  1. -I dislike having an 800 damage cap that I can't see go down. An Icon to let me know when Iron Skin is up would help. Duration Timers on all sustained abilities would help. Things like Iron Skin, Contagion, Link, Overheat, Smokescreen, Invisibility, you know, those neat self buffs that you don't know when they will go down.

    How I'd Fix It:

    Complete Re-balance of the Rhino. Give him more than one Tanking Ability, and let those abilities have synergy. 800 Damage Shield + Taunt is neat, but having an 80% DR + CC Immunity would help it go a lot farther. Please give us more options, not less options. We might have to pop our taunt multiple times during our DR timer, but at least we could make it through till the next wave. Or the next Kill. Or the next 10 feet.

    To everyone who thinks I want my God-Mode back:

    Hell yes I do! I want to be a melee-ist in this game. I work very very hard with every other frame to run around, slide in, do my little spin, and prance away hoping I'm not dead yet. I picked up the Saryn cause she has a 60% melee damage amp, and I'm going to enjoy getting my 2 slides with Contagion Activated. I haven't yet as she's not quite as immune to CC as the Rhino is, but I'm working on that.

    My God-Mode let me fully charge a swing in the middle of an infested crowd and keep me alive for the 2 or 3 swings it took to decimate the whole thing. For the rest of the time, it sat there and looked pretty. I could go anywhere at any time and not worry, cause I have Iron Skin to get me out of whatever I fell into. I miss that. Its an amazing feeling of power when you can do something other people can't. I want that feeling back with the Rhino, and I don't really care how they give it back either.

    Totally agree with this. It was the first thing I thought of, that if they are going to give rhino a second shield, why the hell can't I see numbers and then make decisions accordingly, it's just going to be stand there until, oh wait, no it's gone and oh look I'm dead because I rely on it as my main form of survivability because I have to equip flow and streamline so that I can use my abilities more than once therefore not leaving me with a lot of mod space.

    So I either equip tanks mods and don't get to use my powers much, not fun and not really effective. Or in the other hand I equip power efficiency mods making me less tanky and more reliant on an unreliable skill. Again, not fun. It needs the shield value upped with bart or visuals to show shield depletion or some code which can proportionally up the value of the shield by a percentage based on the level of enemies being faced.

  2. Seriously guys what are you doing, do you even test his stuff before you send it live? Or maybe you should have a small test area for people who play the game or just founders (I'm not one but it would add value to the founders pack) to test future patch changes and provide feedback before you do?

    I swear this has made it worse. Now the power spent is not even worth the return in later levels, you end up losing your shield in a second with high level enemies and its just not fun.

    Anyone who has said that "oh this change means you play more skilfully or whatever", is wrong. There is an element of timing involved in fighting the AI in this game but by no means is it really that skilful, it's just about having a laugh obliterating things and in a PvE game balance isn't all that important. So they are saying this in order to validate themselves or the rhino they have spent a lot on and so need to justify its use.

    I have said before that all you needed to do was keep it exactly the same and play with the duration to balance, make it a number 4 skill and move number 4 to 2 and do the same thing. Decent length to be worthwhile, not long enough to be game breaking. Simples.

  3. Welcome to what forums do to games. Not even PvE games are immune to mob rule.

    I was opposed to the change and I am a bit sad that DE let forum whining design their game in this case. I just don't want to contribute to the problem now by trying to whine to get it set back. They should be measuring OP/UP by usage stats alone, not by the loudest forum whiners.

    If you feel a frame isn't good, then don't use it - and they will have to revisit it.

    Ok so by your logic when somoene says something on the forum, or if you get a high enough post count, devs will make changes to the game? Unfortunately I don't think it is that democratic. Also this is a PvE based game, I really don't see that many people posting about how it sucks that rhino is invincible and can hold agro well on defence missions. So it really isn't being controlled by forum whiners.

    It sounds like you can't tolerate these types of people and so lash out at them indirectly. I am pretty sure they listen to opinions but by no means take it as conclusive. Saying whining is the problem and that you don't want to contribute does not benefit anyone in this already deviated argument.

  4. Awesome idea, here is my adaptation using what you have thought of as a base. Going more of a support route.

    Spell 1 - energy bone spear - throws a energy based spear (gothic themed) in a line that damages mobs and restores a small amount of power to ally warframes.

    Spell 2 - bone wall - doesn't have to look like bones but metal objects shaped roughly like them to resemble a metal wall designed to look like it has skulls and bones on it, type thing. Creates a wall (certain width and height) to block or divert

    Spell 3 - resurrect - (or 2 depending on what which power cost) - ressurect target mob to fight for you (increased stats as pet) until it dies (mob targeted before dieting so it comes back to life) or downed ally instantly. Would be cool to have a pet (pet-like) to walk with you through the whole level.

    Spell 4 - blood curse - creates a large area on the ground which becomes cursed (or adapted to meet the futuristic needs of warframe) but does damage to anything that walks into the area and life steals (damage over time) restoring health to those within the circle.

  5. Sorry, added this to another post also but they shouldn't of changed iron skin, instead, left it as it was and make it his ultimate (as this is a I-win button for any class). Then just play around with the duration to balance it, this forces the player to pick when he uses the ability due to the power cost and duration (instead of always on like it was before) Then move his current ultimate and make it a 50 power ability and also play around with the duration to balance. That way he has now 2 usable abilities with appropriate power costs.

    What they misread was that it wasn't the ability itself that was the problem but the fact that because the power cost was so low with the right mods you can always have it on which ruined gameplay as there was no risk.

  7. Yeah no. Melee is still far more effective against infested creatures than any ranged I have ever seen. While a normal attack damage buff may be in order, charged damage wise I can put out an equal amount to my fully modded hek shotgun with a single charged attack that can hit 3 targets, double while invisible. Seeing as my hek can put out over 1000 damage in a single shot, that is amazing that a melee swing can do double its damage. :p

    Until you are a high level, like a challenge but can't use melee at all because of poison/disrupters so you end up just standing back and doing what you do with every other faction and shoot.

  8. All they had to do to rhino instead of nerfing the ability was to up its power cost to 100 and make it his ultimate instead (duration maybe slightly longer?) and tone down the duration of his current ultimate to make it usable as a 50 power ability. Then rhino would be balanced and possibly have another usable ability.
