Not everything will get positive feedback, and instead of verbally abusing, you could just down vote instead

Yeah, no thanks. That would be easily abused. The forums used to have a confused face one, but DE removed it since most people used it as the down vote.

Abused? How, it doesn't do anything apart from show you don't like it, also I'm sure not everyone is that brain dead to realise a downward arrow means down vote

People will simply downvote something they don't like instead of saying why they don't like it, therefore you're unlikely to get as much constructive feedback as you would currently.

For example:

A wild nerf thread appears, 75% of the community use ''downvote'' because they're triggered by the word nerf instead of actually saying why they disagree with the nerf, it's... not very effective.

As another example, I would simply downvote this thread and your posts instead of actually posting and explaining to you why it's a rubbish idea.
