Change Or Replace Shuriken And Bladestorm

Both of these abilities have become problematic both now and in the past. They both have balancing issues particularly in difficulty scaling. Both of them become almost useless during high level missions (also, on a different topic, many warframes suck when it comes to defense, and I mean their abilities) Shuriken cant kill even the average enemy in 1 hit, whether or not both shurikens hit the target. Bladestorm doesn't kill average targets in 1 hit either, and, it takes a VERY long time to finish using it. So in essence, they both don't scale well especially on high-level missions and bladestorm takes to long too finish using it. (focus doesn't help)

 

To fix? Change the way the abilities work or replace them with different abilities.

 

Now I'm just gonna throw out some ideas. (don't flame)

For example, shurikens could have an additional aoe stun/knock-back to nearby enemies, could make aoe effect that makes them take more damage, etc.

Bladestorm could do considerably more damage and could be like 100x faster

 

Since the changes I have listed may be hard to implement (particularly bladestorm), I would just suggest just replacing these abilities to better, more balanced, and more scale-able ones. You guys can post your opinion (without flaming) and throw some ideas around.

I thought this thread would be about how it doesn't make sense to have shuriken as a frame power when you can just equip shuriken.

 

Really, that's the main reason I think it should be replaced.

 

obviously you should be able to throw shuriken whilst you're throwing shuriken, because the more you can throw at the same guy the better

 

loads of skills scale very poorly with higher levels, mainly the ones without armour ignore damage

The troll is strong with this one.

 

But yeah no seriously, Shuriken is one of the most fun moves there is in Warframe for me. You can easily hit one target with both shuriken, netting for a 1000 damage + Focus. Also the recent buff of Bladestorm is insane, especially when you take the multiplier on infested and Moas into account.

The skill itself going slow is part of the skill's nature and should be considered, when using Ash as a Warframe. He is not a quick cleaner, but a powerful and reliable one.

 

My only problem with Ash is, that I need a lot of Forma to make him how I want him to be.

why ? 

=> no offence (and this is my oppinion) but , Bladestorm aldo slow has lots to show and many have asked that it would be like in the trailer. The DE did a great job with it. Its cool and personally even using it alot it hasent gotten old. It may not be as fast as other warframes ulti BUT it has lots to show which makes Ash and if you think about it , not just him but all warframes Unique. 

 

If you want to increase the dmg -> Focus MOD. Work for both abilitys. 

 

The idea regarding Shurikens isint viable ... It already deals good dmg and it follows your target , so you would have to be too skilled at using it. 

Compared to other 1st ability's its dmg is good if not very good. stun/knock back  nearby enemys ? Say you were on a brige and you use this on about 3 infested , kill 1 and the other 2 are knocked back.... Ok now use this on XIni on an army of them and you sit on top of a box .... hitting a mob at the back .... you just disabeld that army consdiering they are in a choke point. SHURIKENS since inspired from real life , are used to be stealth, precise , rarely for more targets at the same time.  

Give a dmg buff similar to Rhino ... ok .. thats interesting , but that would mean, as a consequence , the already existing dmg from the skill to be reduced to balance it out. Again , since it was inspired form real life ... it dosent have that effect and would make it strange. 

 

Im suprised nobody suggested a cone of shurikens as the first skill....(ofc then it wont follow the enemys)

 

Im not a pro Ash , but since i played him im more up close and personal with mobs , relying on melee weapons, Speed and stealth. Offence  is his best tool. Staying around and shooting from a distance you can do with other frames .  OFC everyone has there playstyle and im not one to judge, you could be a stealth sniper with ash from all i know and ofc then you would like other skills. 

 

Read wiki to help you , play him so you use his skills to the fullest and beyond 

1 hitting mobs with abilitys requires tons of "skill" ,)  and then ... why not be a caster. 

 

I saw he dosent have a "team" skill , that helps everyone but if you want to suggest that its a good idea and am +1

I suggest that since he is stealth and you get higher crits... why not give to the whole team higher crit chances for a short duration.
