  1. Friggin ropalolyst over here decided to take a page from sans himself and then opted not to attack, we had one generator left to go, we couldn't ram him into it unfortunately because it wasn't charged yet and he wasn't firing any beams.

Spears would be an interesting take. I think the main reason they don't exist is because thrusting weapons/attacks would be hard to utilize within Warframe. The game puts a heavy emphasis on dealing with groups of enemies instead of targeting one at a time, hence why every weapon uses unnaturally wide swings. Though that could make for good opportunity.

All melee weapons have a small degree of "auto-aim" that makes them less likely to outright miss a nearby target. This can be best seen when performing finishers, as the player will "home in" onto a vulnerable target. Thrusting spears could actually take this concept and ramp it up: Instead of using broad pre-scripted motions, spears instead could have a heavier auto-aim that primarily focuses on whatever the reticule is pointing at; increasing the accuracy of the weapon at the cost of being less crowd-oriented.

Being able to launch melee attacks to the reticle seems like a fun concept, I’m also thinking about how it would make it easier to attack flying drones and crawling infested, so that sounds even better too

    How about THROWABLE SPEARS?!

    Just like glaives + Javlok.

Actual melee weapon but has the same throw mechanic as the javlok on Hold E

I thought about suggesting throwable spears too, but it just doesn’t feel as unique to me as a spear charge would, I dunno, that’s just what I felt.

You have my spear, OP. Or you would, if this game had proper spears.

All I want is some stab action, none of this glaive nonsense. And maybe a proper stance that isn’t as awkward as Twirling Spire.

Exactly, twirling spire is just a weird stance for the polearms, doesn’t feel as stabby as I would like...and even then, most of the polearms in the game don’t even look like the stabby sort to me.

  5. We have our Long Slashy Sticks (Polearms), our Long Smacky Sticks (Staves), but where are our Long Stabby Sticks? The polearms and the staves are great weapons, but when I think of a long hafted weapon, it's hard to forget the classic spear (or pike in this case). Not only that but it would also complete the physical damage triad so you can carry a big stick for any occasion! Those infested keep swarming you like wasps? Sweep through them with your polearm! Those corpus shields and robots giving you a hard time? Smash through them with your staff! Is that grineer soldier's armor a little too thicc? Run them through with your pike! Actually now that I made that last sentence, it would be awesome if you could do a running attack where you just hold the pike up as you sprint and then just run your enemies down. I also feel like the charging attack would make up for the pike's lack of sweeping strikes.
