  1. No, no colour blindness or vision problems - I fixed the daytime in plains of eidolon by turning off a lot of the special light settings. As far as I know my monitor is fine. I can play other games where darkness is a thing like subnautica or doom (though I guess those games do have light tools that you use to deal with it). The game itself feels very inconsistent - while darkness is often an issue in warframe it's never as bad anywhere else as it is on earth at night. Turning off as many light related settings as I could find has helped but it doesn't solve night time. It's pitch black out in the plains of eidolon. By contrast - adjusting contrast (no pun intended) or brightness did not seem to do much, I can heighten what I can see but hurt my eyes with some nasty glare or lower what I can see and have no real effect.

Turning off things like the dynamic lighting was the biggest working stab at the problem - a theme shared with other games too.

I remember someone saying turning on adaptive lighting helped a lot, so I tried that, no joy.

It feels like going back to older games where dark areas tended to be eye searing by design. Remember when people would stick brightness way up in games like counter strike to have an edge at the cost of comfort? Reminds me of that. Darkening the room helps but it's still quite painful.

  2. What the topic says. There are many reasons I try to avoid plains of eioldon - crashing when leaving squad to finish a bounty without waiting for squad for example.

But night time is the big one. I cannot see a thing at night. It hurts my eyes badly. Turning off the volumetric lighting helped the day - the day used to sear my eyes as well, most of the damn ground was black.

But how are people playing at night? I just can't do it. It's awful. Is there some setting or night vision equipment?

As the devs do more to force me to go to the plains like putting the unvaults there, I know I can't avoid the plains forever. So some advice on how to actually go there at night without searing my poor eyes would be great.

  3. +1, Can login to forums/account but not game. Thought I had just forgotten my password until I reset it and then realized more people have this same problem. It's even a fresh install of Warframe.

  4. My only problem is why they have to put it on clan tech when its rather weak. Like Akzani, its weak, yes, but being market weapon its acceptable.

Except that the Akzani requires argon to build, so the newer players its most likely intended for have to drag themselves through the void to get one. It doesn't seem like many of them would bother. They'll likely have better items by then, even for T1.

Idk, there are certainly weapons that are simply not useful in almost all situations but the thing that really bothers me about the warframe weapon lineup is the amount of near identical weapons.

For example the new AkZani are nearly identical to the Afuris/Dexfuris. Why? Why do we need another set of dual machine pistols that are nearly identical to ones already available? Why not alter the stats to give it a different role? Why not a status based smg?

And that's not even touching the melee weapon pool that has tons of this sort of thing (why did you make the Jaw Sword slash based, DE? why??)

So yeah, imo, we don't need every weapon to rival the Boltor Prime or Brakk, but what we do need is fewer identical weapons.

Or at least weapons that are as good as them in different situations. Or even in multiple situations. So we can see a greater variety of weapons being used in high level areas.

  5. I enjoyed the change as well, but I would suggest changing the next given riddle to trigger once you acquire the blueprint. Story-wise, Ordis can simply detect an encoded riddle in the blueprint itself and report that to you, so you can build the parts of the warframe in tandem then the warframe per usual.

I agree with this. I enjoy that this warframe is obtainable via quest, it's more interesting than the usual boss fight repeat, but the wait time is pretty arbitrary, the multi day time for the actual product to get crafted is long enough, surely.

Still, if I have to pick between grinding and wait time. Wait time, for sure! Especially if the alternative is well...certain other parts of this update I'm avoiding too much comparison to so the thread stays on the topic of Hidden Messages.

Edit: Oh for god sake. You need argon to build it, which has of course, decayed in the 36 hour wait time. I changed my mind. I'd rather just grind a boss.

  6. With one enemy and one location. It makes perfect sense that grind wall and RNG = content. No. Really.

This. I was /more/ than okay with the Mirage quest requiring you to do some vault runs because I had yet to do any and ended up finding them quite interesting - and I get to try and find some of my wanted corrupted mods too. It added one more reason to do those vault runs that didn't particularly detract from them. But one tileset, low level enemies, one enemy and a container type 2-4 dens a pop, over and over is just...I'm not sure where other people got the willpower to be honest. I'm not willing to do this for a Kubrow egg itself let alone for mods.

  7. Another topic has started mentioning this too! It's only happened to me with Kogake so I'm not sure what the criteria for a weapon to cause it is yet. My frame leveling has not caused it. Which is potato'd but not forma'd. My primary and secondary, which are a soma and akstiletto, both forma'd and potato'd, do not cause a freeze when levelling.

So far it's just been my blank, new, no forma, no potato Kogake. Unless the criteria is just 'any melee weapon'. I dunno if those details will help them pin point it more.

  8. I get this with specific weapons - for example, levelling my Soma or Akstiletto - which have been forma'd, no freeze. If I level my Kogake, which is new, 5 second freeze. I'm not sure if there's a common criteria for which weapons cause these hangs.

  9. Funnily enough I was logging into the forums to see if anyone else had this weird issue. I got a new Kogake today, no catalyst, put brutal tide on it, from level ups 1-9 8 times out of 9 it has had a sort of 'hang' the game freezes for 5 seconds or so before continuing as normal.

It made me think the game was going to crash - it also occurs post mission if bonus XP levels up the item.

    So it's not just you!

  10. Really now we have to do Mobile Defense? lol I hated running conflicts period but I did run them once in a while.. now you've really killed it..

what if I go to the opposite team's solar rail,  take the data mass and carry it around without dropping it anywhere?? They will get upset and leave. and I'll leave and go online and do it again. edited>>>>it is war after all <<< edited...

I hope you understand my point of view.

This happened today at Malva, someone with no weapons came in, put the Datamass at the highest secret ledge he could find and then went idle. He was a clanner, so he might have been from the opposing one. Is that possible? If so why can they join missions against their own alliance anyway? On the brightside a decisive judgement and a flow dropped on that run, and I got the mass back down from the ledge after some trial and error :D Got paid too, to my surprise, figured with all the dawdling the reserve would have run out...

  11. When I launched a new file downloaded so this might be fixed now, gonna check.

Edit: Can get credits from regular missions again now but they don't seem increased, I think they are temporarily the way they used to be as a quick fix for the no credits issue.
