Hello friends, and non-friends. My name is Joves and I'm an alcoholic looking to breathe some life into my shìtty old clan that's been around since before your mom was born. Do you like grinding repetitive content for hours on end? Do you like sarcasm and epic dank souls references? Do you like men? Then you're in the right place.

"But Joves, I just met you... I'm not sure if I'm ready for this kind of commitment!"

Well fear not! Here at the Abysswalkers, we don't believe in consent! So here are some ground rules to give you an idea of who we're looking for:

1. Most importantly: English. Speak it, speak it well. Would also prefer you live in North America, for connectivity/activity purposes. Be social as well, don't join just to sit silently in clan chat. Play with your clanmates instead of randoms when you can. Join us in Teamspeak so we can make dìck jokes together. Be our friend, not the creepy old man that stands outside our house for exactly three hours every night starting at 2 AM.

*EDIT/DISCLAIMER* Just to clarify, joining us on Teamspeak is a requirement. Having a mic is not.

2. Even more importantly: Be committed. BE COMMITTED. Seriously, be committed. I don't want to log in and see that you've been offline for a year unless you sent me a suicide note a year prior. You can take breaks, this game gets boring for sure. That's totally cool. But don't request to join unless you've already sold your soul to Steve and his band of goons. Before I invite you, convince me that you enjoy this game to the point that you will continue playing it for a significant amount of time. Best way to prove this is generally to show that you've already been doing so. Founders, closed beta players, depressingly high mastery rank players. Those're the kinda folks I'm looking for, people who know what they're doing and have been doing it for quite some time. Exceptions can be made, of course, but if your commitment is not immediately apparent you will have to convince me one way or another.

3. Above all else: Be mature. Don't care how old you are. And I don't mean be polite and wear a suit, I mean no stupid arguments, and have some balls(or firm ovaries). Chances are we're going to make fun of you, chances are we're gonna call you mean names, chances are I'm gonna demote you to "Dìckwraith". RELAX. It's all in good fun, you can do the same thing to the rest of us. If you DO have an actual problem with somebody, take it up with me. Don't start stupid passive-aggressive arguments in clan chat. If I wanted a hostile environment I'd make a DotA 2 clan. (I don’t think those exist)

4. Rule #4? Simple. Take it easy, chill out. Relax! You're handsome and radical, you've got nothing to worry about. Enjoy life! We're all friends here. As long as you like or pretend to like the same music as me. Harshing of mellows is strictly prohibited. This is the most important rule.

That about covers it. There is a 5th rule, but it is a secret due to being the most important rule of all. You will be kicked without warning if you break it.

About us

You wouldn't, but I'll tell you about us anyway. Starting with myself, I'm a sarcastic prick. Been playing Warframe since Update 5.3. I hate it. I founded this clan years ago when the feature was first introduced, for a long time we were a lively shadow/storm tier clan filled with veterans and new players alike, but now I'm old and bitter so everybody left and I only recruit the vets.

As for the clan in general, the regulars are committed to the game (BE COMMITTED), and as I've expressed, will be around at least for a few weeks surrounding significant updates. We have lives ('cept for me), we all like to do other things in our free time, we all disappear for days at a time every now and then. You can do the same.

We're competitive in nature but have no interest in events, in their current form. We've never given a damn about event leaderboards and never will unless they start making them a test of skill rather than endurance. We do enjoy pushing for survival records and things of the like, though, since you can do that whenever. Raids are our main interest in terms of endgame content, we enjoyed Laws of Retribution and are looking forward to whatever raids DE plans to add in the future. We're looking to form a coordinated team to take such things on(especially for the nightmare variants), so if you're into that kinda thing then your presence would be much appreciated.

The main demographic I'm going for is experienced players who have been with the game for a good amount of time and know what they're doing, but are looking for a more laid-back, casual experience than other "veterans-only" clans. As I've said, we enjoy competition but it is not a priority. We would also prefer that Artorias be your waifu.

As for voice communication, we use Teamspeak, so be sure to poke your head in every now and then. Expect and tolerate offensive humor.

Three more important details:

-We are not a large clan. And we have no interest in becoming one. We are closer to a circle of friends than a large community.

-I am only your boss when I need to be, otherwise you don't have to show me any more respect than you would anyone else. This is a Warframe clan, not a small business.

-We have a designated Meme Pope.

We are also part of a two-clan mini-alliance. BakedForDays, a brilliant man of questionable sexual orientation, and proud leader of "The Butter Biscuits", co-owns it with me. We are the "Pilgrims of Dark". DANK. SOULS. (emblem pending, wtb artist)

There are a few things to note about our little alliance:

-We're both Storm tier, although I may end up downgrading my clan to Shadow Tier depending on how many active members I'm able to recruit, if and when that actually becomes a feature(like it was supposed to in U16).

-Our clans have separate focuses:

The Abysswalkers = jaded veterans who are trapped in the hell that is Warframe

The Butter Biscuits = newer, less experienced players who still have hope of escaping

-We are not looking for more clans. We like our cozy little loveshack, thank you.

-Post in this thread, tell us a bit about yourself, express your commitment to Warframe.

-PM me on the forums or in-game, and then do the same thing.

-Add me on Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/MeetTheJoves/), meet the Joves, and do the same thing in a sexier, more intimate environment.

-Take off all your clothes, take out your ceremonial knife and your dead platypus, and perform the ritual described in section 48b of your Book of Abysswalking Fifth Edition. Our agent will contact you before the end of the next moon cycle.

A little about myself:


Spent 600 some hours during U8 and U10, burned out and left the game. 


Started to play the game again quite recently only to be overwhelmed by the amount of new content.


Most of what I have became sub par or incorrectly forma'd. (dmg 2.0 lol)


So there is a huge farm ahead of me to get back into the current meta, however, this is also why I play the game.

Hello, my Ign is Blacklion697, but you can call me lion. I'm and active players whose favorite frame is valkyre. I'm a berserk type player so i like to melee a lot. my favorite game mode is defense or survival, the horde of enemy's running to my bare claws is exhilarating. Aye. I'm some Mastery Rank 4 noob who started playing this game around Update 7 IIRC, then fell out of the game for a while, then came back only to discover that my CRT Monitor was on it's last legs as judged by the ear-splitting sound it made whenever I tried to play for more than 10 seconds. Then I got a new monitor and never came back until like 2 days ago and now I've found out that a whole bunch of new missions and crap have been added to the game, and stealth is sort of viable now! I always hated farming Defense so I'm looking for some bros who can help me give sword wedgies to people and failing that sticking swords in Corpus nutz.


 


As for non-warframe stuff, I'm currently juggling around playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, System Shock 2, This game, and watching hours upon hours of Zero Punctuation
