  1. The Shedu, as one of the newest weapons to the game, comes with one serious bug that all of the shedu-owning community has encountered at least once.  The Shedu, when used, will oftentimes "jam", refusing to fire even with a full clip.  After some experimenting I have found some reasons why it does this, and a temporary, but not infallible fix for players to use.

The jamming bug appears to happen because either the Shedu reloads more rounds than it is supposed to, or reloads with the blast effect when the magazine is not empty.  Furthermore, it appears that "falling out of the map" in cases where it normally teleports you back to solid ground also causes the bug.  I assume it is because the weapon is attempting to reload too many rounds, passing the limit for rounds in the weapon, and possibly doing a buffer overflow and going into the negative digits.

So far the best fix I've found is to throw a Fast Hands mod onto the weapon (normal, not primed,) and play with a Wisp that has 53% or as close as you can get fire rate buff on Resevoirs' Haste mote.  Be aware, however, that falling off the map may result in the Shedu jamming anyways.  There is no fix after jamming missions that I have found other than dying.

  2. From what I can tell, the Shedu sometimes produces more ammo than it can hold, possibly resulting in a buffer overflow, and thus making it think it has negative ammo despite displaying 7, and therefore it can never fire as it has not been told to "reload" back to 7.

Edit:  For now put fast hands on your build, it seems to fix the issue with the reloading code.
