  1. I spent some time tooling around/formaing with the new sniper rifle, the Komorex. I like the weapon a lot; it has a cool niche of being an AoE status sniper rifle and has excellent audio. However there are a few glaring issues with it that seem to drag it down a lot.

    • Long reload: The reload time on the Komorex is 3 seconds. By the time you are finished reloading it, the shot counter wears off entirely. This was a problem with the Rubico way back, and the Rubico's reload time was reduced to address the issue. I feel that the Komorex needs the same treatment, or at least an innate shot combo timer increase. Another option is explained along with the next issue.
    • AoE does not build the shot combo at all: Considering the niche here as a status rifle, itt is often more beneficial to shoot an area between enemies in order to hit them all with status procs and damage. However, the AoE burst of the rifle does not build shot combo at all, so this often times ends up hurting the weapon more than helping it. Considering the reload time is so long that the combo drops off entirely after you are out of rounds in the magazine, I feel like the burst should build combo so that rounds at the beginning of the magazine have lower damage and later in the magazine the damage is really high. This would give it a damage ramp mechanic that would be kinda analogous to the sentient's adaptive defense mechanic, ramping up in strength over time.
    • The Scope design is distracting: With most other sniper rifles, the pattern of the scope has a circle in the center to draw the eye there for aiming. However, the Komerex has a pattern that draws the eye away from the center with two curved arrow shapes pointing away from the cross heir. I often found myself trying to aim with the round parts on the left and right as opposed to the dot in the middle because of this. If the two curved arrows pointed towards the center instead, it would alleviate this issue.

Important information as a result of this feedback (lots of merged threads):

Right to the meat - we are reverting the Emissive Energy inheriting Secondary energy as of next Hotfix. The reason we added this was because we read player feedback indicating disappointment 'Secondary Energy' did nothing on the Warframe itself, so we tried to give it meaning. And now the meaning has swung too far the other way!

You can expect a way more in-depth colour customization to come soon - at least we're experimenting with something really wild. We will be working on giving you (Forma using players) even more options - 4 energy customization slots total. Primary and Secondary for the Warframe itself. Primary and Secondary for the Warframe's Abilities and Effects. This means your all-Red Ember could have Blue Fire. Your Green Saryn could have Orange Spores, etc. But - it's in the laboratory. Stay tuned for a Dev Workshop as we work on this. And if you don't use Forma, you won't be forced to. Your Secondary slots would just be the same as Primary, so nothing would force a Forma, etc.

What does this mean for Chroma and Equinox's energy color based forms? Will we get a separate toggle for this so that powers aren't energy color dependent?

  3. Personally, I don't think it should be a channeled damage only thing at all. Abilities like that are always either completely useless or the only thing you do while playing the frame. If it were a duration-based aura ability that didn't require you to be stuck in a channel animation (think Gara's Splinter Storm) you would be able to do other stuff, like fire your weapons or use melee. It would be particularly synergistic with melee since it sucks in enemies. This would allow players to not only live out the meat grinder fantasy Garuda tries to invoke, but allowing the player some agency over how they want to live out that fantasy.

  4. Steps to reproduce:

    1. Equip Hyekka Geme Mask Kit

    2. Exit arsenal

    3. Unequip Hyekka Gene Masking Kit

Expected results: Kavat returns to its normal fur pattern

Actual Results: Kavat is headless and the UI is frozen. You can still access chat, but you cannot exit the arsenal, access the esc menu, or change any other options.

  5. The copy made through Equinox's Duality augment can harm the player when using the (Synod) Simulor. I don't have a video, but here are the steps to replicate.

    1. Metamorphosis with (Synod) Simulor equipped.

    2. Have Duality copy fire the simulor at enemies

    3. Metamorphosis again before the vortexes explode

    4. Stand next to the vortexes made by your clone.

    5. Die from self-damage when the vortex explodes
