Yeah a burglar broke into my parents house once. He was scared off by the alarm system....but it wasn't "that's that" there were lasting emotional scars. This is no different. I was accused tried and found guilty, instantly by a faulty system.

 

I am not happy about this despite getting my account back. Hell they didn't even apologize for the mistake! Thye tried to pin it on ME!

I found their response pretty condescending considering it was their fault, I imagine though that the response is canned spammed in all ban tickets, and if i was cheating in some form, then yes I would be grateful to have it back and leave it at that, but when you know you haven't done anything wrong, used no additional software for the game and you get banned followed up with a condescending response after you know you've spent a good chunk of change into the game; there is no way that is acceptable response to you.

if i get banned by a robot, i'll talk to Support, and they'll clear it up. and that will be that.

That's fine, your not concerned, same way I was just before this, and if they decide not to give your account back it sounds like you wouldn't care either. I don't know what you have invested in your account but for me it's a lot, and this has been poor support in the process.

Just to clarify which I thought the OP did well enough, I created this thread for awareness of the situation, as I was recently one of those people that thought it would never happen or was an issue, but it is. This is more about the problem with the auto ban system, the very slow support responding to your ticket for a auto ban, regardless if you have spent money on this game or not.

 

My ticket has been answered and it is what I say in the OP as suspicions, that it was AHK that was running the auto fire script posted above. I've had this script for over 2 years which has never given me an issue in Mass Effect support which they do ban waves as well.

 

Currently I don't feel to good or happy about the whole incident nor how support has thus far handled it. They have unbanned my account but I'm still following up with them. I get that there is cheaters out there, and probably more of them than not in regards to ban tickets, but it definitely has left a bad taste in my mouth.

 

Is there clear evidence that they are banning people for it? All I see is one person saying that is the reason. I doubt he has communication from DE saying AHK is the reason.

I do now have confirmation that it is as I said it was, AHK autofire script, and they have undone the ban. For a script (posted already) that was a simple autofire script that again, was never used for this game as is, is what flagged the anti-cheat software which is suppose to be allowed anyway.

 

i have Macro's, and i use them. some Abilities that are annoying to cast (*cough* pixel sniping / ridiculous amounts of spam), Weapons that require inordinate amounts of Clicking, Melee which requires an inordinate amount of button mashing, Et Cetera - i know i'm okay here, i don't feel like i have any reason to hide, because i know i'm not doing anything wrong.

i have no intentions of receiving a repetition injury because of Warframe. so i won't let it happen. i'm still playing the game, i avoid using them if i don't need to, but sometimes you need to do things in a fashion that is very repetitive, so therefore i use Macro's sometimes.
i have nothing to fear, so i don't fear a 'nothing'.

I get that you may not believe I'm being honest, which all I can say is I have been, and I've never used macro's in Warframe or any other assistance software. On top the script which I did have running in the background was never used for this game. But yet I got flagged for auto ban simply by having that scipt there, regarless of using it or not, which means those macro's your using 'could' end up flagging you.

 

personally it should have just been locked like other threads about people who claimed they were banned without cause. Mod must feel the fact that this topic tells people to avoid using other programs is helpful.

In the end the TC is just complaining to anyone who will listen that he was banned. Complaining about a ban will not achieve any results when posted on the forum. Proper method to handle it is a support ticket. This TC is just longer winded to get people on his side.

You have issue with the slowness of the support process, do you know how the support process? Do you think DE purposefully drag their feet, I think not.

I created this thread to voice concerns over a system that didn't seem to be working correctly, and about support that was very slow to react to that. Should issues of unfair behavior not be voiced? And I'm not regarding myself in this, hence why I purposely put my personal experience at the bottom of the OP, to give some validity of what I am speaking of. Without it I would have a lot less to base this topic on.

 

And no, I'm not asking anyone in this community to help me get out of jail, or moderators to see this and get me assistance. You misunderstand the purpose of that info nor see that I'm not asking for vindication from the community.

 

Overall, support has been very slow at 8.5 days to resolve this, and at that it was a terrible experience overall. I am still providing feedback on this issue to them though. So dragging their feet on purpose, No; but slow and bad support, Yes.

 

I don't know if complaining about autobahn is correct. I've never known anyone who's gotten banned. To me it seems limited enough that its not a bad system. Maybe not perfect, but not this disaster its made out to be.

Well it was a disaster for me, I'm seeing some in this thread and the other PSA threads where this is true as well, and considering your forum account is banned as well there won't be very many people that will go through the hassle to post. Lastly unless DE posts any kind of info or statistics on this there is no real way for the community to know. There's no way for the community to feasibly know without some kind of awareness being brought up.

neither actions have any business here. Digital Extremes will see what's going on. if many users are being autobanned and Support clears them up as innocent, Digital Extremes will see that this is happening.

Discussions about this are fairly pointless because of this. until there's enough information for Digital Extremes to determine the truth behind it (Support clearing up innocents), no Discussion will accomplish anything. Digital Extremes isn't going to make decisions about this based on anecdotal evidence. discussions would only have Digital Extremes look at Support more closely, seeing how many people are being incorrectly autobanned.

The main point of most game forums isn't to get the developers to fix everything. It's discussion about the game by people that can't make any decisions for the game.

 

Your point comes across as you don't see any value or merit to discussing anything on the forums because it's all in DE's hands. If that's how you feel then why are you even on the forums?

 

This thread isn't about fixing my ticket nor asking for help with it, it's about the awareness of auto bans, what causes them, and what the community would like as a resolution if they were in that spot?

 

If the software is causing undue bans, than should it not be brought up for more discussion? Because what is there currently is not very clear at all for many. Than there is other macro software like that of Razer / Logitech / ext, that have built in Macro's that you can do the same thing that would get you banned with AHK, why are they treated any different?

Terms say that any disallowed programs running, even if not being actively used constitutes a ban.

I'm not seeing that in the Eula.

 

The part that is close to it is

which requires your third party software that is running to in some way affect the games files or communications. Macro software like AHK as far as I can tell doesn't touch, modify or even look at anything the game is running on your system.

 

But again, running AHK is suppose to be allowed anyway, and shouldn't flag it, but it has.

The only true way for DE to refine their auto-ban script is to be given examples of exceptions, false bans. This would be done through a Support ticket.

On one end, a warning would help people not becoming banned. On the other, a legitimate and allowed program would remain a means of banishment for an indefinite amount of time.

And I would actually agree that the ban be fine as long as it was reviewed quickly and resolved. Like two days tops. If the auto ban is hitting so many people that it's creating a backlog that they can't feasibly get to in a short period, then it's probably being to aggressive in what it's hitting.. But there is a way to warn through forums before they implement it, and give their stance on things they are about to implement. In regards to this, they had said that macro's are ok, but instead of giving us a heads up first that they no longer approve of it then implementing it, they went straight to implementing it.

 

DERebecca's profile even says not to request help with auto bans, which to me suggests there is a larger amount of people being affected by this then we know, feeling she is probably getting too many pm's regarding this.

 

But in my regard it wouldn't have mattered because I have never used macro's in Warframe, nor would I look for any info on it and unless they posted it on General or Players helping Players I would never have seen it. But it looks like there is many here that do check on such things.

In regards to your comment, does the Eula say anything about other programs running on your computer are breaking terms, or only software modifying your game files and their commincation? Which in this is not the case.

Also you kinda shot yourself in the foot with this post, in 2 ways.  You have basically circumvented a ban which is a bannable offence, and admitted to it.  You also made a 2nd account which is also bannable.

As my OP mentions, I have spent a few hundred dollars on this game.

 

If my first account is no longer active or usable, is this still a violation?

 

I'm not trying to circumvent anything, I still have lost everything associated with that account currently. So unless I missed something (which I could have), I only have this account currently.

Dor the one person in the psa thread who complained about being banned and posted the macro in use (supposedly a simple autofie script), it turned out it also had a part of the macro script devoted to autoclicking the 'leave' and 'stay' buttons for defense missions.

 

now, this sounds innocent enough, but it likely tripped DE's detection system because it instantaneously teleports the mouse cursor and clicks without the human moving the mouse.

 

ironically, that person could have simply pressed the right and left arrow keys to autopress those buttons instead of writing a suspicious looking macro...

Part of the reason I suspect we aren't seeing much evidence of it is because your forum account is banned as well, and many people just don't want to go through the headache of creating a new account and running enough missions just to be able to post.

 

 

 

Send a support ticket, tell them your situation. And then hope for the best. We can't help you here. For auto hotkey, DE stated that they will only ban certain kind of Marcos so really communicate with DE to see whether you break the rule or not.

I have filed a support ticket which is now days days old and awaiting response.

 

But, I didn't create this thread asking for the community's help to get this resolved. I figured if this has happened to me, and I don't use hacks or cheats, and the only reason I have AHK is because years ago it was posted on Mass Effect forums which I play a lot, even still today, but to bring more awareness to everyone else that it is a possible issue. As well, just about every post touching on it seems to think support will resolve such a serious issue right away, but my 7 day ticket most definitely shows me that isn't the case.

 

I seriously doubt that their anti cheat software accesses your macro to check for certain functions, but I could be wrong as I don't really know much on how that works.

 

I was inquiring to how the community would react to this, and what specifically would they want as a resolution to this.

You obviously did not read the OP as that is nothing I am suggesting. There is no rage here, I asked for suggestions to what the community thought of the currenty auto ban functions, and if they were banned based on OP example then what would be a good resolution to them.

My ticket is 6 days old, and support doesn't open again till Monday making it the 9th day. Those tickets are filed in a specific category, so you would think they should be high priority to resolve....

I'm not saying everyone running it will feel the heat of the ban hammer, but if your brave enough to try, run Warframe and start a mission, then start your Auto Hotkey program. From the PSA announcement thread, this looks like it might be a trigger to the software, regardless of what your script is for.

But I am proof of this, and I have never used macro's for Warframe ever. I do have AHK installed on my system though, as I do have only an auto-fire script for Mass Effect. I am sure it could easily be adjusted to Warrame, but I never have. There is no other software on my system that I'm aware of could be used for cheating. And I'm the only one that uses this computer.

 

Their PSA announcement as well shows I'm not the only one going through this.

Hey everyone,

 

I want to discuss their current auto ban system and how it has been banning fair users, as well as what you would expect for a satisfactory resolution to it. So please, keep it civil and try to offer serious responses as I'm not looking to make a hate thread or anything like that, as I still believe in DE and it's Devs, just this auto ban system and the person who made the decision to use it should both have their decision making rights in this game revoked.

 

So currently if you have certain programs running in the background, as in your not actively using them such as AHK (Auto Hotkey) you can get flagged and banned. They have made an announcement about automated assistance such as AHK but not limited to it, that could cause you to get a auto ban. The announcement is very vague and considering it's about banning you would think it should be very clear which it is not.

 

So any macro software you have such as Razer / Logitech mice/keyboards that is part of their driver software could get you auto-banned. Auto fire macro's are suppose to be allowed, but it hasn't stopped their software from Auto Banning users for using it. Even further after researching more into this, DE actually was fine with macro's prior, and then they changed their mind and instead of making announcements about it first to give some awareness to such changes, they instead put auto banning software to just ban everyone and their dog who were using it.

 

What ever happened to warnings?

Does this sort of thing not warrant a warning system to say hey, we don't support it, stop using it or next time ban hammer.

 

So let me ask this hypothetical, if you were auto banned and your support ticket would not be addressed for at least 9 days, meaning you are missing out on a double xp weekend, the Void Trader (say you have none of what he has brought), you have 90 day affinity / credit booster ticking away, your daily crafting of Forma / Weapons / Alerts and lastly you have currently at this point spend a few hundred dollars on the game....

 

How would you respond / react to this?

What would be a satisfactory resolution to this for you be?

 

 

 

 

This exact thing has happened to me, and it's hard to understand how I could get banned until 2035 for playing the game as I always have, which is without macros or anything to assist me. I absolutely love this game, and yet it still blows my mind that it's been 7 days my support ticket has been unanswered, and considering support doesn't work on weekends it will be minimum 9 days on Monday. I have AHK which I have only ever used for Mass Effect, and the only way I ever learned about the auto fire macro was because they posted it on the official forums there for AHK. It can still be found there. Because using certain semi auto guns there kills my finger, my expensive mouse and as an office worker I've already got carpal tunnel.

 

I was thinking no way I could really be banned, as I've never been banned in any game before and now I do feel like that dirty cheater that I always turned my nose up towards. But seriously, a system that just auto bans you and then your literally locked out of the game and prevented from furthering any of your time-walls unfairly.

Try to get Hikou Prime and build it for status element damage. If you want pure dps then your better off going with Despair whereas Hikou Prime can be build as a great status proc secondary.

 

Hikou Prime

Hornet Strike, Barrel Difusion, Lethal Torrent, Seeking, x4 Status Elemental mods arranged for corrosive / blast.

 

So this will let you cut through multiple mobs per star and the high status will make them proc a lot.

Depending how much longer and how they respond to my support ticket will either go that I'm satisfied with thier results or I'm completely done.

 

If done, then I would seek refund and verbally turn away anyone that would listen which would be a shame because overall I think DE and the devs are good guys overall, but someone made a major oversight in thinking this auto-ban was even a viable option in it's current form.

I still can't believe that after the amount of money I've invested in the game and I've always been playing it the way the dev's encourage minus some Draco farming (no macros) and this is what I or others like me get, is an auto ban which is now at 5 days, and this one is almost over for support hours which means Monday will be the earliest they can look at it putting my ticket at 9 days. 

 

I've never been banned before (for any game), so I might be over reacting but it just feels so dirty, and I can see trying to explain to Clan mates or anyone that I didn't cheat/hack/macro it, I can just tell they are looking at me like I'm lying. One person in clan even said that if I'm banned this long then it has to be because I'm guilty or they would have un-banned me already. Try explaining that they haven't even got to my ticket yet and they don't believe me.

Right, but if loot is being replaced much faster now, then leaving some of the orbs there for later use, they will be gone when you go back for them. Wouldn't that still cause the same problem?

Nice, glad someone mentioned this, I ll feel free and post here the collection of lore in chronological order I've managed to scrape from somewhere, there is a lot regarding to what Tenno really are.

 

Here we go:

 

 

-orokin are attacked by the sentients

-sentients use the orokins technology against them

-the more the orokin use technology, the greater their losses, the orokin are beginning to lose the war

-orokin being to looking at more simple technology

-orokin being to create bioweapons

-orokin expirements were done using technocyte virus, leading to infestation

-orokin send "rejected ships" into the void, the ones that didnt make it becoming the derelict ships

-orokin perform their biochemical weapons expirements in the void, to achieve different results

-zariman ship is reported to be lost in the void

-families of the crew are notified of the death of crew

-kaleen is a scientist working onboard the zariman

-kaleen finds the ship, perfectly fine

-kaleen finds nothing but children onboard the ship, presumably infested

-kaleen breaks the quarantine to comfort the child, is injured in the process

-orokin perform more expirements with the children from the zamiran, with much success

-orokin build the warframes around the children recovered from void

-the children, become the tenno

-the tenno win the war for the orokin

-the tenno soon betray the orokin

-the tenno enter cryosleep

-the solar systems falls into disarray

-the lotus wakes the tenno up without thier memories

-warframe's story begins

 

so, what does all of this mean really? what really happened? where is this all going?

so, the orokin losing the war with the sentients, and are getting more and more desparate. they eventually begin an attempt to develop super soldiers using the technocyte virus, similar to the legendary hayden tenno himself. kaleen and davis, orokin scientists being their experiments. they are a complete failure. the test subjects reject the virus, lose their sanity and become extremely violent. the orokin scientists continue to experiment with little result. desperate, davis decides to perform a secret expirement. he performs a secret experiment in the void using the zariman. kaleen, eventually finds this ship, somehow, perfectly functional. the crew were gone, replaced by something different. children, hiding in the ship. and these children have been infected. however, infested or not, but they are still children. terrified and alone. kaleen breaks the quarantine protocol and goes to save them. she pays the price, and is scarred forever. she is not deterred, she is not scared, she is furious. she confronts her superiors. "why were these children there? they are innocent! what are you going to do with them?! was this your plan all along?!" she cannot believe they would go so far as using children, (infested or not) on this wicked experiment and their attempt to cover it up. they deny everything, and the children are taken away. kaleen knows whats going to happen next. she watches as the kids are taken away, and forced to endure wicked expirements. the subjects from the zariman are experimented on. they are much different mentally, due to either there young age, their surivival of the void, or more than likely both. their behavior is much less violent, the new subjects are finally controllable, the project is a huge success. these new creatures are given a name, tenno, in honor of the one that came before them. they are given fashioned suits like his, both to focus their power, and hide thier hideous form. they are trained with simple and ancient weapons. they grow into magnificent warriors, and become legends of the battlefield. they defeat the sentients and win the war for the orokin.

 

kaleen has seen the truth. the orokin are monsters who will stop at nothing to achieve power and control, and have defeated their greatest threat. the balance of power has shifted, but peace has been restored. yet at what price? what place did the tenno have in a time of peace? they were considered monsters, and incapable of living normal lives. they have had their humanity taken from them, and all they know is violence, they cannot rest. kaleen makes a decision, maybe she has been planning it for a long time, but the time to act is drawing near. it is time for this to end. she has watched these children grow into magnificent warriors, she watched them work so hard, but for what? they will give them their reward. she reveals the truth. your masters are not who they seem, they cannot protect you. the tenno recongize kaleen, she has been there all along, she was the one who saved them, she is the only one who accepts them. she will protect them like their parent couldnt, the tenno recongize their mother. "you've worked so hard, you've endured so much, im so proud. its time for your final task tenno, kill the ones who took everything from you, and then you will finally be able to rest". the orokin celebration is short lived, and quickly turns into a funeral. everyone is shocked, the tenno are labeled betrayers. but to kaleen, this matters not, she knows the truth, and these are her children. with their final task done, she puts them into cryosleep, so they may finally rest. she allies with celephon ordis, and uses him to wipe the tenno's memories, and he wipes his as well. now she has one final task. there will be a time where the galaxy once again needs the tenno, these forgotton warriors. kaleen becomes the lotus, to be there to wake us, to guide and protect all our future tenno, and restore balance to the solar system once more.

 

 

-kaleen finds infested children on the zariman, is injured in the process

-children are taken away and their existence denied.

-children are experimented on, eventually having the first (prime) warframes build around them,

-children are trained in the art of blade and gun, becoming the tenno.

-the tenno win the war for the orokin

-kaleen convinces the tenno to kill the orokin, out of revenge

-kaleen puts the tenno into cryosleep

-kaleen uses ordis to wipe their memories, ordis proceeds to wipe his own

-kaleen becomes the lotus, to guide the tenno in the future

 

read the codex entries of ember, rhino prime, excalibur, and mag prime, in that order, then go back and listen or read all the dialogue from the quests, and it should suddenly make more sense. there is further evidence for this in the spoilers.

what makes the zariman children so special, is that they are the only known survivors of the void, the only ship ever to come back, since they were sent to the void as children, and probably already infested at that point, they probably never even learned to speak, nor were they influenced by the infested hivemind, they may have even forgot how to speak due to from the trauma, but it also explains why the tenno never speak. it is also possible that the tenno themselves where actually born in the void, but that idea is much less likely. the exact time kaleen becomes the lotus is unclear, but its more than likely that she began to wear her headgear to cover up her scars, and also why the lotus is referred to as "eyeless" since kaleen does infact lose an eye to the child that would become ember prime.

 

finally, the reason the tenno are called betrayers, is simply because most of the general orokin population were ignorant of the horrors the orokin had commited, especially the ones to the tenno. they still though of the orokin as benevolent leaders who and worshipped them. one of these fanatics would become the stalker. the ember codex entry proves that they knowingly covered up the information, and the use of neural sentries in the towers proves they also were capable of mind control, and more than likely used heavy brainwashing.

Even if it was the case that they couldn't reproduce, why would that stop the need or benefits of having relationships ext. Removing gender would also change how their society functions greatly from what it was. 

 

And as pointed out, they are trying to reverse the problem of the clone, which if they got rid of gender I would think is much more difficult if impossible to fix.

I completely disagree with saying frames are so unbalanced because they all don't fair equally in raid viability.

 

Not every frame should have a CC, as that feels like so many MMO character class designs where they have to have a movement power, a heal / survival power, damage power ext. They all follow a template which imo makes them terrible designs. 

 

I'm not saying some frame don't need some love, but I like them having weaknesses that you need others to fill in.

 

So in regards to the raid, it is the way it was designed that favors CC frames, and not because weak CC frames are poorly balanced. If they added in a little more need for killing / dps into each phase of the raid then you would probably see more viability for these frames.
