  1. The Tennocon Game Show redeem codes, simarisdisplay - simarisducats - simariscredits, are all "Invalid Codes" on PS4.

My repeated attempts to use them has locked me out of further redeem chances. I would very much like to use these before they expire.

  2. Spent too long getting 4000 score in this pitifully biased operation, considering I am among the minority of lone wolf clans whom will forever be discriminated against by DE (with a smiling face on delivery), but whatever, I guess my introversion is my own fault.

Basically, I found an actually competent squad of randoms and join an Endurence Disruption mission. We pushed through the entire mission, except my score bugged after the very first defense node completed. 90 score.

As we completed more nodes, I found that my score did not change. Not at all. Completion didn't update. Nothing.

I sent a message in chat, "could someone let me know when we hit 4k? think my screen bugged."

    No response.

    "Nice, thanks." I thought.

Pushed through the entire mission, we extract. Took about a half hour or so. They're all "gg", "gg ty", etc.

    My score is still 90.

No Spectra, no Galaxion, just a bug that screwed me out of just rewards.

I have proof via video of the entirity of the mission, and I am 100% sure other players have dealt with this instability.

  3. Same here.

I've mastered all the K-Drives (excluding the Buried Debts K-Drive that was just released); and, up until this update, my profile showed each one as mastered. Moreover, each one had a unique name. Now they're all just "K-Drive".

Only one of them is shown as mastered and all the other models are grayed out, despite my having built, leveled, gilded, and leveled each model again. The only one that shows up as mastered is the model that I put a Forma on, and - DE - let me be clear: I am not going to invest Forma into these glorified skateboards just to "Master" them.

Frankly, it's getting really really REALLY tiresome with all this "one step forward and two steps back" bug crap that rears up with each update.

  4. To the point, I've discovered and entered/searched all 30 Vallis caves multiple times each (all in separate solo sessions), but my trophy progression still states 29/30.

As of March 2019, this bug is still a problem (on console at least, don't know if Buried Debts fixed it) and needs to be recognized/brought to the attention of devs until it's fixed.

It's annoying enough that players have to ride 1,000,000 meters on an inferior form of transportation which serves no other purpose than providing a variably low level of fun(?) for about 15 minutes - all before shifting into a frustratingly monotonous standing grind to make the inferior form of transportation slightly LESS inferior (and yet still substandard when compared to archwing); BUT an actual progress-halting bug on a trophy (Vallis Spelunker) is a legitimate problem for completionists like myself.

Anyone else still dealing with this?

  5. Oi

So, this will be short and simple, straightforward and sweet.

Given the fact that DE is currently working on melee 3.0 as well as perfecting blade and gun specifications, how outlandish would it be to have a shield and sword weapon, coupled with a sidearm?

Effectively, if you have something like the Ack and Brunt equipped with a Lato currently in hand, you could hold your aim button/trigger down, to - instead of zoom in/aim - bring up the shield and aim over shoulder to block damage. You could, therein, only move at a limited speed (as if you were legitimately aim-walking) but prevent some long range damage.

The only other drawback would be that, whilst having your secondary out, you can't quick melee.

Seems like I'm getting quite a lot of hate. If you want screenshots to PROVE that I damaged its health then I'll send you one on discord or something (But then I'll need your discord id). Second, I don't have the patience to shot at an orb for 3+ hour, so feel free to do that yourself. If your weapon doesn't work then use soma, that's what I used to test it.

You are making the claim that it's possible; therefore, the burden of proof falls on you.

You are perfectly capable of posting images/links in this thread.

  7. Whenever Chimera dropped on PS4, I was ecstatic to jump into my dojo and make use of the newly added Note Beacon decoration.

Being granted the possibility to FINALLY place messages and information for other players to peer upon was something I had dreamed of since my first delve into dojo decorating three years ago.

I let the hype go to my head.

Much to my chagrin, the Note Beacon was a personal decoration.... that required 35 Platinum per beacon.... and the beacon only supported 25-30 characters each.... and that the beacon took up 25 capacity per beacon placement....

Needless to say, I WAS ecstatic, but now I'm just disappointed.

There was sooooo much potential to make Note Beacons absolutely amazing implementations.

But, these Note Beacons? These gold-plated sticky notes?

    Too expensive.

I would have to pay $5 (70 Platinum for two beacons) to make one decent sentence.

    ONE.

    SENTENCE.

    DE, sincerely, change this please.

To some degree, I can understand why the beacon would take up a lot of space.

But, making these cheapjack Note Beacons a premium purchase, and 35 Platinum at that?

    -

It's like dangling a delicious, freshly picked apple in front of a starving child. You tell this child, "If you want this apple, give me $20."

Of course, the starving boy hands you $20. He's starving.

But, the first bite reveals a worm.

    -

DE, there was so much potential. But, I don't think it's fair to your players to charge copious amounts of Platinum for something as needed by dojo architects as the Note Beacon.

  8. These rumors are false. Enemy Radar only allows you to see the enemies in a greater radius, it does not affect spawn rates at all. The misconception being that a larger area of effect correlates to forced usage of that area, which is completely untrue.

For instance, the Kavat mod that sends out a massive pulse and reveals enemy locations on your mini map perfectly exemplifies the concept. It only shows you what's already there.

    End of.

  9. In Garuda's current state... she is MR fodder. Nothing more.

She isn't even a good gimmick at this point.

Garuda's passive is useless beyond level 30.

Her 1 is laughably slow and makes NO sense, considering her theme. A shield and a blood Lunaro? Why?

Her 2 will be used to tie down an eximus in the 50-60 sorties, maybe? Once, every 30 or 40 seconds. Then, re-targeting the same enemy again and again, because what else are you gonna do?

Her 3 is, considering the commonality of squad comps, desperate at best and detrimental at worst. You hurt yourself to get energy. Then, you die, because you just halved your life for a single ability cast in the middle of a sortie Mobile Defense.

Her 4 is pretty, but doesn't fit her theme either. It's also using Operator animations and assets from Nyx's 4. But, I assume that's just because of placeholder issues.

Garuda is destined to be as forgettable and as little used as Revenant or Gara, and DE has a LOT of work to do to make her worth any amount of effort.

    End of.

    Bottom line.

    No givesies backsies.

    Don't @ me.

  10. Plainly speaking, Operator combat animations feel unrefined at the best. Specifically, when holding/aiming an amp and simply moving the camera around, it shouldn't repeatedly phase through your Operator's torso - breaking your arms and dislocating your shoulders in the process.

The idle aiming animations appear unnaturally stiff and aren't even "aimed" at all (being that we're firing from the hip). And good god, our Operators must have the WORST back pain from being hunched over for several hours at a time.

From an uneducated standpoint, I would recommend DE animators refer to characters such as Samus and Mega Man for inspiration on how to help fix this. I mean, it's not as if these amps weigh 100 pounds or something; so there really isn't a reason for our Operators to be handling them in such a clunky fashion.

All-in-all, considering the number of times DE has cut corners on animation, it really begs the question of how much time was put into Operator combat; and whether or not it was rushed for the release of PoE. Moreover, seeing as how we are currently using our Operators for "end game" content now (Eidolon Hunting), and how we are going to be using our Operators for A LOT of content in the future, I feel as though refining the animations and stances need to be put to some degree of priority. Particularly so if DE implements the widely requested Operator melee weapons therein.

I'm aware as to how time consuming 3d animation is, as well as the vast number of man hours that would be required to fluidly implement such a change.

Yeah, Warframe is free to play blah blah blah.

But, with the amount of content offered in the game at this present time, that is no longer a viable excuse. Honestly.

    Thoughts?

  11. Just a tidbit of feedback on The Pyrus Project on PC, as well as the upcoming variant on consoles.

This is in relation to the fact that both PC and Xbox will be working towards rebuilding Strata Relay. But, PS4 will be rebuilding... Larunda?

I get it, PS4 already has Strata, but that's not what I have issues with. It's the fact that, post event, PC will not longer have any unique relays to the other platforms; being that it will share its relays with both PS4 (Two of them) and Xbox (One of them).

    PROBLEM:

As it stands now, PC has: Larunda, Kronia, and Orcus; sharing Kronia with PS4 and Orcus with Xbox - Larunda being it's unique relay.

PS4 has: Strata, Kronia, and Kuiper; sharing Kronia with PC, but none with Xbox - Kuiper being our unique relay.

Xbox has: Vesper, Leonav, and Orcus; sharing Orcus with PC, but none with PS4 - having both Vesper AND Leonav as unique relays.

    SOLUTION:

Rather than the PS4 working towards Larunda, removing the only unique location for the PC players, we should either rebuild Vesper or Leonav.

This would ensure that each platform has its own unique Relay, being Larunda for PCKuiper for PS4, and either Vesper or Leonav for Xbox - as well as each platform having control of Strata.

    Thoughts?

  12. Allow me to preface this post with the following:

    - I am aware that warframes are parkouring space ninjas.

    - I am aware that the console format restricts combat capabilities. i.e. "get gud #PCMasterRace"

    - I am aware that I can modify my controller configuration.

NOW, with that out of the way...

I am a big fan of tactical combat in any game. Communication, movement, awareness, etc. are all aspects that I focus on.

That being said, one of my favorite things about warframe combat is the camera shift function, allowing me to swap shoulders on the fly and letting me check corners and more effectively hold firing positions in firefights.

The problem is that I don't have anywhere on my controller to adequately bind this function without sacrificing another necessary function like secondary fire.

Currently, I have the camera swap set to UP on my D-pad, which is not a useful place for it.

Something that I have noticed in a number of 3rd person shooters is a dynamic camera which shifts, based on the direction of your movement: move right, camera shifts left - move left, camera shifts right.

Incorporating this sort of feature as a toggle-able option (such as the experimental archwing controls) would be rather beneficial for players searching for that tactical fluidity.

    Thoughts?

  13. I know I'm not the first to complain about this.

However, it is undeniably needing discussion and action.

DE, you have hidden LORE behind an RNG wall.

    RNG... for lore.

This is story we're talking about - not mainline story, but story nonetheless.

It's a common element in gaming, so why would you force your players to grind for 52(?) lore fragments at 16% drop rate per B and C rotations of the Ghoul Bounties?

If such a thing is how you provide incentive to play the bounties, you should probably take a step back and rethink your gameplay model.

The redundancy of the bounties (which btw weren't that fun to begin with), coupled with a 16% RNG (but really seems a lot lower) is pushing players to run and re-run ghoul bounties out of necessity, not want.

Personally, I've gone through about 40-ish runs so far... Zero codex fragments.

    Please, DE, refer to this:

You have a playerbase comprised of all types of gamers.

Why do you continue to craft content that punishes completionists, exasperates no-lifers, or even gives casual players a reason to quit Warframe?

No one is asking for handouts.

    We want fairness.

Take care of your people, and they will take care of you.

    Thanks

  14. Plain and simple, I'm referring to 3 mods in particular:

    - "Target Acquired" (Rotation A: 1.01% DR)

    - "Spring-Loaded Blade" (Rotation B: 1.01% DR)

    - "Kinetic Diversion" (Rotation C: 0.29% DR)

These mods are exclusive to Incursions in the plains and (as far as I know) cannot be Transmuted.

I repeat: farming Incursions is the only way to get these mods, meaning you will have to statistically run 100+ Incursions per Rotation to guarantee a drop.

at least 100 runs... hours upon hours of boredom/frustration.

Spoiler Alert: this isn't fun. I don't know why DE thinks this is fun.

It's a headache and needs to change.

Creating such appetizing rewards, then locking them behind ridiculously unfair RNG turns a potentially enjoyable experience into something that inspires audible groaning and exasperation.

It doesn't invite players, it drives them away.

Seriously DE, I know I'm not the only one. You keep making these decisions and shrugging off your playerbase, forcing a grind that could irritate the most zen of buddhist monks. The proof is in the pudding.

Why not create content that inspires play, providing positive incentive; rather than dangling a carrot on a stick that's held just BARELY out of reach?

At the very least, you could give us another way to collect the Incursion mods, or perhaps increase our chances of them dropping (such as a multiplier, based on how long we've been in the plains for that current session).

Maybe make them drops from the Eidolons?

Just please, do something to improve the quality of life for PoE and the Incursion mods, before the Plains become as unpopular as Tier 3 Sortie Defection Missions.

  15. Plain and simple, I have run roughly 10 or so hardest level bounty missions in the past hour n a half after consoles were given the "pre plague star" update ( i.e. the boil is here, but the event hasn't started ).

Whatever you guys did, I now have 20+ relics and damn-near a hundred Eidolon breath to show for it. Please, for the love of god, change it back to the first very short-lived economy rebalance. You've changed a good thing for the worse again, and what had been a rewarding experience ( I actually got a couple Eidolon lens blueprints ) is once more a migraine-causing grind.

I've gone back to loathing the bounties again, doing the same crap over and over for no equivalent reward. It's not fun. It's repetitive and mind-numbing.

P.S.- please nerf that damn Bolkor turret. I'm sick and tired of getting 2-shot from 200m away by some dropship while I'm using my iron skin rhino. I mean, SERIOUSLY, why even send Grineer grunts down?? Just send 2 Bolkor and bam, Tenno mush.

  16. Question: In relation to the concept of our Operators "maturing" or "becoming warriors", it was stated in previous DevStreams that there would be a sort of "Focus" for our Tenno Death Beam in the form of a projectile weapon. With that in mind, would it be safe to infer that the operators will also be provided with melee weapons objectively related to said Focus, or simply melee weapons in general?

Just as well, when referring to our Operators becoming "warriors" or otherwise developing a knowledgeable approach to battles, will we see a more appropriate movement system akin to how our Warframes approach combat (I.e. rolling, sidestepping, bullet jumping, etc.) without being forced to sap our energy pools by invisi-dashing?

  17. Mission Type: Rogue Assassination

Mission Description: Assassinate the Rogue Tenno

Mission Requirements: Completed the "Natah" and "The New Strange" Quests

Synopsis: A Rogue Tenno has defected to either the Grineer or Corpus Faction and has otherwise abandoned the Tenno cause. It is your job to defeat and capture (by downing them and capturing them) - or Synthesize - this Tenno.

At the beginning of this mission the Lotus (or Teshin) will chime in as always, but generally more distressed:

Lotus (or Teshin): "Tenno, one of our own has defected to the [Insert Faction Name] and has abandoned the Tenno cause. We cannot allow this betrayal to go unpunished. Track down the target, eliminate, and capture them.

"I know this may be difficult, but it must be done."

Then, everyone's favorite data hoarder speaks up:

Cephalon Simaris: "Hunter, do not squander this opportunity. While your target may be Tenno in nature, they are nonetheless a perfect target for the hunt; and a future addition to the Sanctuary."

"Synthesize this target for me, and knowledge will be your reward."

    ----

This Tenno (which will have a random non-quest related warframe, a random companion/sentinel, and equipment based on the Faction they are currently serving) will be stationed on a node as an assassination target for Alert Missions. When approached, just as any other Assassination Target, the Tenno (who, in the transmission window, will be wearing one of the custom operator outfits, including mask) will either taunt you or simply spout off various boss-like phrases (which may or may not be mentally askew), such as:

    - "The Lotus lied to us, lied to you! She is a Sentient and cannot be trusted - you must understand this!

    - "Turn back, don't make me destroy you."

    - "The [Insert Faction Name] offered me freedom... what has the Lotus offered you, other than more orders?"

    - "I knew it was only a matter of time before you found me. Come then, let's end this."

    - "Ya know, I always wondered what it would feel like to kill one of my own. *chuckles*"

    - "My oh my, look what we have here... another lamb to the slaughter."

    (actual phrases may vary)

    ----

HERE'S THE KICKER: The Reward for completing this mission (ideally) should be Focus Lenses, if you defeat and capture the target. This will create a more viable mission reward that doesn't clog up the Sortie List and offers a decent challenge for newer players.

Moreover, if you were to Synthesize the target, you receive Simaris standing instead of said Lens.

    ----

Mission Completion: Upon extracting from this mission, the Lotus (or Teshin) will have some empathetic words for you, as you did just take down a fellow Tenno, stating that "I know this was hard for you, Tenno, but we had no other choice." or "You have displayed great valor and have shown your dedication to the Tenno cause. Well done."

SOOOO, what do ya think? :D

Addendum A: If Teshin were to offer this mission, it may prove viable to set it as a weekly task; such as Clem's Artifact Recovery Mission or Maroo's Ayatan Treasure Hunt Mission.

Once per week, you may approach and speak to Teshin about the rogue Tenno. Badda-Bing Badda-Boom.

    Variety.

  18. Okay, so I have a fair interest in analyzing and (generally speaking) learning the conceptualization of story arcs and themes, plots and the like; and, tbh, Chains of Harrow was really... boring.

    A few Grievances:

1 - for starters, it was really sort of hit-and-miss with the whole autistic tenno child situation, "suffering" and "carrying a burden" for some reason or the other. Rell's state of being seemed rather shallow and only appeared to serve as a status quo for modern social normality.

2 - the quest, in and of itself, was not scary. the jumpscares weren't even jumpy. the seances at Iron Wake were un-involved, and the stock animation pulled me from story; reminding me that this quest, Chains of Harrow, was just another point-to-point grind that can be finished without really connecting with the characters or plot.

3 - potentially my Biggest Grievance: THE INVINCIBLE GHOST OF INVINCIBILITY. if there is one trope that DE never seems to grasp, is that invincible plot devices (or IDPs) are NOT good for gameplay. Akin to damage/HP-gating bosses, IDPs (such as Rell's ghostly manifestation that hunts you forever) ruin gameplay. Especially considering the fact that the War Within MUST be completed before Chains of Harrow; it is assumed that we, as an experienced Tenno/Warframe, would be able to fight back (or to a lesser degree, improvise some solution to an obvious problem).

4 - the Boss Fight. Need I say more? Yes. ::LISTEN UP DE:: - If you're Finale for a quest is to put the Player in a situation where they WILL DIE TENS OF TIMES IN A SINGLE FIGHT, then you need to take a Solid step back and rethink your modus operandi of game development (then again, maybe this ties into Plains of Eidolon *SP*, and how your operator is really squishy and needs to "grow up").

5 - "Hey Kiddo." - nice touch. this lil part took me by surprise, and I genuinely enjoyed the unnerving premise that this unknown person/thing just sorta skin swapped my operator for a sec.. just. to say. hello.

    Overall Score: 2/5

Very Hit and Miss: Mostly Miss.

Harrow is a good warframe tho
