Necro's Design Stands Out (Too Much)

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE THE DESIGN.... it's sooo detailed!

Almost too detailed that it makes all other warframes look... kinda poor.

Especially when you compare Nova with this new Necro.

It also doesnt feel like a suit, it's more or less like a creature itself.

What do you guys think? You think he fits the other warframes?

I think he sets a higher standard for any upcoming warframe which also kinda worries me with the current warframes we have,

cause then they just look dull.

I also love the design, but it doesn't fit to the other frames in my opinion.

They should change a few things or they should improve the suit of every other frame.

But after all, he doesn't fit to warframe. Definitely not.

But the design is awesome nonetheless.

Reminds me more of something infested than a Necromancer/Necromancy.

Yes, this Frame does eclipse the detail of almost all other Frames.

To be fair, comparing this Frame, even in concept, to Nova is like comparing a Mountain to an Ant Hill. Nova is easily the most dull-looking Frame. And not to mention her bell-bottoms...

Either way I'm excited for this Frame, so long as the powers align.

People complained about Vauban's look, people complained about Nova's look, and people are going to complain about this new frame's look.

I think the concept art is fantastic, if a little excessively dangly.  We'll have to see what DE does with the U10 cosmetic additions though before we can really harshly judge it.  The devs have said they're looking to use the dangly tech on the existing frames, so we'll likely see updates to Frost, Trinity, Volt, etc in the not too distant future.  I'm personally going to wait to see an actual model for this frame before getting too concerned either way.

People said the same thing about Vauban. The thing is, the Frames vary pretty wildly. They don't have a set aesthetic outside of "semi-organic power armour". I think it fits in quite nicely in that regard.

Edit: Wriith, you GD Space!ninja, you!

It really depends if that is his stance or not, if he stands straight up like that at all times then he looks less human actually.

If one of his stances has him hunched over with his back flappy things fitting more like a split cloak then things that dangle parallel to his back that would also give him a more human shape.

The only part that will seem unrealistic is someone that skinny and weak looking starts sprinting and wall running.

they run otu of warframe ideas.

Next will be orks, elves and cows.

Yay! Now we will have paladin, druid, assassin and amazon warframes! Diablo II FTW!!!

Cowframe confirmed.

does it use a short-ranged melee called "wirt's leg"? XDDD

GO MAD COWS! MOO MOOOO

also, to OP, imo it needs a little less, or to be toned down a little bit. the frames themselves are a suit that the tenno wear, so having that much going on would be a little much. yes, DE want to have more dangly-bits and animated stuffs, but (again - imo) i think that some of what u have going on there in the concept could actually be part of a skill, etc, much like nova's null star.

Yeah I agree the design is awesome, but doesn't give the off that suit feel, maybe it's because it actually has an eye.

But I trust the finished 3D model will feel like a necro warframe, not a straight out undead.

Don't blame this all on DE it's mostly the Council's fault.

How dare they make a unique Warframe.

It would be easy to make a unique frame if you threw out the basic design thematic of warfames. but making a frame that both is unique and fits in with the others with out be to samey? that's hard.

I'm a big fan of the concept art, specificity the helmet and legs. I don't think it stands out too much (it does stands out though) and personally would like to see this kind of verity in not necessary all frames but more frames. I think once scarf's, skins, what ever else DE has planned for customization come into play, one frame standing out over other will hopefully be a moot point. Due to players being able to put there on unique  twist on all frames aesthetics.

One of the reasons it looks a lot more detailed than other frames is because of the "dangly bits" on his helm and shoulders, which changes his silhouette. If you take those outs, the layering of details is comparable to frames like Ember and Trinity (both has lots of details when compared to frames like Nova and Excalibur/Nyx, who are made with the idea of being more simple from the looks of it).

I do agree that it stands out because of the whole design itself though; how it doesn't look like a suit, but a creature. That will probably be changed a bit to fit in.

In any case, the concept art is really great in my opinion. I love the base color scheme as well, and how the helmet almost looks like the grim reaper's hood. In fact, he reminds me of a skinny Death from Darksiders.

u can't push the blame from de to council because de haven't actually taken nearly as much from the council as u think.
