Adding A New Weapon Before Fixing The Miter

Content team is different from Fix team, why can't some others still not understand that?

Forreal. Never seen people complain about new content, especially when we JUST got a whole new tileset and 2 weapons a week ago, not to mention all the changes/fixes.

Yeah, and not even week - more like 4 days ago? They will collect enough relevant data, they will buff Miter accordingly...

Content team messed up the Miter. It wasn't ready for relase. Ergo, content team should stop focusing on new weapons and sort out the mess they made.

Anyway, the delicious irony is that they added a new charge-up sound whilst leaving the charge itself still broken, lol.

Fix, not buff. A buff implies the gun functioning properly. It doesn't.

They'll fix it.

And can't see the problem if they want to release new content while fixing.

Because Fix and Content team are two different thing, sooooo......what's the problem?

Some of us wanna get our inner Van Helsing on and fire some sawblades man...:P

See you can't really "fix" something before it gets a chance to be broken. They won't really know how to properly optimize the Miter without releasing it first.

This is not about "optimizing" it - the thing doesn't even work at all. It has to be fully funtional before you can start "optimizing" it.

Then how about you start giving some constructive criticism on how to fix it?

There's good feedback and bad feedback, think which one fits you.

Mitre has an interesting mechanic and it will get a revamp if it doesn't work, just like the Ignis.

Are you aware that it is bugged and currently charging it does NOT increase the damage done?

Doesn't...work...? So the Ancient I just dropped with my lvl 28 Miter on Xini was a fluke. Okay... Good to know.

Btw, Mag Bullet Attractor + Miter is hilarious.

Well for one they could make the charge shot actually deal more damage than uncharged shots.

Seems like that'd be some very, very basic stuff anyone with a brain would test before releasing a weapon.

You talk like you're certain it's supposed to be like that.

For all we know, there might be a bug in the code that calculates the weapons damage, leading to same damage for charges of all durations.

Chill out brah, you're way too hostile.

And there was a time where Orthos Prime had the exact same stats as regular orthos. Now, it's fixed.

Take a chill pill. Unless you can do what they do don't throw around "very basic stuff anyone with a brain would test" S#&$.

If I designed a charge weapon, you can be sure that I would check the charge functionally before release, yes

lol

Bad show, DE.

Really bad show.

The fix team is one dude and 99% of the team creates content.

This is why we get new content instead of proper fixes... Kinda like how we have a poll in the DC for what we'd like to see more of and grineer weapons across the board had the lowest votes...

The last three* weapons we've had have been grineer weapons...

Seriously what is even the point of these forums? For us to yell at eachother?

Maybe I am "hostile" because I spent two days farming against crooked RNG odds for this thing, and then they don't even bother fixing it before throwing out more weapons for the sheep to buy.

I can only imagine how the people who bought it with Plat feel.

^what CeePee said.

You're not quite sure if the problem is in the Miter itself. Oh and if you're honestly thinking DE just releases this stuff without testing then you are seriously wrong.

Game coding is not just some one layer thing. Make one mistake and you affect more than you know.

Actually he's right... they don't test things, they have us test it.

If they *DID* test it before pushing it out live it would stomp a lot of bugs and issues before they happen... I cannot tell you how many blatantly obvious bugs have been pushed out, I lost count.

Maybe just maybe they already had the Hind all ready to go and not because they put off fixing something to go make it? QUIT WHINING.

It was known days before we had access to that farming that Miter was broken. Yet you still went ahead and farmed it. Why did you farm it knowing that it was broken. QUIT WHINING.

You're very thick, aren't you?

To me it sounds like you're the sheep, going instantly after every new weapon thinking they're more awesome than your 5-forma Acrid or Supra.

They release a weapon after spending time designing it, weapon gets feedback, DE fixes what's broken.

I'm sure they rushed past testing on this gun - it is literally meant to do one thing and one thing only: fire charged saw blades.

And it fails to do that.

Obviously it wasn't tested.
