How about instead of thinking of how we can make the game login screen look pretty .

when people look at it for about 10 seconds

how about fixing the loot drop tables that have been broken for quite some time now

+1

I will also suggest that you drop the login screen ideas and put it back to showing your warframe in the center meditating.

These action screens are loud, obnoxious and unnecessary. I prefer how it was: your warframe sitting there calmly just waiting to get up and kick some &#!.

I agree with this dude.

DE should get the graphics people to work in game balance.

That can lead to nothing but good results...........

Then post in the right area for that. If you post it here, you won't get a better reputation from your complain. Voice it loud, but voice it where DE will take a closer look at (feedback forums), where people will discuss with you on the matter at hand (to make the topic even more active --> more exposure).

There's several of these around, and a number of people, including me, discussed a bit about it. Join them/us, and do that there. Here, your post will likely get flooded and overshadowed by on-topic posts, and those who read it, will probably respond in sarcasm for numerous reasons.

Would it be possible to have a diorama viewing the tenno craft from outside. Inside the cockpit we can see a pilot (Rescue mission character?) and the players warframe. The player is pointing to something off screen.

As the camera pans we can see that the character is pointing to Corpus/Grineer/Infested ships where the mission is about to take place.

So when is this contest actually ending? I'm inclined to think it's the minute following 11:59 on the 30th(in 29~ hours eastern), though the forum header says 12PM which would be noon tomorrow. Though it could also mean in 5~ hours(eastern) since the forum header says Friday. I am assuming DE is in north america with all of this though, any clarification would be nice.

As I stand here, I wonder about my past. How am I? What have I become? Why am I that I am now? Why must we all fight? Where did I come from? I was forced back into reality as blue energy coursed above me with a thunderous sound. I thought to myself one last thing, "What am I to become?"

Basically, it's about any Warframe contemplating his or her life. They wonder about their origin, what they've become, how they became what they are now. They become lost in their thoughts but, as the blue energy courses through the air above, and a thunderous noise sounds, they are forced back into the real world. As the Warframe starts to move one, they have one last thought, "What am I to become?" Will the Tenno become like the Grineer or Corpus, what about the Infested? What happens if the Tenno win? Will they become what they're fighting so hard against?

And now for something completely different.  I choose to use a classic image of culture as a logon diorama.  The idea would be a tongue and cheek look at a Stealth mission built around.....

"Dogs Playing Poker"

http://www.bicyclecards.com/images/uploads/news/Dogs-Playing-Poker-Game.jpg

But in this case... Grineer.  Something of a variant of the shooting dice in a corner.  You would see images of Tenno in Steath behind the players.

As I said... perhaps something a little different...  Enemies at play about to meet their doom.

Here's my contribution, I think it's pretty self-explanatory, the black and white for most of it was just for consistency, since the shots I got them from were all differently lighted and colored, etc, but also to make the main attraction stand out.

On a similar map where you do your tutorial, i would like to see a pod being defended by some warframes on one side while being rushed and shot by a horde of corrupted enemies.

%5BIMG%5Dhttp://imageshack.us/a/img706/2476/6o4q.th.png

%5BIMG%5Dhttp://imageshack.us/a/img4/8140/p3d.th.png

The pod would be on the ground and on the far end of the room where you start the tutorial, while all ranged enemies would be running to sides or cover, fusion moas and ancients would be rushing the pod directly.

Have rhino, vauban, trinity and frost, frost in front with rhino by its side, trinity and vauban behind each on one side of the pod.

Have all posing the start of a skill, snow globe for frost, some teslas on the ground while vauban tosses another, trinity possing a skill or shoting and rhino using roar.

The camara would go around behind the tenno and corrupted.

That would be my submission for the login.

PS: something like the 3e trailer but with corrupted and with lots more to seem like a desperate situation.

Your Warframe will be standing in an environment such as the picture above, added Snow in the background would make it much more appealing to the eye as well as making the scene come alive. Create cold air near the lights, ice dripping water, bring out the colors more. It would come to be one beautiful login screen. As well as a chance to show the beautiful scenery located around the Warframe Universe =)

Personally I would really enjoy some dioramas that give us a hint of the warframes personalities and powers, for example:

Nyx walking calmly through a crowd of grineer strangling eachother.

An image of ash appearing out of the shadows behind the stalker.

Loki kicking it back on a rooftop as some charger attack his decoy.

Ember in a room that's just ablaze.

Rhino and Frost brofisting as they are confronted by a wave of moa.

This kind of thing would be quite cool in my opinion.

i want to have a diorama that gives you a feel of being part of the Tenno and a clan(there are zero dojo dioramas), where you and other warframes are interacting outside the battlefield, and in the dojo.

a diorama where you see two frames in battle stands(one of them is your warframe)  in the dueling room,  while they hold their melee weapons. prepared to test their strength against each other. and in the background you see fellow clan members that are watching you duel. some are there to be entertained, while others are more interested in studying your techniques and fighting style and some are simply waiting to test their own strengt

and of course the diorama is rotating around the room

and you see the duel from all angles and will you will see the back of your fellow clan members while they cross the screen(had been epic if the other warframes was the actual clan members in-game frames)

something like this I believe

(sorry if I wrote something wrong, I'm not so good with English grammatical. and sorry I got no time to draw something better because I saw this contest on the forums like 2 days ago)

Well, here goes. Hate to have to stay up for this. Feels like homework, but that's procrastination for ya.

Backdrop: starchart or other starry background already existing in game for various event dioramas.

Foreground figure: A Tenno (either an Excal, or the player character, if that's how you want it done) striking a pose as shown below; it'd be ideal if there's an ingame Lotus model in the works, but I'm not holding my breath for that.

Background figure: The Tennobile (aka, the Tenmobile, the Tenno-mobile, the extraction craft)tilted at an angle, midflight.

Camera pan: camera pans from left to right and back, with the center of rotation on the front of the Tennobile.

This is simply a classic homage to the end of Mach GO GO GO/Speed Racer intro, done in WF style.

Here's a few photos that hopefully shows the layout visually (sorry, no video. whipped this up last min):

XlgQt8d.jpg

DC3EKwQ.jpg

tKULuY5.jpg

The game box shows how the Tennobile would be tilted upward slightly (the front of the spacecraft).

Lotus model isn't really finished... plus pretty bad posture problem and limb proportions due to bad armature. But meh.

Thought I'd kill two birds with one stone by doing a "doodle" and submitting the diorama idea at the same time.

I was thinking about an armory view of sorts. We have plenty of guns and melee weapons but the focus is always on characters rather than their gear.

So, I've whipped up a quick blockout:
45tBXq4.jpg

-Theme would be either dojo or Orokin. I currently have it lit with warm lights like the Orokin tiles.
-Weapons adorning the walls, could even be multiple racks that switch around. Not extending too far out. But if it did, something akin to the original Borderlands trailer armory.
-Filigree running along the walls and some of the floor.
-The ponds would be connected by visible streams covered by glass in an X pattern. Or, for a more fluid look, have swirls and Tenno text be the glass.
-Koi and lily pads on the ponds.
-I was thinking either a pedestal or a small bridge across the center pond. I went with a small bridge here because it was more aesthetically pleasing, but it lacks handrails.
-Perhaps vertical instead of horizontal lights coming from the corners where the grey supports meet the walls.

-Could have a Tenno inspecting weapons on a bench or the pedestal. Trying them out, cleaning them (disassembled weapons), reaching for one, etc.
-Have weapons featured that the player owns. Or fill the room with random weapons but have one section with the player's gear and the player's current Warframe checking them out.
-Spotlights from the walls or ceiling aimed at the gear on the walls. If a pedestal was chosen for the center, a single spotlight directly overhead shining on it.

I'm glad to see someone who puts the Stalker in a way that's IMO more fitting than making him the traditional "poster boy". I don't think he's meant to have a lot of emphasis on a static image, which is why making him appear with his signature light flicker is, in my opinion, a better representation.

i got some more ideas but sadly, only 1 submission is allowed, so i took my oldest concept of a scene i am supposed to draw back then ..

i'm thinking about showcasing Nyx with her well known ability as a massive CC, Chaos, the set is in Grineer's boss platform, with our well known Captain as the assassination target. The view point camera is moving slowly from Nyx's back, to her left, showing the Grineer soldier killing each other due to Nyx's Chaos until it reach Vor's back, showing Nyx front view walking slowly approaching him.

i hope the diorama would take a lot of lightning plays, the overall scheme is to be lacking of lightning so that the Grineer soldiers in the background or in between the Nyx and the view point is to be either blurred (with in-game DoF and AA ? or is it possible to make them out of focus ?) or blacked, - and as, some things i really like from Warframe is the lightning effects in the game play, i think this could be highlighted in this diorama set by how the blacked Grineers are partially exposed to lights from gun fires and explosives.
image 1: characters

5e74f942e53443c78db9bf2c2875940a-d6kau2o

Vor is on the floor with battle damages, like some electricity on his artificial limbs with a panic expression,
Nyx is walking slowly approaching him, i'm not sure how her gesture should be, maybe she's walking casually, or with a ready-to-kill stance, but i prefer if she's angry and just want to stab Vor in his heart so badly that she's ignoring stray bullets from the Grineer soldiers under her Chaos.

image 2: viewpoint range and background characters

2_3_by_trionfante-d6kawti.jpg

the picture on the top is the basic placement where Vor and Nyx is, it's Grineer boss battle tile set,
the hanging platform behind could be deleted totally for a smaller diorama build (see pic no 3 too for viewpoint range)
the shadows from Grineer soldiers between Nyx and our viewport is to be made blurry (is it possible ?) or to be made hidden in the shadow with only part of them exposed to light from shooting the Grakata or other explosives. (my main point here is to give both distraction that adds more focus to Nyx and Vor in the middle of the diorama)

image 3: diorama size and set

3_3_by_trionfante-d6kaxme.jpg

continuing from image 2, the scene on top is the usual Grineer boss battle set (please don't mind the scale between the place and the character, also i missed two boxes on the left side (it's the two near the lake side)), if the 1st one that showing the hanging platform is too big and the lightning needs to be brighter for it to show up then i think making the diorama smaller is better, so that the overall scheme stays a bit dark. By making the diorama smaller, then the normal Boss battle tile set is to be cleared from environmental obstacles like the boxes etc, and making the floor larger with more Grineers on the background shooting and throwing plasma grenade to each other

tbh i'm not really sure how this would work better in normal diorama lightning or make it darker, but i guess the art team could make the best out of it just in case if this diorama set up comes to be the top 3 lol.

btw Gestalt's chibby lotus is awesome.
the images was posted in my dArt account http://trionfante.deviantart.com/art/1-3-396894912?ga_submit_new=10%253A1377868710&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1&ga_recent=1'>here

^ Very in-depth and looks great. It's also a good reverse-Vor situation.

By the way, you just had to choose Nyx huh? We all know how thing's gonna end up...

http://yuikami-da.deviantart.com/art/73-380213685

thanks !

not really, at first it was my request to miss Miyake Wong to draw her, and i choose to draw her as Nyx (as i was longing for this frame for about more than a month ever since she was released, damn Phorid ..) with the diorama set above, with the idly Nyx looking at the player (straight to the camera) and all the mess in blurry motion and lightning plays but it's still just a WIP,

but then i saw Yuikami and her comics, and her love to Vor, and then there is this event here, so i made a new plan based on how Yuikami is doing a revenge for her love - i took it she came to met Vor the 1st time using one of the starter frame, as Yuikami is fell in love at first sight, but Vor is not, he's too obsessed with the Twin Queen, so Yuikami was forced to beat him so badly that he couldn't move so she could find another way to take him. Yuikami then go in an adventure across the Origin System with the aid of her Giant Octopus and the Lotus to find a Warframe suit that suits her (eh) along with the ability to take Vor only for her, forever, and the frame is the Nyx.

she came back to Tolstoj, stunning Vor with her frame's ability and took him forever .. for her and only her ....

her obsession to Vor was altered in the submission above with anger for a revenge, but in the original version, the Nyx (Yuikami) would walk happily and casually approaching Vor, ignoring everything around them (including the stray bullets and grenade explosions that hits her), what's else to be noted if the one you love is right in front of you, just a grab and they are yours ?

absolutely, a bit of pink giant tentacle loves ........
