Why Does Mag Cost 175P?

I know that Loki/Excalibur are 75 and are starting options (read:free) for new players, but Mag is as well and costs 175 Platinum from the Market. Is this just because Volt is 75?

 

Wouldn't this basically just encourage every new player ever to make a Mag instead of Ex/Lo?

Because that's the original price from back when she was the alpha and omega.

The reason why volt is 75 is because he was the starter frame that mag replaced in U7 (closed to open beta). Least that's why I think that's that.

It wouldn't matter as new players can't see the price of her as they can't access the market without picking a frame. Since we all know Mag is still the worst frame.

As for the reason of her plat cost is she was not a starter frame before U7. So they didn't change her price, not like anyone would buy her with plat.

Well, if Mag replaced Volt as a starter, shouldn't they at the very least swap their prices? I'd expect Mag to drop to 75.

Mag is WIDELY regarded as a bad frame, even after her buff. I wouldn't say the worst, but not at all on par with the average.

Her price is probably from the time when she was considered pretty good (at the very least before banshee and saryn I think). I remember when there was a time that you'd only find enemies that weren't crippled/killed by crush (which used to be considered to have a pretty long range) were relatively rare, since endgame content wasn't all that plentiful yet.
