Mag Tweaks Regarding Pull And Crush

Lets start with Crush:

It needs better scaling, make it scale better or add the effect at the end of the skill all surviving enemies are pushed away, so it also becomes a better CC skill.

 

Pull:

Current Pull is GREAT. but it can be made better, not in doing damage or pulling only a selected mob.

But also adding the old effect that you could pull a fallen team mate.

 

in other words:

Pull: target on enemy/no target = pull behaves like it currently behaves

target on fallen team mate = pull draws that team mate to you. (like the old pull)

 

other than what i just mentioned Mag is currently perfect.

 

@people who say Mag is weak: LEARN TO USE IT!!!

I don't know, there'd need to be a system in which you won't have a huge load of mobs on top of your teammate on accident. It would be a tough thing to design, and even tougher to master I'm sure.
Actually a quick fix to this would be to have an alternate effect to "just" pull a teammate. It would be skill-oriented and much better.
I too, agree with you though. People could learn how to use Mag better. I've seen some good mags sniping with their pull to get hordes of enemies away from the cryopod.

I have been playing mag since I started playing Warframe (update 7.7.3) and I love mag. I agree that crush needs to scale better into the end game and later defense. Anything over level 55 and it becomes a mass crowd stun instead of a massive damage output skill. It either needs a better scale on the damage or a utility effect so that it is more useful in the end game.

If you are in defense, and using Mag, you should be pulling enemies (with max stretch, and preferably coil mag helmet) to help your team the most.

 

Try Tier 3 defense, get max streamline, and stretch, and pull groups of enemies into the lasers at later waves where stuff doesn't die easily. Your team will love you :)

 

I mean..... it Pulls ALL enemies  in front of you in a 45 degree arc toward you (the range is ridiculously long with maxed stretch, i dont even have the helmet). It also seems to pull them around walls and such sometimes too. I usually just gather them up, for Nova to prime them, and then they All be hit with maxx damage prime explosion, or Saryn ult, or what have you.

 

Her new pull really is amazing, and like someone said, you can pull enemies off of the cryopod, or another ally trying to revive a downed ally, or just another ally that is more squishy.

 

Only thing that sucks is the toxic ancients. :( lol

cant pull ally's right now.

 

also tis 360 degrees, and i know how to use Mag, just saying which tiny tweaks would make Mag perfectly balanced.

Shield polarize is a bit weak too.

And that damage from Bullet Attractor should be replaced with some crowd control or just remove it and make Attractor cheaper on energy.

Speak about yourself, I've got 160 hours played, all as Mag.

Really, Shield polarize isn't that good. Yeah 50% it's scaling with levels but on high levels it's almost pointless to cast it in fight, because when you finish casting animation your shields are down again. The same with enemy, you cast it and they are immidiately regenerating shields. Still it's great to help to recover shield when you are in cover and it can save pod on defense for a while but I wouldn't mind a little buff. Stopping enemy shield regeneration for 10 s would be enough.

 

Also Attractor. It's main use is it's ability to attract bullets from you to magnetized target. But it's AoE damage is not scaling and it is affected by armor so on higher levels it's pointless. I don't know why Attractor is doing damage in the first place. It's great on shielding you from enemy fire, it's a bit bugged because you are unable to hit your target when you are inside the bubble but 75 energy is quite a lot when you consider Mag's little energy pool and that your target won't often stay there for long.

 

Pull is great and I miss pulling downed ally too. That's why I like your suggestion for it.

And Crush, we both know what is wrong, it doesn't have enough advantages to justify it's 100 energy cost. It will stop enemies for a few moments but in many situations you can just Pull or use Attractor.
