Khora suggestion

Seems to me Khora was designed as a tanky CC support frame with the D aura polarity (i.e. Stand United), the - exilus polarity (i.e. Coaction Drift) and the old passive of Venari increasing armor.

Venari doesnt have shields. It would synergize better if Khora dropped the shields for higher base health and armor so Venari's survivability went up (Link Health, Link Armor) and that would in turn bolster the overall survivability of Khora because of the extra eHP and the healing she can get from Venari.

Nidus doesnt have any shields and that is counteracted by higher then average base health/armor and innate health regeneration.

Inaros doesnt have any shields and that is counteracted by higher then average base health/armor and most of his abilities restore health.

Khora has Venari that can heal her so why not remove the shields and add to her base health and armor?

She does if you put Link Shields on her, FWIW.

I'd rather have Venari free to go and heal other Squad members rather than needing to stick by my side / be in Attack Posture for Hunter Recovery.

Khora and Venari seem ~sturdy enough to me with their cross-heals and not least Khora's mass CC abilities,
I see no need to further dilute the uniqueness (poor Inaros) of no-Shield Frames
(instead, I'd much rather see Shields getting a buff, e.g. Shield gating is a nifty concept).

Ok so that means Link Shield adds to base shields I did not realize that.

Still Would not use it as the added protection is minimal and would benefit way more from more health/armor.

If you start factoring in mods then yes ofcourse you dont need the heal posture for self healing because Hunter Recovery will keep you topped up while Pack Leader will keep Venari topped up. Add a kubrow or kavat and the healing will only go up.

I brought up Nidus and Inaros as reasoning to not need shields because of a built-in healing mechanic which Khora has as well.
I wouldnt call Inaros poor as he is nigh invulnerable.

Shields as they are right now are far inferior to health/armor and I dont see that changing any time soon without shield gating or some way to modify shield hitpoints like armor does for health.

Khora's survivabillity would increase by removing shields and adding base health/armor

Nah, I meant, he was unique at one point, and then Nidus came and copied that pure Health gimmick.

Sure, I guess it would.

Does it need to, though? Are Khora and Venari too squishy currently?

I don't think Khora is supposed to be a "tank" type Frame, but rather a damage / CC / support hybrid,
so if anything, I'd say improve those aspects of her [BTW, is Ensnare worth using now?]
not least because I'm always down for more Squad support options lol (Broberon FTW).

They are fairly squishy if you dont all out mod for survivability.

Ensnare is only worth it imo on enemies you cannot outright destroy with Whipclaw and then only if you Ensnare and then hit them with the Whip.

Khora has enough survivability IMO. She's a fast girl with a strength and sprint build. She excels at long range mass disable with Ensnare and can utilize up to 52 CCed + 2 mobile distractions with Strangledome and double companions. She can have free burst healing via Hunter Recovery x2 and healing per sec via Heal posture.

Though I wouldn't exactly say no to more viable Rage builds with HP only and more Armor.

Yes but you cant achieve all of that without sacrificing a lot of survivabillity and struggling to keep your companion(s) alive.

You seem to be describing multiple specific builds. Now im not saying she should be able to do all of that at the same time but a little more survivability would go along way.
