Automatic Host Migration - Fix Laggy Hosts

This is a quick one: Seems like most of the games I join these days are laggy and unplayable. Can't switch guns, can't pick up energy orbs, and so on.

 

Why don't we automatically trigger a host migration if somebody's connection is too bad, or whenever a new player joins? Some people just have no business hosting, but they can't really help it because warframe forces the person who starts a game to be the host. Host should automatically migrate to whoever has the speediest connection, IMO.

It seems like every game I join lately is mired by godawful lag where I can't even switch weapons and it takes 30 seconds for my energy bar to go up after getting any pickups. This is absolutely an unacceptable gameplay experience. I have a good connection, but some people just have no business hosting ANYTHING. Can we please trigger an automatic host migration to the player with the fastest connection each time a new player joins, or if too much lag is detected or SOMETHING? It's just unacceptable for half the games I join to be a completely unplayable mess. I know these lagging hosts don't exactly have a choice since this game is so sparsely populated they're pretty much forced to host games themselves if they're doing anything but xini, but still.

Enter/Return key every few sentences works a treat!

 

I'd love the option to host every game, i have a 80/40mbit connection and solid PC.

There should be a vote option ingame, or, prioritize those with better connections (either by opt in, or, a network test).

 

Saying that, Dedicated servers would be the best option. But again, I'll need a PS4 to have that privilege........

Yeah, sorry about that. I was peeved since I had just gotten out of yet another terrible laggy game, edited to get my point across better. Sadly it seems like stuttering is the norm for the gameplay these days, there's not much point to all this smooth, actiony gameplay if you almost never get to experience unless you're playing with your clan or solo.

 

edit: Host migration also seems to be a common fix for bugged doors or exterminate missions. Being able to vote to trigger a host migration (or to kick a player, or w/e) would be pretty handy.

host migration just suxxors please fix this hate to see how many mods and stuff I lose to this seems it happens quite often, should be some compensation for all the lost items.
