Stalker Needs To Be Redone

I know, such thing doesnt exist.

But imagine that he exists:
Instead of blinking lights while talking, appearing infront of aware player, and getting instantly bursted.
Lights would blink, he would NOT talk at all. He would appear where you started, he would then rush map to get to you, and lights blinked more and more the closer he is to targeted player. When he reaches player, ALL lights go down, and its completly dark, you see just as much as your flashlight lets you. after 3-4 seconds he would start fighting. Light still down. You would see just muzzle flashes, he would finally be a nightmare he is supposed to be. Hard to kill due to being barelly visible. Now add a music that speeds up and gets more dramatic the closer he is to you. When he reaches you, music gets shut off along with lights, and all you hear is loud heartbeat. You dont know where he is, who is he targeting, you are just scared and confused.

That is what stalker should be if he existed.

Hard to kill due to being barelly visible.

Hard to kill because of aimbot AI and overpowered weaponry.

 

Until they fix his ai/aiming mechanics and weapons he's using there's no point in making it any harder.

 

Granted, that there are mechanics which make him totally harmless, like trapping him inside snowglobe or being invisible and casting skills on him, but still when he's fighting, it's not fun really.

I'd like it so that Stalker wouldn't target you if you switch to a lower level frame. Twice has he killed me while I'm using my lvl 9 Banshee, even though I think I triggered him with my lvl 30 Rhino.

 

(The worst part is that one of the times he killed me I had no revives left and was halfway through the mission.)

(Unrelated, but revives should be refillable with credits instead of plat.)

The first time he shows up for new players there should still be text.

 

But Im in favor of him having different styles per encounter... why?

 

Stalker at first was really hard for me, and Im sure for others also, as time goes by you learn his tactics, you get better and you get better weaponry, having different tactics makes encounters with him more challenging as you may get to learn each, but you will not know until he attacks. There has to be some tactics that are similar in order to make them as challenging as possible, why some similar? So you dont memorize oh he did this, now I do this.

 

I like the idea, just needs some polishing in order to actually become a challenge, and not another oh he is going to do this, so I will do this :)

Unless he catches you when you are using lvl 10 stuff, hes harmless. Most the time he dies just after spawning, or right after first slash dash he does. No need for tricks or traps, just burst him right where he spawns. Just meh.

That thing exist, and trust me, its really scary.

Its my girl, when she realized i didn't do a thing from chores i supposed to when she was working...

All because i was in game...

I can agree with that. Mix multiple tactics with you being mostly blind during encounter, and we have a horror ready. You could NOT just kill him, there would be no way to guess what he does next, and you would not see anything. You would get horrified. No matter what.

The stalker does not only need an overhaul when it comes to him "beeing scary" but also needs a huge boost in dmg or something to make him stronger, he is a bad joke when he spawns in a MP match. And even solo he just gets obliterated in 10 sec with most of the weapons.

Here is something I just thought of: How about a mechanic for him? He can only be damaged while he is visible and he has a certain window where he goes visible to fire with his weapons. For the rest of the time he is invisible (and either can't be damaged at all or has like 80% resistances at max lvl  to everything and immunity to cc) furthermore while he is invisible he only uses his meele attack, he gets visible for a short period of time, maybe 1-2 sec once he tries to hit the player he is targeting and this pattern could repeat a few times.Alternatively the invisibility could break close to the time when the meele actually hits. It would make the Stalker more challenging and get rid of the feel "Meh third taunt, come here and die so I can continue the mission".

Those mechanics could be used after he reaces a certain lvl or just make the dmg reduction or time before his strike hits scale with his lvl so low lvl players won't get crushed by him. Another option would be, to only make him this strong during certain missions (void, derelic, or nightmare).

Obviously they are just something that came to my mind when thinking about the stalker, I am sure a lot of ppl could think of more ways to make him stronger and intimidating. I'd like to hear what u guys think, if this is a bit over the top or w/e u would do to make him more fun.
