Not fixed. I just disintegrated the Teralyst right now with Chroma + Arca Plasmor. No drops at all, Teralyst just disappears

I'm having this issue as well. Just did three bounties in a row(even restarted the game once between) and got absolutely nothing, not even standing for completing the bounty or even the individual objectives. It worked just fine before the hotfix.

  2. So, PoE has mostly lived up to my own expectations and is fine overall. Of course, there are some issues, but the one that sticks out to me is Zaw crafting; They're supposed to be modular weapons, and while they technically are, they don't exactly feel like it.

Personally, I've had two issues with the crafting system so far:

    • There is currently no way to see what stats a weapon will have until you've already commited to buying the blueprints and crafting the parts.
      • Should be solved easily by adding a "preview weapon" section or something like that.
    • Once you've already forged a Zaw, there's no tweaking it or going back. Shouldn't the ability to tweak them come along with the modularity?
      • Personally, I'd like to be able to dismantle a Zaw to get the pieces back... at a modest price, of course

I like having modular weapons in the game and the weapons themselves are fine, but it's hard to get into actually making them with the way it's currently done.

Then ammo plates or ammo mutation mods whould go to waste, some stuff can't be just ignored, like some i get the feelign at times want to, skipping game mechanics or exisitign things.

Run out of ammo and the right one not drops? Place a plate down.

I don't think so. What I'm trying to get at is it could be like this:
-Extra ammo types for unequipped weapons are not dropped or there is a generic primary ammo type.
-Ammo drops are adjusted to give the same amount of ammo that there has always been.
-Ammo mutation mods cause more ammo to drop.

To make ammo restoration a thing, and force a choice between more damage or more sustainability when modding? Some guns run out of ammo EXTREMELY fast. You may choose to stick with it or go for ammo mutation. Or bring pizzas.

To that point, just change it so that ammo mutation mods cause more generic ammo pickups to drop. This is already what they functionally do.

  5. This has been something that has confused me for a while: Why are there even separate ammo drops for different primary weapon types?

In any other game, multiple types of ammo exist for one reason: To make the player swap between different weapons in the middle of gameplay, instead of sticking to one weapon and nothing else. I mean, just look at some other games that use ammo pickups/items such as Doom or Fallout games and you'll see that this is the case.

In Warframe, however, this doesn't apply outside of having a single secondary weapon to switch to. All of the other ammo pickups for weapons that you don't have equipped just become needless clutter that only has the purpose of supplementing a single Warframe ability(Mirage's Sleight of Hand). And there are ammo mutation mods, but all that functionally does is nullify the difference between ammo types and basically just translates into more ammo drops.

So what's even the point of having four types of ammo drops when you can't ever equip more than two weapons that require ammo?

  6. So, before this update, I was satisfied with the hair color I had for my Tenno. The main color was a light purple and the highlight color was white, which made the hair primarily white with some subtle purple. But when I logged in, my Tenno's hair was straight-up purple.

That's fine and and all, I can accept that change upsetting my previous configuration's looks, as I could just fix that myself. However, I can no longer have a good white for my Tenno's hair. The problem lies in that the lighting on Tenno hair is completely inconsistent and can even give some results that I just don't find appealing at times.

The following screenshots were all taken with the same hair color(being white with light purple highlights):

I don't get why it is dirty blond here.

This is closest to what I want to be consistent.

This is is pretty drastic color change from lighting.

  7. I'd like for this game to arrive on Linux, and it seems like it wouldn't be impossible for DE to do(as they've already ported to consoles, even the PS4 which doesn't utilize DirectX), but what matter is if they have the motivation to do so.

Also if it's to much work for DE, they could give it to Feral or Aspry. I don't mean to port the entire game and every update, but the Engine.

Like said, when the Engine is ported most of the work is done. So Feral / Aspry could port the Engine to Linux / Mac and the DE Waframe Devs are "just" tweaking the Windows Content to Linux / Mac.

Well, the problem with that is that those third-party porters would have to be at least partially responsible for delivering the patches, which would add more potential problems. I mean, look at the lists of games ported by Feral and Aspyr and take note of how many games that they've ported which receive constant updates.

Some complexity would be removed if DE decided to use Vulkan, but it seems that they're set on using DX12 in the future.

  8. Is the Metroid Prime trilogy a source of inspiration for Warframe? I can't help but to notice similar themes between the two.

If Vulkan proves to be a viable alternative to DirectX, do you think there would be a chance of a switch to the Vulkan API?

Any news on the alternate method of receiving sortie rewards through a points system that you mentioned a while ago?

  9. Any plans to allow players to obtain inventory slots without platinum? Obviously not a very easy way, perhaps from sorties or Baro?

If Vulkan proves to be a good alternative to DirectX, would you consider using that?

Do you think Warframe will ever have Linux/Mac versions?
I don't expect anything like that anytime soon, but it's something I would like to see in the future.

  10. Can we expect a way to obtain inventory slots in some way other than spending platinum in the future? Perhaps from Baro Ki'teer or sorties?

When will we be seeing that new sortie rewards system you mentioned a little while ago? Any new information on that?

Along with the deluxe skin, will you be reworking Oberon at some point? He really needs it more than most warframes.

  11. What are some of the biggest inspirations for Warframe? I'd imagine that the Metroid Prime trilogy is one of them, since there are plenty of similar themes and such.

Would you consider some way(obviously not an easy way) to obtain inventory slots without platinum?

  12. I'm mainly a KB+M user with this game, it's what I'm used to for it and it works well. Although I want to use a controller with the game from time to time, there's only one thing stopping me: sprinting controls.

For controllers, there are two to three methods for sprinting(depending on the controller):

-Toggle sprint. This is okay for those who like it, but not everyone wants to keep track of their sprinting state, especially in a fast-paced game.

-Hold to sprint. This method just doesn't work well for controllers at all. Having to press down the analog stick the whole time while using the the stick to run proves to be uncomfortable and unreliable.

-Outer-ring sprinting. This is exclusive to the Steam Controller where the outer radius of the stick activates sprinting. Another "okay" method in concept, but ultimately has issues with Warframe specifically due to how sprinting states work in the game and how sprinting interrupts aiming with the left trigger.

None of these methods work very well with Warframe. Really, this game should use the same method for sprinting that so many TPS/FPS games have been sticking to for years: Sprinting should be activated by clicking the analog stick once and deactivated once the analog stick is closer to being centered.

  13. Now, this is one of the issues I keep seeing pop up every now and then: Because full XInput controller support and button prompts can not be accessed by starting the game normally, there are those who are met with confusion with how to have full controller support and those who think it simply doesn't exist.

The game has two control modes: A KB+M mode, which is accessed by booting the game normally, and a controller mode, which is only accessed by booting the game through Steam's Big Picture Mode.

This, I believe, should not be the way that the game should handle controller support. Unfortunately, once you are in one control mode, functionality for the other control method has some issues(such as the foundry and Corpus hacking not being functional with the opposite control method), and you also have to completely restart the game in order to switch to the other control method. Instead, the game should do what almost every other game does, where functionality is not stunted based on how the game is booted and button prompts change automatically based upon which input is used.

Now, I do heavily prefer KB+M input for this game and I've barely touched the rest of my controllers since I received the Steam Controller(which has better support here), but I think that things need to change for XInput support, mainly since new users won't know how to have full controller support if they don't search through forums or PCGamingWiki, and non-Steam users can't have full controller support whatsoever.

  14. Will we see any improvement to stealth mechanics? I want to enjoy stealth but the game is missing some staples of stealth mechanics for it to really work that well, currently.

Any plans to rework(or even completely remove) the deception mission type? As it stands, it's pretty boring.

ETA on new starchart and repeatable quests?

  15. When will we see improvements to stealth? I'm hoping that, sometime in the future, we will have some way of hiding from enemies to wait for a detection phase to pass, which is a staple of stealth mechanics that's really missing here.

Do you think you will remove or overhaul deception missions? They're the most boring mission type in the game.

Also, despite supposedly changing the way that the waypoint works in exterminate missions to fix backtracking, I'm still finding myself backtracking just as much as before. The spawning system is at fault here more than anything.

  16. This is needed. As it stands, there's no reason to do this over the old trading method. Players need to be able to act as a vendor if that relay is to see any use. Seriously, I just went there and only saw four people. Seems like it's already unpopular.

I hope this is just an incomplete feature...

Eventually people WILL be standing about selling stuff all day instead of playing the game. Which is what some people want.

You seem to assuming that those same people don't already sit around in the trade chat all day instead of playing the game.

  17. I've had this issue for a while and it's pretty annoying.

Commonly, when I'm underwater in the Uranus tileset, I'll experinces bouts of extemely low framerates and momentary freezes, and I've even had the game crash on me once or twice while this has happened. Even when not crashing, this makes these parts almost unplayable.

Oddly, however, the game will perform just fine if I pause(in singleplayer matchmaking) while underwater or if I'm not underwater while in the tileset. Regular archwing missions perform perfectly fine as well.

Although common for me, it doesn't happen all of the time, but I noticed that it did consistantly happen in a certain room in The Second Dream quest where you had to search for a certain quest-specific object that you didn't know the exact location of.
