Icymountain
Give the Dojo a grid during decoration placement. It would really help loads when placing down decorations, for example, at the exact centre of the room, or perhaps at a certain angle/point away from another decoration. In case of inconvenience, make another button to toggle decorations snapping to grid or not. Good idea, no?
Limekim
Good idea, no? F'ing fantastic idea,i pretty much gave upp on alot of dojo decorations because i cant place them perfectly, this NEEDS to be in the game!
VER1
Fully agree with this. I am one of those people who gets irked by things being a little off center or tilted a little. I like symmetry and things dead center. A shortcut key to allow decorations to snap to the grid will be great so I can rotate the decoration precisely 45 degrees. Also a duplicate function so I can say copy the previous banner size.
NotBot
This is something I really need. I nearly had a fit trying to get a Koi Pond dead-center in the room.

-CM-True
Grid and toggle-able snapping would be amazing for decoration placement. Support 100%

Icymountain
what's "ocd" ? btw. I disagree with suggestion, I had no problem perfectly decorating our dojo ocd is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Everyone has it, its just how minor or how major. Its hard to explain You had no problem, good for you then. Unfortunately not everyone's like you. Besides, whats wrong with such a system? If you had read properly, you would have seen that I suggested a key that toggles the 'grid mode', so that it wouldn't bother those who didn't need such a function. And I'd love to see other 'snap' functions for things like rotation and size. ALso, perhaps a small display over the object being placed that shows angle, percentage size, and coordinates in current room's grid. Also, perhaps an 'Edit' mode for the room would be nice. Go to the console once to enter edit mode, back again to exit it, instead of the current inefficient way of going back and forth and again and again to edit multiple decorations. In edit mode, the decoration menu can be accessed with a single button. Also, mousing over a decoration displays its stats like angle, percentage size and coordinates in room. Coordinates are measured from the decoration's center, allows for easy lining up of other decorations with it. Selecting a decoration then allows you to move/destroy it. While moving a decoration, the decoration shows its angle, size and coordinates, and the decoration menu key brings up the grid mode, forming a grid over the entire room and making the decoration snap to grid/angle/size. Non-architects can still easily donate by going over to the hologram of the object and using it with x. Also, like rooms, the hologram of the objects display its % completion of its material requirements/construction. The grid would be SO appreciated or at least not have you work with the same "over the shoulder" camera angle. Makes it very difficult to place decorations symmetrically. Metalarcher
What? A way to place decorations more accurately? WHAT A FOOLISH IDEA. I quite like my fish tanks being horribly asymmetrical. /sarcasm
Loswaith
yea if room that takes up a single grid space is split into a decoration grid of say 4x4 it doesnt need to be overly complex but allows for enough snaps and breakups to stil be useful. SFkenny
F this! F it to high heaven! [/obscurejrpgreference] But yes, a grid would be SUPER helpful, as well as a control for snapping rotations to grid, the ability to move a decoration after it is placed without destroying it and rebuilding it if you screw up, etc.

K_Shiro
I noticed that the notification changed when placing decorations - now there is an added part: hold "" to snap Now, the problem is I have no idea whatsoever what I'm supposed to hold :) I mean it's only "" so... I mean if it was " then it would be only one " yet it has two meaning the actual control should be named within these little guys (like " something ")... tried all my buttons (I believe) to no avail. Any luck for someone else?
