Difference Between Scindo And Orthos?

ok i checked on wiki and their stats all look exactly the same except scindo has 5 more base damage

 

wtf is the difference?? and why do ppl say that scindo is better as a constant normal attack weapon while orthos is a better charge attack weapon? both their charge damages and charge times are the same!

 

SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS SHENANIGANS TO ME

If I'm not mistaken, the Orthos has a longer reach, which is usually it's main selling point.

 

For the most part, that's the only noticeable difference.

Scindo has a much larger, more powerful downward slam attack that knocks enemies down.

 

Orthos has more reach.

Orthos has longer range, but I prefer the scindo

With a Scindo you look like a badass ready to cleave some faces. (awesome look)

With a Orthos however you look like a spinning ninja of doom. (awesome animation)

scindo

crazy jump attack slam knockdown

360 degree arc on charge

shorter reach

scindo is the only weopon that u cant get staggered while swinging.

Orthos Prime has even longer reach and more charge damage.

And don't forget that the Scindo has a very slooooow swing speed, whereas Ortos is pretty damn fast for a heavy.

Scindo, Gram, Hate, and Reaper Prime are good alternatives to Orthos IF you wish for ability to knock multiple enemies DOWN onto the ground.
