  1. It doesn't need to be on the ground. Make it a blade of pure energy that is emitted by the sentinel.

    I think it'd be interesting to see them on the ground instead of just hovering there?  I'm more or less interested in seeing what animations that could come out of this?

     

     

    No...

    Sentinels die extremely easily.

    Throwing it out into death would be horrible.

    Maybe yours does, but mine doesn't.  iv been playing Nekros, and solo play on Outter terminus, and my sentinel never dies.

  2. Sentinels are pretty cool looking out for their masters with their pew pew guns n abilities, but I want a Melee sentinel!

    It'd just be cool to have a little sentinel on the ground instead of hovering above your head, and have unique attack animations.

     

    Could have them as a counterpart to current sentinels? 

     

    -Melee versions-

    Shade: Weapon would be a Long Sword, and When near an unaware enemy will perform a stealth kill

    Dethcube: Weapon would be dual wield with high attack speed

    Wyrm: Knock back/stun with a heavy blunt melee weapon or performs jump attack to knock back/ stun enemies

    Carrier: Bladed heavy weapon, and can run really fast to gather loot, and bring back to master (instead of sucking it up)

    Dijin: would use something like the mire.

     

    I know, I know "Too many melee weapons!!!"

    but tbh it would be cool to see ground melee sentinels

     

    P.S. and yes I slacked on giving detailed abilities, but everything should be self explanatory.  Same abilities just different animations to fit a grounded sentinel?    

  3. So I come to forums to see if there's anything new iv missed out on, but all I see is people complaining..

    Majority of the people are complaining about drops, or RNG being F'd up.

     

    So I understand yeah some bugs may occur to mess with the drops, but when that isn't the case people are still complaining.

    Has anyone played an actual MMO before?  It takes months to get the best gear, and in this game you can get everything you want/need in a matter of maybe a week or so.

     

    People complaining the game is Pay to Win.  Well not really more like Pay to Shortcut.  I agree plat prices are outrageous, but you can get everything just the same.  So don't be lazy and actually invest some time into the game?

     

    My verdict is..

    To many casual gamers QQing till they get everything handed to them.

  4. I'm prob going to use all his abilities, Max redirection, and vitality, Focus, Flow, Streamline, and Equilibrium for his (3) ability.

     

    Not so sure about my choice for Focus though, was thinking continuity, or even stretch.  Shadows of the Dead last 30 sec at max , and focus allows you to summon 9 plus focus would buff his soul punch.  But continuity would make shadows, and terrify last longer?..

     

    What builds are other people coming up with? 

  5. The problem is the game has become a grindfest based on what you actually own, not on your skill or your preferences. Want to do defense? Get a Frost. Infested defense? Get a Vauban and Ember. No other frames are in demand thanks to this grinding.

     

    The problem is not that these frames have an easier time of doing those missions or setting records for reaching level 1 million on endless defense.

     

    Want to set the record for level 1 million? You MUST use a rocket launcher or plasma machine cannon.

     

    The problem is, old weapons are being outdated with every patch for no reason. Old frames have gone unbuffed and unbalanced. What happens when they stop releasing new content?

     

    I guess we'll all get bored and stop playing then.

     

    How many people do you know who can say they play WoW?

     

    How many of the same play LoL or have tried it. 

     

    Regardless of the cost to play WoW, WoW has a lot of this 'bigger weapons = more powerful = more happy players' and it didn't work out so well for them.

     

    LoL on the other hand releases game-breaking characters every few months but they immediately tone them back after a week or so, just to get everyone to buy the damn champ and abuse them.

     

    LoL also regularly nerfs and buffs characters to 'balance' the game. Cho Gath and Alistar have been around forever and they are still viable. Not to mention Warwick, whose lore has been retconned and hits like a train in S3. Their favorite champs remaining viable is what keeps LoL players in the game and not coming to Warframe.

    I was about to use WoW as an example in my post tbh

    saying how many people do u see using BC gear for pandaria raids.

     

    In WoW Tanks and Healers are in high demand, in Warframe Frames with amazing CC abilities are always in high demand.

    and no matter what Weapons will always become outdated, but since Warframe doesnt really have "gear"  (Helm, chest, boots, ect..) some frames should get a buff instead of a select few.

     

    And people will always eventually get bored with a game?  The only reason I keep playing warframe is because of their constant updates bringing something new.  

    This is a PvE game and it's going to require new content more frequently than some other games to keep it's players interested.

     

    And if u haven't noticed this game is nothing but grinding I don't really have a problem with it as much as grinding in WoW.  Grind xini for affinity, grind bosses for BPs, grind for materials, but some how DE has kept me entertained, and releasing that next weapon that I just feel like i have to have.  Sooooo it's a game just enjoy it?

  6. You are wrong. Every time they release a weapon there are tons of people clamoring over it, even if it isn't good. I very much doubt the Ogris would become unpopular if it were balanced with the Braton.

    I don't know about you but each weapon that comes out has it's own advantages.  and of course everyone is going to want to try it out to see if those "advantages" fit to their play style.

  7. The game seems pretty balanced to me.

    Of course with each new massive update old gear will be out dated?  It's just how it works.  If gear didn't become out dated then people would just stick to one set of weapons, and there wouldn't be that urge to get something better.  Then people would become bored with the game.

  8. @people saying Iron skin gets ripped off on Pluto def.

     

    What are u doing?  Just standing there not moving and just taking the shots?

    I go like 3 waves before having to reuse Iron skin

     

    I will admit the last 6 waves on a T3 Def is rough, but that's a T3 Def.

    Pluto isn't hard until wave 11+

    Longer answer:

     

    while i am not sure what kind of scaling does DE sticks to, the 1200 is can be destroyed quite fast at high level planets, focus tends to help a lot. 75 damage tradeoff doesn't sound appealing deal to me,

    iron skin already taunts enemies (try defense mission on solo and see if enemies will hit you instead of cryopod/generator).

    We are getting second frost here with these damage skills.

    I know Iron skin already generates threat, but i'm not exactly how it does tbh.  Does it only aggro a certain amount of enemies, or give u a higher threat to enemies u have damaged?  Iv solo'd xini to wave 15, and there's always a couple mobs heading for the pod, and ignoring me.  even on waves 1-5+

     

    Also the trade off for dmg absorb, for a dmg wouldn't be to bad.  in my opinion I wouldn't mind a nerf without a dmg buff because Iron skin now even on Pluto makes the game fairly easy.  Idk about how all other players feel, but even with this last patch supposedly increasing difficulty it still seems to easy to me.

    I can take a rank 2 rhino with just Iron skin through every mission easy.

    (iv polarized 4 times, and solo'd mission on pluto to rank up)

I personally like the damage absorb, and i really don`t like the spikes they look terrible, the chance of you running into a enemy as well is really low, since you could kill him from meters away, but if they revised they spikes and make them look better i think this would be a good change to the skill, but maybe 900 damage absorb max.

    I personally like the spikes my only complaint about them is when Iron skin wears off the spikes seems to stay.

    and Rhino is kinda the perfect Melee frame.  Most Rhino players Iv seen have that up close and personal play style (which I do enjoy myself) running into mobs of enemies cleaving away, blasting away with a shotgun.

  11. Reduce damage absorb at max from 1200 to 800, and enemies near u or that run into u take damage from the spikes.  Maybe 75 damage per second at max, and enemies damaged by the spikes are instantly taunted to u.

     

    75 damage at max rank because embers overheat does 100 at max rank.

    and Rhino is Tank?  so would make sense that it didn't do as much damage.  Plus the aggro feature would be nice again Rhino is Tank?

     

    Reduce the damage absorb because adding in a damage effect would make Iron skin a bit more over powered than what it would need to be.

  12. Tbh idk y people are complaining about the spikes.  I think it looks great now.

    My only problem is that when Iron skin wears off the "iron" effect disappears but the spikes stay.  The spikes are cool, and all, but they only fit with the whole armor effect, and not just themselves

  13. So when Thunderbolt procs it replaces your arrows damage rather it be higher, or lower with a base of 250 explosive damage, but when using split chamber does the 2nd arrow do full damage?

     

    My question: If the 1st arrow procs TB, and the 2nd does not.  Does the 1st arrows TB proc affect the 2nd arrows damage in any way?

     

    I don't use this mod anymore because bows crit a lot, and if TB procs what could have been a 6k crit will be 250 splash damage.

    However if the TB proc of one arrow does not affect the 2nd I might be more up to using it more.
