  1. This literally happened to me yesterday. Only difference is I was in Council chat. I said something along the lines of "-snip- is an OK weapon, but it's attacks are so slow". I didn't even know I'd been kicked at first.

Certain words shouldn't get you banned, the profanity filter exists for a reason. people who don't want to see them, should just turn it on. (Or leave it on, because it's on by default.)

I use Council chat pretty frequently, and it's irritating to be cut off from that. Council chat has proven to be more helpful than region for pretty much everything.

  2. The PROBLEM is the fact that I have to dump insane amounts of money just to use my fusion cores. This update killed the game for older players as all of our level 30 gear is useless until we farm enough new mods/dump enough platinum for the chance of gettings cards that are actually useful. It costs well over 300k just to fully upgrade one mod and yet credit drops are exactly the same.

I don't have a problem losing all my mods. My problem is that my weapons don't FEEL like I've ever used them. All my level 30 gear feels like unranked gear. There should still have been at least SOME scaling of weapons/warframes (Damage/Firerate and Health/shields) based on level. Now, It's like I just started playing Warframe for the first time. And It makes me not even want to play at all. I had 800 shields before update 7, dropping me back to 100 is murderous. My weapons don't kill Mercury level stuff hardly. I may as well just start the entire game over. Why not just reset everything? That's what this new "Mod" system has done.

As to the "Why not just start over" point, I've put time into this, I don't want all my effort to vanish like so much dust. But it's too late. They've already made that happen.

  3. Not everyone wants to go solo. If I want to play online, but don't want to be forced to play with a laggy host, why can't I?

It should allow you to host an online game without having to join an in-progress session.

  4. Honestly if the changes are as sweeping as they appear to be, then they need to do a full reset of the server. This ensures that proper testing is done at all game play levels and skill sets.

I think that might just drive away players. If I'd spend the time and effort to grind out a warframe or two, and then they where just deleted and told me it's because they wanted to reset it. I'd quit. Simple as that. The whole point of the CBT is get a significant number of players to play and get their feedback. That sort of thing, imho, is counterproductive. As they will still have to grind out other Warframes and weapons, etc.

  5. I've always gotten the impression that the Orokin where humans, 100%. that Orokin is basically the Warframe equivilent of the Roman Empire, or some other reasonably advanced ancient society.

The Orokin fought "The Sentients" for which they created the TCV and the infested.

The Sentients doesn't sound like something that a human civilization would call itself, so I assume it is an extra-solar threat. The Corpus is simply the equivilent of corperations of today. They're out for money, and will do anything to get it. The Grineer have always seemed to have some feeling of entitlement to earth(Being the birthplace of Humanity) so they want it for pride if nothing else. The exact motive of the Lotus(I believe it's a group, not just an individual) is entirely unclear. They give no reason for the Tenno to fight the Grineer, Corpus, or Infested except that they are told to.

  6. Yup disruptors got nothing. Just do a barrel roll.

Green fart clouds are the most dangerous things in Warframe.

Agreed. I can handle 3 or 4 Disrupters at once, but 2 or 3 toxics will kill me before I can even get away.

And the Grineer Balls aren't bad, except when you're lagging and using a Bolt weapon, then they are bloody impossible.

  7. An Idea that occured to me the other day, was that the Warframes are remotely operated by Tenno. This would explain the odd change from male to female when changing Warframes. Each warframe has enough stored energy to fully repair itself 4 times before having to be fully recharged(Which takes a full day). It would also explain why it is that when a Warframe dies and is out of revives you can just switch warframes and have more revives.

I have no sources for this, just an idea. Though I guess a bunch of that stuff could apply to actually wearing the Warframe as well.

  8. Multishot only fires 2 bullets at once I believe.

It can fire as many as your percentage allows. I've got 130% multishot on my Akbolto(From 3 mods), and I've seen it fire 3 bolts at once.

And as for Warframe Melee damage, I can also verify that it only effects ordinary melee. My Cronus does more damage with a normal melee than a charged attack. This is with about 200% melee damage on my WF, and 50% melee damage or so on the Cronus itself.

  9. Over the weekend I played a good bit with a friend of mine. We noticed that when we first logged in we appeared as online and in game menus. After we played a mission, we would appear offline to each other, but we where in the same game. The only way we found to fix it was to relog(Both of us).

While this isn't quite the same problem most of you are having. It is a similiar issue.

  10. So, I just tried to sell come blueprints. When I went to sell them it gave me the 20k for the 5 or so blueprints, but then it said "Could not sell the upgrade at this time. Please try again later." It gave me the credits for it, but didn't remove the items from my inventory. I tried it a few more times just to make sure I didn't have a whole bunch of the blueprints, but I ended up selling the blueprints 10x each.

Edit: I just went back into Warframe and it removed the credits from selling the blueprints.

  11. Rule 1. Drink each time you die

Rule 2. Drink each time a MOD drops

Rule 3. Drink twice when you loot BO mod (because its so terrible)

Rule 4. Drink after every mission done/fail

Rule 5. Drink when you blow up a window

First time I've seen rules that actually make sense(by that I mean, aren't designed specifically to get you F***ed up ASAP.) I'm going to have to try this out.

  12. Or they could allow you to change your settings in game.

IE; Set yourself to Solo, or Private, launch the mission then change mid mission to Online(Or private). Or from Online to Private.

Though, anyone who was already in when switching from online would be left in.

I would also like the ability to kick players. I've had a few times where I joined a game only to find the one other person is AFK and I'm at a door that takes 2 to open.

  13. That's like me asking "How does a car work?" and you answering "You get in and drive it around"

Technically true, but not really an answer to the question. Though, you're right, the first two where simple yes/no answers.

However, #3 A weapon has to be out to gain the radial affinity bonus. This was being discussed last night.

By out, I mean in your hand, not on your holster, or your back.

Simple doesn't cut it for a complex question. #4 was actually 5 questions asked as one.

  14. 1) You can still reach level 30. But you will only have 15 upgrade nodes available, meaning you'll have points to spend, but nothing to spend them on.

    2) If you sell a weapon, and buy a new one, it will start unranked.

    3) If you have it in your hand it will gain radial affinity(Term I've heard used) which comes from people in your game killing things/doing damage)

    4) This one is a bit trickier. First part; Weapons gain ranks by, hitting enemies, or being in your hand when other people in your game kill enemies.

Weapons gain damage from the upgrade nodes and mods.

I'm not exactly certain how warframes gain ranks. I would think it's from using abilities, taking damage, and recovering from damage. Warframes also get a smaller amount of experience from radial affinity, just like weapons do, only they get less. Warframes get more skills by unlocking them in the upgrade tree.

Hope that all makes sense and answers your questions. Though if someone knows more about how warframes gain ranks, I'd like to know about it.

EDIT: A couple of new posts where made before I posted this. They seem extremely lacking in any sort of detail.
