Using DXVK on linux is expressly forbidden and can result in an autoban.  Given that DXVK exists for the sole purpose of faithfully recreating DX11 compatibility on Linux and to shrink the performance gap, there ought to be an explicit exemption.  I know Warframe will never support Linux, but it would still be nice to not have the risk of being banned for using it either.

DXVK is just a replacement to wined3d. wined3d is already a DirectX->OpenGL compatibility layer. DXVK is just a DirectX->Vulkan compatibility layer and can even be used on Windows. Using DXVK is no different than using wined3d. Either way you are replacing the original DirectX implementation. In theory, DXVK should be no more "dangerous" than using wined3d which you are probably already using if you are playing with Wine.

Also, d3d11.dll, and dxgi.dll are not located within the Warframe install directory.

Linux is kinda funny about things that aren't explicitly made for it, the users find a way. :T

Right, but this is asking for a company to support a platform they don't support and have no plans to support.

"Hey DE, we'll happily make our own unofficial support for the game if you guys just don't ban us for trying."

'No lol, keep your money. - ❤️ DE'

A company does not have to plan to support something, to have people ask them to consider it.  That's kinda what... feedback is, pointing at something and stating your opinion on how it might be improved.  OP isn't even asking them for a full port. :T

no its asking for a company to not ban people who use something that makes it work on the platform. Theres a difference between asking for them to support it and asking for them to not ban people for using it. A company can be neutral on something, doesnt have to be as black and white as you are making it.

erm.. I think you missread that post entirely. [DE]Nate says it's -NOT- forbidden.
Here's the actual quote from the post:

Hello MEXAHOTABOP,

The long and the short version is that if you are changing .dll files within your computer for your own purposes, there will not be any backlash at all. The time this becomes an issue is if .dll files are changes in the Warframe library and then you logon, or if you are currently logged on, and you change the .dll files in the Warframe library.

Hopefully this helps resolve the issue.

DXVK does not alter Warframe nor any of it's libraries in any way, shape or form. Neither does my updater script, and neither does WINE in linux. All DXVK does is translate DirectX 11 API calls to Vulkan, the same thing WINE does for DirectX11 to OpenGL.

Again, no Warframe libraries, content, or otherwise are modifed -AT ALL-.
