  1. There's a slew of Miter/Opticor/Javlok/Panthera reports, and I can confirm that they are indeed bugged in game. However, I think this issue is also highly related.

The fact that Neutralizing Justice does NOT destroy the Nullifier protoshield as it is supposed to.

All I get upon firing my Miter blades at a Nullifier protoshield is that the blades are sort of 'glued' to the bubble with absolutely no decrease to their size (i.e., no damage dealt)

I would like for the programmers to keep this in mind as they conduct the bug squashing.

  2. I can't believe the management caved in to the complaints from the adamant lazy bums.

It's one thing to try and make the game as fun as possible for many people. It's another to be hijacked by 'fans'. The lack of backbone is rather telling now.

Since I never use Carrier / Vacuum a lot, I'm not affected by the change to begin with. But I can see that in the future, toxic players will use this as a textbook case to level changes to the game. BAD changes.

  3. Why don't you use other Sentinels for a change then. If the range is the same now, then what's keeping you?

What about me who never wanted this? Are you going to just disregard my feedback because 'majority' ?

What the management is doing isn't being spiteful towards the players. It's a balancing act. Carrier is used too much and it's past the time for balance changes. What did people say when U17 movement system rolled out? Lots of negative things. After a while? They moved on.

Just give it time to sink in and don't act like a bunch of spoiled kids about it.

It's not that small a number though at the end of the day.

    We've gone from a 12 Meter Sphere (7238.23 units) to a 6 Meter Sphere (904.78 units). That's the reduction of 87.5% effectiveness.

    As per this sphere:

    8PcWLV.png

Because of this, whereas before you would have to go down a hallway the once, usually while completing your objectives or a minor detour / pass, it will now require 2-4 passes of a hallway.

A room that required 1-4 bullet jumps around and the ability to jump high, will have to make 8-20+ jumps to cover the same area up and down.

If things get stuck in hard to get palces, spawn inside the wall, etc, 6M will also not likely be enough to account for that, meaning you lose that glitched out item whereas before, Vacuum could get it for you.

At the end of the day, this reduction requires you to backtrack a significant amount, it disrupts the flow of play, requiring you to specifically dedicate additional time in a mission to going back on yourself to collect that loot.

In turn, the means you have some choices:

Play the game, but take easily between 10% to 50% the loot home you would have before with a Carrier.

Loot, meaning you will take more time per mission, resulting in less games played per session (with much of that time spent walking / jumping around empty areas)

Buy the items you want to build.

Is this game so unenjoyable to you that you'd rather missions get cleared faster in your personal stance of 'loot picking', while ignoring the blatant fact that 'fast fooding' any game makes it die faster? What are you in such a hurry for?

  5. There's a logical fallacy called 'Ad Populum', or Appeal To Popularity / Right By Numbers.

Using the number of people to prove a point in an attempt to force its legitimacy is always dubious. Study up on that please.

And do not think that polls are accurate representations. They can be jacked, and they can be just as biased. Nothing can please everyone. Assuming that the 'majority' should always be pleased is nothing but tyranny by numbers. Players are not the creators of the game, and this is not a constructive course of the debate.

If you never wanted Vacuum, why did you just not use the mod?  Why should the other 80% of players be forced to play like you when you have the options?

To make a blanket statement of my own; people defending the vacuum nerf seem to be personally offended by people not wanting to play like them.  But you are in the massive minority, and you have always had the option to not use vacuum. You always had the option to use other sentinels, or pets, or not bring a companion at all.

Now the option has been taken away from everyone else, can you really not see why they are upset? Why not buff the other sentinels so they have the same vacuum as carrier if you want people to try other ones? Why not just make the vacuum mod universal? Then people would still have the option to not use the mod if they find vacuum so personally offensive, and there would be more reason to use the other sentinels for people who enjoy the old vacuum.

First off, do not assume I use Carrier like the so-called majority. Look at my profile and you'll know my most used companion is Helios. I didn't force anyone to play like I do because my main point is that they are too spoiled by the utility that Vacuum brings, and it's way past the right time to change it. I'm not assuming you will or will not continue to use Carrier. I'm not assuming if OTHER people will or will not continue to use Carrier. I'm just telling everyone to live with the pan-Sentinel changes, and they ARE, NOT, FINAL.

Second, massive minority? What kind of a grammar are you using? Less than half of the playerbase use the forums here and we all know it. In an interview, our dear [DE]Rebecca said that there's an average of 60K players who play Warframe everyday. Do we have an average of 60K players who are forum posters? None of us can represent everyone, but you are here to attempt representation of the 'majority' you think you can vouch for.

THEN, if you really want us to have 'option' to use other Sentinels and animal companions, why are you trying to force them to receive pickup-range changes? What is the merit in trying to do so? I don't want MY companions to have the same OP pickup range as Vacuum mod. Why don't you think from THAT perspective for a change? Oh, right. Because you assume that everyone -wants- an abnormally large lazy loot pick range.

Finally, all Sentinels don't need a mod to have the pickup range and that's a good thing. You are putting up arms because you don't think it's good enough. Yet another example of acting entitled. Why don't you just say what's bad about other Sentinels and get on with it? Animal Instinct alone had already gotten me more common resources than I can ever expend. If I don't want to pick up any more, why should I be forced to pick up more due to a forced pickup range increase?

  7. I don't want to resort to insults since that is against the forum rules, but I want to make a blanket statement.

Vacuum users have had enough lazyness for far too long. It's not like a shortened range is equal to 'none at all'. I said this before and I'll say it again. The default pickup radius is generous enough (except Archwing) whereas other games don't even have that much. This isn't a game where everything should be handed to you on a silver platter. On the other hand, I never wanted Vacuum to be forced on me, so what about MY opinion should it be made 'default' for every Warframe?

Carrier still has an utility, and that's ammo. It's more practical and sensible than pickup lazyness. DEAL WITH IT.

    @above

I used Vacuum because I did not want to worry about picking up items.  The Vacuum mod was 12m and now it's 6m.  You halved the range!  I just want to play the game and not worry about if i got all the pickups off the ground.  Stop trying to make the game more tedious to play.  I would have rather just kept things the way they where then this.

Animal Instinct. You never have one despite periodic Alerts giving it? Why worry when you can SEE what's around the floor?

  8. I can now confirm that so far, Alloy Drum, Circuit Lockbox and Argon Fematite both don't show up in Codex even after fully scanning them. This needs to be addressed along with the age old Hyekka Master friendly fire bug.

  9. I know I'm late to this discussion, but I figured out I should say my piece before it's too late.

I personally think that Vacuum was the utility that should never have existed in the first place. Look at what happened to the first iteration of Greedy Pull, and the playerbase reaction to its changes. Now we're stuck in the same rut, where players will be divided whether Vacuum will be changed or not. The real problem with Vacuum right now, is that it sprouted 3 issues that need to be addressed. It's making Carrier the mindless loot drone that most people would use for no other purpose, it invalidates the purpose of other companions entirely for them, and it's disruptive to the clients when host-pulled loot would be located in random spots, endangering them should they have no Carriers.

I don't think adding to the loot tug-of-war is going to solve this issue. Far from it. Players have been spoiled by Vacuum as the utility to the point of being 'entitledly lazy' and made all the more vocal for it. The lesser evil of the 2 choices (increased default pickup radius for all Warframes vs adding more sunction mods) would be the first one, but even should that choice be made, I will be saddened, because it's a change necessitated by collective lazyness.

If anyone is to look at my profile, they will see that my most used companion is Helios. Does that mean I want all companions to have damage amplification mechanics? NO. All I want is for all companions to be equally used and appreciated for their various utilities, instead of being eclipsed by Vacuum due to the increasing lazyness to GO AND PICK UP THEIR DROPS.

If Vacuum is untouchable, at least make sure that Interception and Defense mission drops don't stay unpicked when players decide to end the mission. That will give them all time to pick up their well deserved fruits of labor, and help the game in the longest run.

  10. From a lore perspective it makes zero sense for Fusion Cores to be 'rare' yet thousands are needed at the same time. Putting them together in a single sentence will tell you how much of a nonsensical deal it currently is. First, Fusion Cores look just like any other Mod on the outside. How can we logically differentiate that and the actual mods if not for what the cards say?

With the introduction of Endo, we'll be saying goodbye to using 'long lost relics of Fusion process' which were TOO NUMEROUS to be just long lost relics, and welcome an actual form of energy needed to infuse the mods.

  11. I think everyone's forgetting about the fact that Fusion Cores dropping from enemies means that they have less chances of dropping OTHER mods we actually need. I'm looking at you, Firestorm, Rage, Berserker and Life Strike!

If I'm scrying this right, Endo is a way for us to turn duplicate mods into it, so there's no actual process to earn them involved. We're already getting mods we had obtained to the number of hundreds. Might as well keep getting them and turn them into Endo. If it's REALLY the case then I'm all for it.

But just as others said, instead of cramming a lot of features into our incoming updates, we prefer our updates to be STABLE and ENJOYABLE. No need to feel pressured just because your content pace makes you feel slower than other game studios. This can come like, what, some time around the last part of The War Within update? Most of us won't even mind.

Heck. You HAVEN'T FIXED HYEKKA MASTERS CAUSING FRIENDLY FIRE WITH THEIR NAPALM BOMBS during invasions!

  12. I think that the current system isn't bad. It's just not done good enough. After more polishing, it will be great. For time being, I'll give credit and criticism where they are due.

Good thing is, we get a better idea of what we're going to get.

Bad thing is, we're suffering from fast depletion of relics.

  13. One does not simply 'farm' Oxium. With that said, the best bet is to go to a Jupiter mission, deal with Anti-Moas, and hope that Oxium Ospreys come by as much as possible. Every time an Oxium Osprey beeps twice, roll sideways. You do NOT want it to self destruct on you. It will give no drops that way. Bring a high Electric damage weapon to kill it as fast as possible.

    I hope it helps.

  14. I wasn't the one who suggested the keeping of relic, but I can understand where that came from. An option not to spend the relic should be in place for greater range of gameplay choice, I can imagine.

But that's where my point lies for time being. We only get parts to choose from, not ALL of them. And because all relics yield only 1 part now instead of the previous Void missions where we can get multiple parts, I suggested an increase of acquisition.

    4. With this new system, you basically run 4 Void Missions in one mission, regardless of who chose what Relic. If that's not impressive, I don't know what else to tell you.

I can't take the last part of your post seriously.

All it actually means is that having all 4 players attend to the same fissure merely brings a greater amount of selection. We don't get 4 parts 1 one run EVER. Saying that we basically run 4 Void missions in 1 run this way is like speaking things while blind.

  16. I can confirm. There are still 3 bugs to be solved, which are overt.

Simaris Daily Synthesis targets, which can't register for counts and Standing points. If this keeps up then even Imprint Synthesis targets will be threatened.

The Saturn Junction's Jupiter Spy Mission task. 3 out of 3 extracted, and it STILL doesn't count.

The kneeling problem after returning from Dojo and other things. Sometimes the entire header is gone, making us unable to join missions, forcing us to quit the game and start again.

    Other bugs include:

Sometimes Lotus' dialogue about reactants shows a filepath instead of text.

Void missions not giving Relics as they should be

THE CORPUS SPY TILE WHICH HAS LASER WALLS is still glitched. After pressing the switch to turn off the laser walls, the one leading to the data vault is shown as active! Fix this already! It's OLD!

Grineer spy tile with Lynx in the room still has graphical flickering.

ANOTHER OLD BUG: Containers where they shouldn't be; Inside walls, inside doors, merged with alarm consoles, etc.

A new one in return: Rescue mission has a very delayed escape phase. It takes minutes after rescuing the subject for the escape route to be active.

Another new one thanks to below post: Kavat gene sequence acquisition rate is too low. There's no increase.

  17. Void ships USED TO BE PLUNDERED by Grineer and Corpus because they would logically contain Void artifacts. It makes absolutely zero sense for Void to have no Relic drops whatsoever. After all, the current Relic system is already a tedious way to get Prime parts.

While I'm at it, since not everyone is into Syndicates, how about making Cephalon Simaris offer Relic packs too?
