Yes it is really inconsistent now. Some maps it starts as it should (overlayed), some missions it doesn't. Every cutscene, after 5 rounds defense or 1 wave interception it resets to the normal minimap. So right now the 'prefer overlayed map' option is broken.

Bump. I, too, have an older daily that I can 'turn in' over and over (giving me the dialog for finishing it without any reward or completion), which means I cant take on any more dailies until this is fixed.

Not just that. The overlayed version resets to the normal minimap whenever you are revived or complete 5 waves in defense.

This is a very specific bug. It appeared more than once under a certain set of circumstances on Uranus, Titania during the Tyl Regor boss fight. After phase one of the fight, he spawns two Drekar Manics. They have an attack that pins the player to the ground as they claw him. During this attack the player can't move.
However, when they died just when they started this attack (due to a delayed Tonkor grenade or a shot from my Carrier's Sweeper Prime) then the frame stands back up as if it was just knocked down. For quite a while it is locked in place, can not move or attack, yet still takes damage from sources around it. After a number of seconds everything is back to normal.
In all instances of this happening (about 5x during my Equinox farm runs) I was playing Rhino Prime with activated Iron Skin. The Iron Skin was completely destroyed (no matter the percentage remaining) every time this bug happened.
It appears as interrupting the attack animation of the Drekar Manics causes this lockdown. Hope the report can help sort it out.
Overlay map resets in defense+Interception (and the Index)

This is a minor bug, but annoying nonetheless. I play with the overlayed map as default. However, whenever you hit the reward screen after 5 waves in defense (1 wave in interception) in which you decide to stay or leave, the map gets reset to the standard minimap. The same thing happens when you die in the new Index mode.
I know it is resolved by a simple button press but it really shouldnt be hard to fix.
