What's a Niernen?

Just came from a pug and another player really impress me by the speed at which he took out the enemies. After the mission and the pug disbanding, I went and look in the last mission results screen. He used a Niernen as a melee weapon. I couldn't find any references to that weapon except an history definition: it was sort of a lance, and the name meant orchid. ref: http://inheritance.wikia.com/wiki/Niernen

Anyway, if any of you have heard of such a weapon in-game, just let me know, it would appease my curiosity :)

We do not have such a weapon in game, but it is most likely a Zaw weapon or a weapon he renamed at Hok's anvil on Cetus.

thats a zaw same as the rod of spanking it was named by the tenno weilding it ^.^

That's not really a unique feature to any specific weapon, you can use e.g.
a Maiming Strike + Blood Rush build on any Melee with good range (especially Polearms / Whips),
that'll let you mass-shred pretty much everything all the way up to Sortie levels (and beyond) with ease.

You'd probably want something that's not so short ranged.
