So I just got Nidus. I was a bit disappoint to discover that the new quest had nothing to do with the infested room in the orbiter. However I had an idea. I moved Nidus at the infested door aaaand... It opened ! The thing is, what's the purpose of that room ? I let my Nidus sit inside it, now the infested mass at the center communicates with me. I'm sure there's something else to do, but what ? I tried to bring my operator inside the room : nothing happened.
