  1. I vote for merge, and a new stance + stats review either way.
This would mean more options in the category of "single handed swords".

And not related only to machetes, make we not locked when swinging, and remove targets limit. It's 2017 DE, this is silly, and can be argued, just strenghtens Maiming Strike usage(why combo when you can slide for 4 times the damage, at minimum?)

Nobody but DE knows the ultimate purpose or lore behind the cyst, so making conjectures like "it should never have been contagious" is quite presumptuous.

It just baffles me that people are more concerned with fashion and screaming "fix this" rather than finding out the story behind it.

As someone who is deeply annoyed at the cyst and the charger having a placeholder model, I can't disagree with the first point.

And still, I would have very much preferred if they would wait until both the quest and related systems, and chargers, were more fleshed out before release.
For now there's no "finding out", and until then, all my infected frames have a disgusting thing in my face.
A simple mea-culpa and a script to disable cysts and cyst transmission (so it can be re-obtained from Helminth), done. Short term problems from this are solved.

  2. First of all, many thanks for this and the continued effort!
Blank weapons helps a lot with testing ^^
But the 2 lowest values are going over the window, small visual thing.

    Update 19.4.2

gave buffs to Sicarus Prime and Glaive Prime, the builder hasn't been updated on those.
And seems like no RIvens for secondaries or shotguns either.

  3. I certainly would prefer more fixed stats, Rivens as stronger augments for weapons.
At the very least 1-2 stats as fixed, tailored to ACTUALLY help the weapon.

Crit chance won't get the Daikyu to 100%(so no rng on a slow bow) until you get around 666% crit chance.
Instead a Daikyu Riven could come with flat crit chance(the boring easy solution), or augmented damage on weakspot hit(All snipers need this btw!), and a faster draw(not one to make it a Rakta Cernos, keep it comfortably heavy, and rewarding for it).

A Burston could get increasing stats on one burst, similar to it's Conclave augment.

Impact weapons could get a Shattering Impact effect, reduce armor(maybe based on impact damage portion?).
So they could get a fighting chance against armor, maybe end effective at high level with the effect + corrosive procs.

    And so on.

  4. Since WW hotfix I can't update.
Launcher opens, downloads 300kb~, close, downloads 200kb~, close, Loops again.

I'd try cleaning the cache but it is too fast to even click somenthing.

  5. I can agree that a bad host can mess things, but all other points fall short imo. Either too situational or frankly salt on your part.
Without some better matchmaking and population(and even then), team games can't be believed on to be balanced. But to go "I don't have to deal with this crap!" is un-sportmaship behavior to put lowly.
And so you don't care about kda... but you feel bad ab- what? Keep on idgaf-ing, why would you go out of your way to prove yourself to people on the internet? Do the mature thing: mute 'em, kill 'em, and follow your way.

  6. I like current snipers.*
Besides the points above, Daikyu's idea(and point of arguments) is how hard it is to hit. Why would a weapon that is even easier to use have better damage?

*Still, for pve or pvp, get rid of aim shake and give us more zoom option(if pve only for balance, all right).

This very much depends on the weapon's initial stats:

    • If a weapon has at least 25% base crit chance, then an r5 Point Strike (+150%), an r5 Argon Scope (while aiming: +135% on headshot, 9 seconds per headshot; refreshes), and an r2 Critical Delay (+16%), will allow the user to -- with headshots, of course -- almost INDEFINITELY maintain a 100% crit-rate, with the very rare redcrit.
      • (The actual math would be [0.25 * (1.00 + 1.50 + 1.35 + 0.16)] = [0.25 * 4.01] = 1.0025 = 100.25% crit chance)
      • Obviously, this becomes more valuable as the base Critical Multiplier increases.
    • If a weapon has at least 35% base crit chance, then an r5 Point Strike (+150%) and an r4 Critical Delay (+40%) will give you a 101.5% crit chance, regardless of where you aim.
      • For the record, this is the build I use on my tonkor. Because if I'm going to AoE a group of enemies, I might as well ubermelt them while I'm at it. Sure, it won't go 'as far' as the megadamage build, but it's way more reliable damage.

And yet I was talking about the Latron. 15% chance.
I want an option to not lose so much dps for getting a more comfortable handling, and this mod isn't what I wanted.

  8. To Lyra:

I don't the thread is being pretentious/'inventing' stuff, it's not an order, but an wish on what could be a cool upgrade the combat system.
You say you don't find combos limiting, yet says most don't finish combos.... because they keep you locked.

I imagine a combat so we get 2 buttons, 2 attacks. Combos would still be kept for some combinations, but the 2 attacks could be aimed.
You keep your combos, but could also aim for more precise cutting. Also give more freedom to bullet jump into attacks, less animation locks to move and attack around.

Eh I don't think this is a good idea, but if it is sold for plat on the market sure why not. The point of plat is to speed up your progression and access to the game. Here's the thing though, if he wanted these mods he could hit up tradechat and buy all of them from players for about 10 plat probably. I do not see a reason for this bundle since mods are trade-able. I saw someone buying a serration in trade chat yesterday and just gave it to him for an ammo drum. Yeah maybe someone else would have sold it to him for plat, but whatever. If your friend is willing to pay plat for these starter mods, he should just go to trade chat. I have dupes of these and sell them all the time for 3 plat or trade them for other useless mods. What low mr player doesn't have a spare seismic palm hehe.

Ok, 10 plat for serration, fire, toxin, cold, shock, now for secondary, now for melee, now vitali-

A small fortune, and starter plat isn't tradeable, AND you need to grind traces to make dragon keys(how I'd recommend to get early plat).
But this is all not looking at another point: trade chat is 'unnatural'. No explanation, and is a waste of time for anyone.

Just, no, it's all too bad for a newcomer.
What should be in place must not be this confusing, remember, the early game kills interest too easily.

  10. ^And to an detail to the above, they didn't develop UT if I'm not mistaken, Epic Games did, and they were contracted to help.
So, I don't think "how did they make THAT and now make THIS?!" is fair.

My hopes on balancing are just that they change some overall mechanics of the game. ('just' haha)
Melee 3.0 would help both pve and pvp, undo the snipers rework/re-do it(aim shake is silly, zoom is too high on lowest setting), better holster speed.

you enjoy conclave, and you would enjoy taking plat from people who don't do it.
    We get it.
    But that ain't gonna happen.

Even minor augument for unpopular weapon being usable in pve caused massive backlash. Well, mby not massive, but it definitely was noticable.
If any meaningfull auguments obtainable only via conclave would be usable in pve, that would be hell on earth.

There is much enough conclave-exclusive cosmetics to rub your superiority in everyones face, there is no need to rob them blind for not willing to do pvp content to progress in pve part of pve oriented game.

    "Superiority"
    "Rubbing"

Oh hell, enough of you people. Why is it so hard to stay put and mind one's own business? What is up with "but they would capitalize on it"?
It would be a commodity just like any other syndicate item, which people still trade without making threads on the evil pains of getting it(and the price just isn't worth selling even!)
No one gets hurt by exclusive skins, it's a freaking cosmetic to show off you did got that far, how the hell people get hurt by this?

To the actual thread, they might not be balanced, but maybe different triggers/modifiers could be used to scale damage/duration.
And yup Rumbled would be DAMM NICE.

  12. (I'd be disapointed(but not surprised) if this derailed in flaming as in another hread, but seems like it's going well.)
I have no experience with Destiny, trying to watch some stuff to get a feel... But so far I'm not liking it much.

It has what arena shooters fans might call 'consolization', which for how much they can be elistists, I feel similar on some points.
I don't like the 'tactical movementation', I don't like stopping to aim(WF itself has some of it, and WORSE, stupid aim shake on snipers).

I guess a mode for who doesn't want the silly movement of current conclave would be indeed great, give people options.
Just please, don't take out the mobility from we who enjoy it.

Also, on pve progress vs pvp performance:
I'm against pve mods in a competition, sorry, but it means one without means to max his mods is at a disvantage.... ridiculous. If this is a competition, things should be balanced the better as possible(absolute balance is a dream).
And on that, current conclave has too many obligatory mods(need to drop a certain mod for a certain weapon to be at it's peak, need a mod to be less vulnerable to CC, need a mod for non-derpy switch times...).

AND there's the trouble of gear avaible to a beginner, but while not fully balanced that doesn't seem like a terrible way of progression: choosing your gun. I've built some weapons wih conclave in mind before, trying to find a feel instead of dps.

I like this, and maybe creating a mk-1 version of some other weapon archetypes could both ease progress balance in conclave, and give new players a taste of other guns. And MR to who likes that I guess.

(a bit derailed I guess, but I believe it fits on the topic of 'how we can compare progress to similar games)

Hysterical Assault is essentially Ash's teleport bound to alt fire. While I agree that melee needs a greater degree of movement, I think implementing this on all weapons would make teleport essentially useless.

Indeed, and with an overall better melee system. No useless animation locks, no one button spam, easier to attack from bullet jumps/slides and such...
