  1. Not to agree that Draco or lvlup squads are a problem. If you really are looking for a solution to your issues. Then Forma is the root to your problems.

No one that I know enjoys doing 3-5 forma's on their weapons and frames. It adds more repetition to an already repetitious game. Make the game more about the hunt. Hunting for a Forma drop that instantly allows adding or changing polarity without penalty. Obviously, drops would be RNG dependent, however gone are the days where players have a surplus of Forma and doing level up runs. Now they must hunt for Forma scattered throughout missions.

  2. I don't know how it ruins the game...at all. I'm in Draco frequently for T4 keys in my slow nova. It's typically a versatile bunch with the occasional Mesa who doesn't have a Gmag to accompany her or vice-versa. However, if that combo does happen to show by chance, thank you and I look forward to getting my key faster (should they not back out to before round 4.)

I think there are bigger problems that should be focused on than players finding reasons to b_tch about things that don't really affect them. For instance, player retention and it has nothing to do with Draco. When I first started playing this game, I made a large amount of actively playing friends (near 100) from newbs like myself to MR18's who were on daily at any given time. My friends list is now a desolate area with maybe 3-10 active players at any given time, while many haven't logged on in weeks to months.

Blame that on Draco if you like, but I think you know better. As I said, there are other issues that need more attention.

  3. I agree. Although I have ran into more Dbags lately than when I've first started several months ago. Overall, the playerbase interaction has been pleasant.

In my opinion, it's because there is very little emphasis on stats. To be more specific, statistical history (not mission reports) by DE and the community as a whole. However, if the trend were to change and K/D, completion time, or mission failed or whatever deemed relevant to base an individual's skill became relevant, thr cominity would have as much toxicity as any competitive game out there. Therefore, this game is as casual as they come in my opinion.

  4. So was there mention of being able to escalate up a wall diagonally? That is something I would really want to see if indeed the new parkour deals with momentum. Currently, the height of the wall run is determined by how high you can begin the wall run. Being able to start off with an inclined/declined run, and then leveling off to a desired position before relying on objects to grasp to change the horizontal level is very much a want.

  5. But I hear Draco, Ceres is the amazing new spot. Everyone just seems to be asking for it. Everyone can't get enough of it. Why not just make Draco. Everyone seems to want to go there. People are always asking to go to Draco and take Mesa, Greedy Mag, Nekros and Frost.  It all makes sense now.

    Don't do or go...

...Beyond 20 minutes in Survival. You're wasting your time.

...Beyond Wave 20 in Defense that's just ridiculous. You're wasting your time.

...Beyond 500 Cryotic in Extraction. It's just too difficult.

...What's this? You're going beyond one round in Interception! No don't do that.

Draco in randoms and Draco from recruiting are vastly different. While Draco is the farming spot for leveling and T4 key farming, in random pub Draco runs, you get what you get and I hardly see Mesa's or Gmags. I play a lot of Draco in my Nova, sometimes I need to wait a few moments at the elevator shaft for players to enter, but I don't see this claim of particular frames frequent to be there. However, most of the random groups rarely make it to that T4 key and there is usually one player that needs to be picked up frequently.
  6. I'm stuck on nova, no matter what; I keep going back to her. To me she's a very versatile frame with an ability to be drastically different from one configuration to the next. Her ultra doesn't help me, it helps the team no matter how I configure it. Inadequate guns become relevant when players enter using unranked weapons. If the difficulty is too high, I can slow it down. If it's too dull, I can help speed it up and liven it a bit. She's just so dang squishy.

  7. You don't need 300 nodes to find what you want. You need 20 nodes, tops.

5 different noobfriendly nodes, 5 midfriendly nodes, 5 hard nodes and 5 grind nodes. Add in random alerts for variety and mission crafting for that something special and you're good.

You don't also need another 280 empty nodes that don't actually even do anything different.

okay, I see. So the assumption is we'll still be able to play a specific mode, not just pick a node and 5 random modes with in that node will/could pop up? It's just random tile sets/maps. That I don't mind.
  8. Seems like all upside to me.

I'd rather take 20 interesting nodes over 300 boring ones.

I'd rather have crafting missions than cookie cutter void runs.

And also random missions like Payday vs the current alert system.

Let's face it, mission diversity is one of this games weak suites.

I like the new starchart, I don't need to try to be positive about it, I just straight up like it.

What I find vague and likely contributes to why I have a hard time finding positivity in something I'm only left to assume. Is that regardless of the amount of populated nodes we have and desolate nodes. Those populated nodes are likely to have players with the same intent in mind. Meaning I don't have to try to find players in recruiting or forumlate a squad within my often inactive clan. I can jump in and there are players who will at least do 20 waves or 20 minutes.

Sure there's always the chance some player is there to just get the node completed, but that's just the nature of random pub matches. However, I can just restart that node, no biggie. But with the upcoming change, this guy who wants to activate every life support drop while at 95% and wants to quit at the 5 min mark becomes a big deal. It's not like I can restart the node for that mission mode. Therefore, as a solo player that doesn't mind playing with random players, this doesn't seem like a good thing.

Again, I'm not sure if some of the same game modes will exist in the new star chart, all I can use is what is already here to base what it might be like in the near future.

So if DE's intent is to prioritize friend finding and committed squads, I guess this is the way to do it.

I'm not negative about it the upcoming change, just indifferent.

  9. What is your farming method?

Speed Nova on Sechura/Pluto or Seimeni/Ceres (little slower.) Complete one round, rinse repeat. With credit booster, it's 49-52k per run. With a decent squad whether purposeful or without intent. It can be that amount every 3-4 min.
  10. I've been side tracked with credit farming and I don't know why for sure. I would hardly call it fun, although I do find it entertaining when a perfect group has formed by chance on seimeni or sechura. While I still have much to complete before I can officially claim to have nothing to do. I feel I'm stuck between no incentive to get it done and wanting to play, so I credit grind. Cause, how can earning more credits ever be bad?

  11. The problem with this game is not players becoming bored or isolating it down to one frame that supposedly lends to it. It's players who feel compelled to tell others how to play or how the game should be played. Really, it makes no sense how one could create a topic that claims a particular frame and its ability needs to go.

So what if groups seek a Gmag for their party? That's one slot out of four. So what if particular squads are sought after? It has nothing to do with how you choose to form or conduct your own squad. How exactly does this hamper YOUR experience?

  12. I once saw a golden fusion core drop from a manic when I killed him long range. I thought today was my day, I would finally get four riders.

Nope, it was a r5 gold core.

Thanks for being the biggest troll RNG.

Same, although I did get a North Wind one other time. But I've only experienced two drops out of countless amount of engagements. However, to be fair it could have been more than two. He has a tendency to appear while I'm engaged with other enemies and I may have given credit to another enemy when it was he who dropped something. However, it wasn't 4 riders, that's for sure.
  13. It seems that you're not challenged enough. In my opinion, DE lacks in the competive area. They should be targeting their competitive players to keep entertained and populated. They could make changes to enemies and spawn points and what ever else needs be to keep things fresh. However, the answer is far more simple, as what is more competitive and challenging than competing against other players/squads/clans for titles and/or rewards. I'm not talking about conclave either.

They could simply not change a thing, but put more positive focus on leaderboards and achievement rewards for ranking in the top 100 for a duration and I'm sure many who are bored will be newly intrigued. As you've said, things seem repetitious and boring because your doing it the most efficient way. However, there are players and groups out there doing it better than you.

This is just my opinion and I do realize promoting a more competitive enviornment would surely rid Warframe of any kumbaya type environment. However, I believe DE hasn't truely explored this area like they should have.

  14. Been playing two months. I do several runs per day against Vay Hek after doing +30 consecutive runs and still no hydroid systems. I've stopped counting at + 56 chassis and +41 helms. It's become a daily routine to play 3-5 Vay Hek runs, I'm not sure what I'll do after I get it. But I'm going to have a bundle of credits when I finally sell everything!

If I were you, I'd move on to another boss and try your luck there.

  15. Hey guys, let's play defense!

Well, what build should we have and squad set up?

    *deafening silence*

    Well?

*the ambient sounds of crickets grow increasing loud*

This change seems to favor independent playing a lot. While I do a lot of solo playing, when I do play in groups we have a plan of excecution. Just seems to me that the ability to even do practice runs with groups and/or test builds will be hindered. Whether that's a good thing is yet to be determined. But I guess it's one way of promoting good overall builds rather than focusing on abilities that synergize with other frames.

  16. Yes to primaries and secondaries. However, melee weapons that don't appeal to me, I equip them and forget about them till they're lvl 30. However, the same can be said to secondaries on occasion. The only real time I use them is when I'm bleeding out or doing mobile defense which I try to stay away from while using inadequate secondaries. But I will Draco the crap out of equip after the original lvl 30.

One of the reasons I have so many unfinished primaries or lvl 0's. Don't like being a detriment to any team I'm on.

  17. They should allow a choice between the gender type of the frame as it's only logical. It gives more appeal to the idea of the frame simply being a suit to the tenno wearing it. A knights armor does not reshape to its wearer, it is crafted to fit. Since we are constructing the suit in our foundry, it should be crafted to fit the wearers gender preference.

  18. Not really sure of the change to have any sort of positive outlook. All I have is a basic assumption based on what has been stated, which ultimately means (to me) is things will be really random and the drop pool has increased exponentially just by reducing zone where they are likely to be. Player choice in terms of how they choose to spend it (i.e., credit grind that specific node like Sechura, etc.) will be gone. This is just an assumption, but I rather like being able to go to a specific area and hunt for things I know is there and likely to drop rather than rarely.

  19. Eye color, apparently this matters to collectors or breeders. Two inquires of a current kubrow I've been trying to sell came to a halt when it was revealed that the eye color was not unique enough.

That's right, eye color...a trait I am not sure passes over. Nevertheless....trivial.
