A sweet, Vauban got a passive change. Bastille augment addition is nice as well. Still gotta test the charging Tesla balls (will the ability screen display the charged stats?). But could we possibly get tripwire to last permanently like the other mines (you can only set up 4 anyway, it just isn’t worth using as is outside of a gag. If it could be set up in a defense to permanently create some slight choke points during a run it might get some more use out of it) and possibly increase the 4 second duration of armor strip from shred? (or even make the the armor strip permanent. There’s no point in leaving a bunch of mines around that strip armor and creating a booby trapped field. Shred is more useful as a grenade that you use and immediately have to shoot the enemy before it’s armor is back). Just to give these abilities a little more use.

I'm honestly extremely disappointed by those changes. Nothing about minelayer, nothing about giving him at least slight more armor, and extreme charge time for a Tesla that does slightly more damage. Honestly, I expected way more from you, and as a Vauban player, I'm very disappointed.

Given the long charge time, it would have made more sense to make, just for example, Vauban casting 3 grenades, half the size of a regular Tesla, with half the range, half the duration but double the power and wirh the element proc, because normal Tesla don't proc electricity, their status chance is almost nonexistent. That said, I really hope you will rethink at him, and at those "tweaks". Tweaking Vauban isn't impossible, he is an already difficult frame to obtain, and even the prime counterpart is a challenge to build, he can't be "an overpowered frame easy to get", so please, please, please make him more suited for the new gameplay, he's overall too much static even for people like me that choose to use it in every situation as a kind of 'Batman frame'. You have done a wonderful work with other frames like Zephyr, so why do you hate Vauban so hard?

Vauban Changes & Fixes:

  • Fixed a large hitch each time you click Randomize under the loadout button in the Arsenal.
  • Fixed not being able to donate the Mote Amp if you have multiple.
  • Fixed Itzal Fighter Escort drones pausing if you get too far away from them.
  • Fixed "Falcon" Operator voice missing dialog during first mission in The Sacrifice quest
  • Fixed Kraken sounds not being muffled correctly during stealth effects.
  • Fixed Drop Ships not playing incoming sound.
  • Fixed Warframes playing the currently equipped Focus school idle animation instead of their standard Warframe idle animation when loading into the Plains.
  • Fixed a script error when entering Operator Void Mode.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Rhino’s Rhino Stomp ability.
  • Fixed a script error when casting Ivara’s Prowl ability.

Fixes:

Telas ... buff you need to gain energy from enemys  and increase the duration and base damage.... will be great buff for the vauban , and bring back armor passive for this squish warframe or improve this damage

You know what I would love to see, maybe some synergy with Tesla and Vauban’s other abilities. Just think about it. Throw a Tesla into Bastille and it becomes an electric fence. Throw one into vortex and it becomes a lightning vortex. Or you know at least something that will make Tesla a little more special then making them chargable. It’s a nice change, but a little more oomph couldn’t hurt.

I don’t get why people are griping about his passive. I think it’s an amazing change of a passive that actually makes sense with his kit. It’s still Tesla and minelayer that need a little more oomph in my opinion.

1 vauban NEED a rework on minelayer urgent, i dont care if its a turret as many people ask or a spider drone that explodes, it need to be something usefull and that do something actually usefull.
2 a better text in the 3 augment so people dont get confused over the changes.
3 make the tesla charge worth, making it do double damage is not enough if i can just spam and get the same effect and better because u can spam like 6 or 8 in the charge time of one.
4 a little tweak on his armor or shields (maybe both) to make him less squishy....

In my opinion, he still needs a major update. I know, I know, that's super surprising and a tooootally uncommon opinion (sarcasm).

I think that his 2 needs to be an assortment of turrets. He would have a rocket launcher with high damage and knockdown, a tesla coil that replaces his 1 and can maybe chain across multiple enemies, a healing beam, and maybe a standard machine gun. I don't currently have any ideas on what to do with his 1. It isn't terrible now, although the charge is still a bit too long, but if there was a tesla coil turret, it would no longer be very useful.

His 2 is simply incredibly weak, with shred barely doing anything (at least they fixed it only shredding your armor and not the enemies'), concuss being useless compared to his other cc, bounce being the definition of pointless, and trip laser being nothing more that something to play around with if you're bored. There is not any reason why anyone would cast his 2 in any remotely serious fight.

Right now, it's a good start. His new passive is a great idea, his 1 isn't useless, and you went and reversed the 'only repel every 4 seconds' that you first introduced with this update. Just please don't stop at this. I don't think you're done, but I feel the need to mention it.

Your 4 is a major point instead; he can't survive AT ALL, he's no Limbo that can disappear into Rift, he's no Mirage that can make enemies to shoot at her dopplegangers. He's just a frame that needs a way to survive

Many Many people have said this before, but i shall join them and say it again:

Why not a Turret?

You already have a mesh, textures, the code to spawn it and the aiming&functionality in the Xiphos Sentry Gun - just copy that and test how vauban works with them.

All you need to do is make it scale with Power Strength (Health & Dmg) and duration - done.
Optionally you could make it an exalted weapon and allo mods to be extra awesome, but that would admittedly be more work than some copy paste.

I play Vauban a lot, and i do have to agree

He can be the king of CC if played right but MineSlayer and his Tesla do need a better Buff. (ether to 1 the DMG or 2 the effect of the abilities and how they can work his the rest of his kit.)

DE. please take a closer look at this frame to work out his MANY ON GOING ISSUES. 

His 1 need better DMG or to work with his other abilities 

His 2 needs to go our be change to better his Kit.

His 3 and 4 are fine. but the AUg on his 3 is Mhhhhh at best.

I would say, given Vauban nature, to make the ability multiple type of turret. Let me explain

You cycle trough 4 types of turrets, and you can set 2 with the maxed ability. Give them same debuff/power option as minelayer, and you have 2 tactical auto turrets on the field that scales with Power strenght and other stats and help you to stay alive and to feel like a military engineer, that is Vauban's role

And why exactly can't we also donate the last one? Unlike before now we can get a new one easily if we sell it prematurely.

I'd preffer not to have it junking up my inventory.

Wanted to reiterate this because - and this is a wild guess - but I believe the reason why DE hasn't given us a turret already is because Tesla more or less is one.

That said, I've seen people suggest an "exalted turret" and various other things.  I suggested spider mines in my earlier post.

But if y'all really want a turret, I have one other potential suggestion: A deployable Rampart turret.  i.e. a high damage mountable turret with regenerating ammo that any Tenno in the squad could use.  It would go well with Vauban's defensive kit (though I'd still prefer something like spider mines for use outside defense scenarios) and it'd be entirely possible for other players to use it if Vauban himself has better weapons.

I think that's a better suggestion than Vauban essentially having his own Xiphos.  It seems more creative, less press-2-then-AFK, etc.

Yeah, I don't understand all the "worst warframe" against Khora at all.  I mean I agree that her kit needs work, but frankly she's the only warframe I've played that can achieve a 1.69 sprint speed with only 2 mods AND has more than 300 armor.  She's like Nova with actual survivability or Saryn but actually fast.  Again, I agree her kit compares to neither, but as a frame do do all my syndicate dailies (i.e. lv25-35 content) with, Khora is perfect.  She has good enough CC with her 4th for Mobile Defense, and enough self-healing with Vinari that if I get clusterf***ed by a trio of bombards under a nullifier, I don't have to burn a health pizza.

I mean, sure, she's not perfect, totally agree.  But then no frame is.  And none should be.  Sure, Whipclaw needs to be replaced and her 2nd needs some tweaks (because why would you use it given that her 4th exists???) but as a frame to drop in, find medallions, finish mission, and leave, she's great for the job.  In short, she has replaced Excal as my go-to "run and gun" frame because she's faster with the same armor.  That alone makes her good.  Not great, but certainly good.

Just reserve the hate for where it's warranted, guys.  There's certainly plenty of quality places to direct it.
