Is Mara Detron at least average now?

I feel like getting it but from what I've heard from the past it's nothing more than MR Fodder, but that was also before the "buff nearly every weapon" patch.

I hardly go further than Lv45 anyway so is Mara Detron at least average now?

Have been using Mara Detron for sorties even before the patch. I guess taking out a lv100 Bombard in 5 shots is good? That was before the patch btw.

100% status rapid fire shotgun with high pellet count is enough of a reason to use any weapon.

You've heard wrong. 

It's one of the better secondaries in the game right now. 

Edit: One thing that was--and still is--annoying about the gun is its color scheme. It's a royal pain to color, since it has that prisma-style scintillating color overlay on at least one of it color slots. Picking up the shock camo skin for it makes coloring this thing ever so much easier.
