Exalted Umbra Blade Issue - Bug

So, this happened during an Excavation run.
I was using Excalibur Umbra and channeling Exalted Umbra Blade.
I had been using it for some time without an issue.

Suddenly, I was unable to melee at all, and I could not turn off the Exalted Umbra Blade.
I was still able to use my other three abilities and Transference.
Going into my Operator form and returning did not fix the issue. I was still unable to use the Exalted Umbra Blade, and I was still met with 'Ability in Use' when I attempted to end the channel.
Jumping off the map also did not fix it. I respawned with the Exalted Umbra Blade still active and was still unable to either swing it or turn it off. I was however still able to use my other three abilities and my Transference.

I also tried Unstuck, but the results were the same as when I jumped off the map.
The way I eventually fixed it was by dying and respawning that way  (which took forever...) .
I can't seem to consistently recreate this issue, so I'm unsure what caused it here.
