kimahn Posted September 3, 2013 Share Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) design : rough pen crap, ill do a photoshop version another day the concept, in brief : a charging weapon, who accumulate energy into a plasma cone, at the tip of the weapon.3 charge levels :1 circle red cone : 5m plasma shot, dealing damage and causing DoT (try to imagine a large flux shot, limited @5m)if charge in maintained, white cone : 15m plasma shot, in trident spread, same mechanicif charge is maintained further, blue cone : the cone morph into a plasma ball, who fly with glaive speed, exploding on contact, making splash damage and causing DoT6ammo clips, charge 1 consume 2 ammo, charge 2 : 4, charge 3: 6, 300 munitions stockany ideas to improve this ?edit : i really like the concept of hurting myself if i m not cautious. it makes me more aware of my surroundings, so charge 3 should have this kind of limitation :)edit 2 : i faceplanted on the munitions : i wanted to be able to make choices, fire rate or big boom, i must be more like12 ammo clip :charge 1 : 1 ammo so 12 shots before reloadcharge 2 : 2 ammo, so 6 shots before reloadcharge 3 : 4 ammo, so 3 shots before reload300 ammo should make a total of 100 max charged Edited September 3, 2013 by kimahn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kimahn Posted September 3, 2013 Author Share Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) the damage should not be adjusted by players, its a pure dev thing, if i had to guess ill go for : charge 1 (1s) : 5m lenght, 1m wide laser like shot, wide at the start, point @ the end, serration dmg : 100+ 10dmg/s *12s charge 2 (2s): 15m, 3 ways, same mechanic 175 dmg + 20dmg/s *12s charge 3 (3s): infinite range, on contact explosion, 300+ 350aoe dmg + 30dmg/s *12s aoe around the foe i dont know it dot should crush each other, stack, or accumulate. ill go accumulate. because it encourage to use the 3 Edited September 3, 2013 by kimahn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
