had a very hard time finding. Even if I try to elaborate I can't be very accurate as to what I'm talking about. I just know Corpus in that example and how to visually describe what went on. And even if I am "precise" in this manner, it's counter-intuitive to the TL;DR'ers.

For terrain glitch/bugs: pictures or video help a lot. Just taking one quote from your OP as an example:

"Also, I've had two instances now on a certain Grineer level where I've fallen into a pit of noclip pipes expecting to be reset back to before I fell only to be trapped down there for the rest of the level."

That tells jack to the developers most of the time, unless they happen to know precisely which tile on which map you're talking about. Off the top of my head, there are about 5-6 tiles (rooms) throughout the 3 tilesets (Galleon/asteroid base plus the settlement from today) that fit your description, and most have enough pipe that I would definitely don't want to search them one by one. The bug you described isn't limited to just pipes either, so I can't tell if I need to find pipes to replicate.

I hate to be that dude who quotes himself, but I have a handful of threads dedicated to glitch reports that are followed by two Warframe Staff (and other bystanders in some case), here's my biggest one: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/64185-grineer-asteroid-explorafun-feedback-suggestion-glitch-report/?hl=explorafun

Pictures tells the whole story really, I need like 2-3 lines for extra description or replication process if needed and that's it. Text or images can work, but a picture tells a thousand word.

Another thing to note: Developers are busy. It's preferable to be concise most of the time, as it is rare that they will have the time to read long posts like yours. I'm not advocating "TL;DR" in general, but I do advocate being straight to the point unless you're building a real case. Especially here where you go off-topic, why would a dev read a wall of text where only half of the stuff concern them? Here's one of the Warframe staff (Scott or Geoff, can't remember which is which) on the subject of preferred feedback: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/82926-can-i-please-have-an-answer-from-a-dev-regarding-preferred-methods-of-feedback/#entry905038

Not trying to be antagonist for the sake of it, I just wanna help you give better feedback and avoid things like the 2-3 posters you got at first with rather tasteless sense of humor.

You, sir, are the voice of reason. Thanks, not antagonistic at all. I'll get straight to the point next time, section it out(this goes there, this goes here), and take more screen shots when I get the chance, though I I've been getting horrible lag recently, so everything feels like a bug. I guess I just type like I'm talking, and saying that "wall" of text wouldn't take but a minute or a minute in a half, and as a guy working on a game myself and one who watches a lot of youtube game reviews and IGN reviews and such, feedback can be helpful in the most un-etiquette manners, feedback is feedback, silver platter or trash can. Wanna make a good game? You might have to do some dumpster diving. I'll do a better job of avoiding the trash can, but in my mind, that unorganized "wall" of text was a single block of information, well, one that contains my first day of gameplay.

We do appreciate feedback and bug reports for sure. Pics/vids can show us issues immediately in 1 second, whereupon we can load up the level and fix things in a snap.

We do want to smash bugs and make sure the game is water tight and fun, but its an ongoing process. As long as we can clearly see the troublespots we can investigate quickly.

Keep the feedback and bug reports coming, friends. Together we'll make things awesome® :)

You got it. Btw, how do you vote up?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. XD
