Procedurally Generated Hijack Missions

Shwazdo-La fellow Tennos and Devs!

As the title implies, this topic os about Hijack Missions.

The missions are (at least for me) fun and do require teamwork to get it done which is good and i have liked Hijack missions since their first appearance tho we are restricted to 1 Grineer Map in which you escort a Fomorian Core and 1 Corpus Map which you escort a Rover.

Im not complaining about them being bad, i just wish the part of these missions which you accompany the Payload were also Procedurally Generated like the rest of the map and in some cases even made longer. After a few runs, it becomes too predictable from where enemies will come, what turns the payload will make and where you can set up traps to ambush enemies as they spawn.

On Laws of Retribution the Fomorian`s tracks had points where it was electrified and some times even contained mines, bring those back too! Have plats of the rails be obstructed by objects like a crane we would have to hack to get out of the way or a high security gate which would force one or two players to stay behind protecting the objective wile the others sneak into these rooms to get the gates open. For Corpus Rovers have large Hangers and tunnels we would have to drive through coordinate to hold it in position for a wile as a Corpus ship could be trying to bombard the cargo like they do to us during the Ambulas fight.

There are hundreds of possibilities that could be done for these missions to make them far more interactive and less trivial for players.

I would love to see other player`s opinions on this. What do you guys think of the Hijack missions and what would you want to see on them?

I think by design it would be hard to procedural generate, since the objective needs to move along a fix path and their A.I. has to be 100% spot on for that.  I'm sure it's possible - but I don't think Hijack is beloved enough by the community to warrant the extra time taken creating whole new rooms and tracks for the things to move along.  I find in general it hardly has a place in the game as is - which is probably as you mentioned, due to only having 2 maps and low presence.   But time to payoff ratio, is this worth it?

its a good idea, but why would you run these hijack missions, they are not rewarding in any unique fashion or in any great capacity. the effort would go to waste.

Well, nothing prevents [DE] from adding actual rewards to the end of the mission based on Distance you managed to get it or add additional stops along the way to grab more load in case of the Rover missions and these would increase the rewards at the end.

I've never found these fun tbh, the LoR versions had that tad of difficulty with the traps but most people just stand on top of the vessel and ride it to the finish.

I'd personally like to see missions like the introduction to the Kuva Fortress, the intervals in-between Archwing and battle on foot, while keeping up with the Payload. THAT was fun and it should be similar with every mission.

ok so you want to make it a endless mode of a sort? its a unique idea for sure, with some potential, but again, whats the carrot at the end of the stick? suggest rewards, is it resources, is it credits? What would be a reward worth doing the mission for...

I wasnt thinking of endless but its an interesting idea. As for rewards, in Corpus Rover, maybe Oxium and/or Cryotic for every Corpus storage depot that got assaulted. We do need a better source of Oxium and alternative source of Cryotic. The mission would work like the Excavation ones where you get Resource + Random reward (Endo/Relic).

not so unique, as we have the "defector" missions already, which are essentialy an endless type hijacking mission (and yes, i know the buggers aren't hijacked but voluntarily get stuck... ehm... defect from the grineer - but i think you see the similarity of the two mission types).
