What I suggest is http://i.imgur.com/oRHhhHt.jpg'>this You will only see one copy of each mod in the bottom row. Putting your mouse over it will make it "fold out" at the top and display each induvidual copy of said mod which you can select and it will replace the bottom row version of the mod with whichever copy you choose. This will reduce clutter and make it easier to pick which level of a mod you want to put into your weapon.
Krotalon
It's a nice idea, but what if I have 1000 Ammo Drum? I would suggest that the "sub menu" shows up only if you have leveled modules of the same type. Example: I have 1000 Ammo Drum modules. 990 are level 0. 8 are level 1. 2 are level 5. Now when I get my cursor over the Ammo Drum card, the sub menu will show up with other 3 cards for each level: 0, 1 and 5. In this case, a number of how many modules of the same level I have in the inventory would be even better. EDIT: Here's a mockup of what I wanted to say: Edited August 14, 2013 by Krotalon
Brimir
Oh lol. I can't even imagine having 1000 Ammo Drums with the current system... the horror! I hope for your sake it is a hypothetical scenario!
Izeck
Oh lol. I can't even imagine having 1000 Ammo Drums with the current system... the horror! I hope for your sake it is a hypothetical scenario! I have found myself fusing mods just for the sake of minimizing clutter. I wouldn't doubt that if I didn't do that often I would have hundreds of copies of some mods. I think that a staking system where you can see the number of mods of the same kind as an actual number would be better. For example, let's say I have 20 rank 0 ammo drum and 2 rank 3. In my inventory I would see 2 ammo drum cards, one card has a 20 on the corner and the other has a 2. If I want to fuse the rank 3 cards I would click on it and one would go into the modding slot. Then I can click on the stack of 20 and the number would drop for each card added to the fussion. Not only would this make the mod inventory less cluttered, it would also make fusing mods a lot easier.
