Almost a little too ambient. Not bad, but not sure it fits Warframe.

Much as I hate to put this up, I believe it would fit.

Ambient/Calm in Grineer Settlement -----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6IwJWair0k  I'd love to stealth through a mission with this.

Battle in Grineer Settlement ----->

  Quite intense.

Obviously the music I posted reflects an idea, it should not sound -exactly- like this. Warframe should have unique score.

Honestly I think each faction should have different music. Grineer could have more pulsing drums and over the top orchestral arrangements. Corpus could use synthesizers backed with mild orchestra. Oh and arpeggio's. A lot of Mixolydian flat 7th arpeggio's. Infested....must be terrifying. We need a lot of chromaticism. Purely orchestral as nothing else gives such bone chilling noises when done correctly.

That would definitely have to be the battle theme, already sounds like something that belongs in this game :)

Obviously the song I suggested wouldn't fit combat scenarios, but Two Steps From Hell also seems to be a good candidate for music inspiration.

TSFH has a massive amount of varied music under their belt. You could find almost any kind of song from them. You just have to avoid the most overly-used, common, and popular songs in society. It was easier to find good songs from them before they became super popular.

Speaking of which, Grineer could sound like I already posted. Corpus could use something such as this. ----->

2 minutes into the song, that's what I'm looking at. (lots of arpeggio's.)

Infested could use this kind of tone. ----->

Seems a bit too epic even for Corpus, unless you were to fight the Super Jackal, the regular Jackal's Shadow of the Colossus sized counterpart that requires you to climb along it's back and destroy each hinge connecting it's legs to it's body (actually now I wanna see that).

Same for the infested, they don't seem to fit the orchestral tone very well. I could see the infested with ambiance/combat music similar to Dead Space (for obvious reasons), eerie space station noises went calm, but very loud and tense when you catch something in the corner of your eye.

Although I see where your coming from, and any expansion to the Warframe soundtrack would be great (the current songs are good, but there's just so few right now). Hopefully DE will work towards artists like TSFH for inspiration.

I feel that they could add more depth to Warframe's enemies.

If Corpus were more like (excuse the ME reference) Quarians and Geth who got along with each other, we could see more advanced weaponry, perhaps rogue AI (4th faction), more epic battles, etc. I can imagine a rogue AI being a mission hazard whereas during a Corpus mission all the lights go out, the ship powers down and emergency lights come on. All MOA's gain increased speed and damage, MOA's also begin attacking Corpus humans. You get taunted by and AI the same way Shodan from System Shock would do. (Fascinating concept.) A little like having the Stalker come after you.

The infested could use darker atmosphere and more terrifying elements. Then the music would fit them better.

There is a lot that could be added to Warframe to make it an amazing experience, but I'm not sure DE has the funds to do that.

I am afraid I am starting to go off topic as well. Sorry.

I honestly think TSFH's music might be out of place in Warframe. A lot of it is overly-intricate and borderline too epic. There isn't really anything "epic" in Warframe. A subtle ambient track might do but nothing too distracting since Phobos' tileset isn't actually very detailed.

That is why I said that TSFH is more of an -idea-, Warframe should not sound quite like that.

It would be nice to see more depth and "epicness" to Warframe in the art, visuals, experience, etc. Then introduce over-the-top music. It could work...maybe.
