Before we get spectator mode we need a proper lobbies. Right now it is impossible to organize team vs team as the only way to control in which team players will join is to invite them one by one.

Since 18.5 we have no autorez in private games, which we can use for the host/spectator. Inviting players in the proper order aint a problem. That is what i asked them for, as a easy and fast bandaid to get something started until DE overhauls everything pvp. A real spectator mode, what youre probably talking about is indeed not top priority.

So please tell us a sugestion to atract players to conclave.

We already concluded what has to be done on DE's part. Dedicated servers, leaderboards, achievements, another gamemode like king of the hill, overhaul of ctc etc.

A month ago i did a strawpoll on interest in a conclave tournament with set rules and a neutral host and there has been quite some participation. Unfortuneately ive been very busy/exhausted the last weeks so i didnt finish some final preparations yet, but i hope ill get this finally done this weekend (praying). Tournaments, pvp guides approved/created by pro players, skilled entertaining plays , everything on Youtube, steam, reddit, here in the forums can gain us popularity. Last month i wrote 23 messages to different DE employees with the request to bring back permanent death (no autoressurection) in private games, so the neutral host can switch to player views. I might persuade myself here, but they actually enabled it in 18.5. Im pretty sure they really listen to us and are enthusiastic about conclave pvp and what we create of it.

Warframe pvp will most probably never be an esports (never say never) but even if it stays a niche game, it could atleast become a real nice insider's tip, depending on the community engagement. So many pvp games that are popular today started out being an arcade mode/mod/minigame and evolved because of a thriving community.

If you wanna join us, you can find us on the Discord which is the daily platform and the Steam Conclave Group where i want to gather any pvp related infos/yt channels/guides/spreadsheets etc as a work of reference.

Also I find it funny most players don't seem to know the names of the pvp maps. I personally don't at least, and most players I meet just refer to the different maps as "that one small corpus/1.0 one" or "(potentially offensive term here) map".

Although I like most maps I think a "blacklist" system would be great too. You just blacklist the maps you don't like and the game only throws you into such maps if there aren't any matches available other than the ones with such maps.

This is what i meant wouldnt work in our favor. If we can blacklist stuff before even queueing, we most probably will experience longer waiting times.

  5. Aso it doesnt make any sense that lowering the requirements for some skin or syandana would create interest in pvp. If one is totally new to pvp, but wants a certain cosmetic only achievable by pvp, he will assess if he likes pvp or not long before whirlwind rank. But on the contrary if he wants that cosmetic so badly that he pushes up to typhoon he might even find that he acquired some skills and might have fun now in pvp.

do you understand, they'll just won't join PVP again after they recognize this. Thats why WF's PVP grow so S#&$ty.

It have a pattern: New item in PVP > players flooding in and try to get them> success / nope, standings are so hard to gain> 90% of them left PVP

Now i gotcha. But youre wrong. The players joining pvp for the skins arent pvp'ers. PvP'ers do it for the challenge, for being superior, for their ego. Skins, Customizations, everything to show off is just the icing on the cake. Something to say: Well done, Sir, take this as reward for your exceptional skills. Im pretty sure, i do speak here for the majority of pvp'rs.

The people you are talking about are either gone once they got their piece of skin or they are too frustrated about getting owned, till they come to the forums complaining.

Most of the PvE players are attracted to the new addition of cosmetics in PvP and I thought they only aim for the top mastery ranking (Typhoon) without purchasing any rare mods or having the knowledge about how exactly they should engage to different play styles above MR2. There needs to be change regarding the balance of the conclave in order to retain more potential players in the future.

PvE players who only aim for Typhoon because of skins and dont put any effort in learning pvp or optimizing their loadout arent

Also mobility stats themself arent indicating nothing, some high skilled players use air thrusters which puts them highest at 0.9, others will be at 1.2 , sure. However, they will just dominate with their overall skills.

And what Phasedragon said. Only higher popularity can introduce matchmaking. The RC is only for beginners, so they arent scared off right away, and it feels less p2win (which ofc it isnt).

Idk if there is any info shown, once youre mr3, that youre in the big league now.

so i wanna to say is if they kill on one but put 15 mins in a match, should they get 0 standing after the match? :P

Do i get the prime parts i want every time i jump into a mission? PvP handles this even better as you have influence on the outcome not just pure rng.

The headshot challenge is 4 headshot kills and can be done over several matches.

  9. Wow this was hard to read. Even Google translator didnt know what you mean. Something along the lines of standing gain rate being too low and no pve'r who wants to get the skins, has the actual skills to complete the daily challenge. Sooo they aren't encouraged to play again.

First i wouldnt insinuate every pve player lacks the skill to complete the challenges. They aren't THAT hard to achieve. If i go play pve for a new weapon i want i have to dedicate the time needed to it and probably even learn some encounter mechanics.  Second i dont know why its so hard for you to find a match in team annihilation or ctc if its not 3am in the respective region.

I used to have a good feeling on how to hit but after the hipfire accuracy nerfs it's more RNG and less skill. Of course it's still heavily skill related but that RNG aspect is annoying as hell and taking away from the fun of the weapon. Doesn't matter if I missed or got a kill if the arrow didn't hit where I thought it would, it still sucks.

    26 minutes ago, Lordricker said:

Ito be honest the amount of arrows missed when i thought it should hit is probably pretty close to the amount of arrows that hit when it should have missed. but like naftal said that takes away the gratification of it with "well i killed him but i shouldnt have" or "i missed but that should have hit" running throught your head

I do understand your point but as its meant to be a sniping/scoping weapon, you cant blame the rng of hipfiring for taking away any gratification. If you hipfire this weapon you´ll have to deal with the natural chance of not hitting or getting in a lucky strike.  i just tested firing about 100 arrows into a wall from various distances and while aiming/hipfiring and the hipfired arrows's spread stayed in the charginc circle up to the range where you would scope in most likely anyways. They drift off at a max of maybe 5-6° degrees.

If you think it doesnt fit the game`s pace or dont like quickscoping, the only way i can imagine it could be 100 accuracy on hipfiring would be noscoping aka no crosshair at all. but that wouldnt work well with abilities.

  11. 8 minutes ago, Lordricker said:

you dont have to worry about your speed when shooting projectiles only the other persons. If that kind of momentum physics was in the game then no one would hit anything with projectiles or they would be slaughtered while trying to shoot standing still.

true. what i had in thought by own movement is placing the reticle at the right point.

  12. The actual formula isnt explained anywhere. If you want to go into this much detail, youll have to ask the devs.

But the formula atleast contains the elements distance= D, fire rate =F and accuracy= A plus recoil = R.

In case of your ballistica im pretty sure accuracy 4 is used for firing four arrows in rapid sucession, which makes totally sense with recoil etc in mind. That doesnt mean its totally inaccurate, its just not pinpoint. The tooltips for many weapons are lacking proper display of accuracy values, in this case charged arrow accuracy is missing.

How is accuracy not comparable? A single Furis hipfireshot with 15.4 has a bit higher chance of not hitting the reticle pinpoint than the daikyu with 16.7

And all this doesnt even matter, because to consistently hit with the bow you have to get the feeling for distances, your movement speed, the target's movement speed and direction and arrow release delay + travel time.

And to me not being 100% accurate on hipfiring with a oneshotting bow makes totally sense. I just dont have the opinion it wouldnt work the game's pace. To me the daikyu is in a balanced spot. Only lag is killing it.

  13. Accuracy describes a weapon's ability to land shots close to where it's aimed, and how close to its reticle will multiple shots land over a given period of time. While some weapons—including full-automatic weapons—are capable of landing shots directly onto the center of their aiming reticle upon their first shot, a weapon's accuracy value determines the chance of these shots spreading away from the reticle: the lower the accuracy, the higher the chance of the shot straying off the reticle. Consequently, accuracy determines the weapon's shot deviation over multiple shots in a given period of time: a high accuracy weapon will see multiple successive shots land close to one another, while a low accuracy weapon will see the same shots spread out further apart in different directions.

The highest possible accuracy value attainable in-game is 100, with lower values denoting reduced accuracy.

A weapon's accuracy value generally becomes important the higher its rate of fire becomes, as the weapon's successive shot grouping worsens the faster it fires. For example, while the Vulkar has a lower listed accuracy value (13.3) to theGrakata (28.6), the Vulkar can consistently land each one of its shots at longer range due to its low firing speed, while the Grakata's high fire rate makes its shots spray out at longer ranges. However, a Grakata is capable of landing shots as precisely as the Vulkar if slowly fired one shot at a time. In general, a weapon's listed accuracy value is more important for weapon groups with high fire rates, like assault rifles and machine pistols, while less important for slow-firing weapons likebows or sniper rifles.

Accuracy also affects multishot characteristics. The lower the weapon's accuracy, the more likely each projectile will be off-center. Equipping mods that decrease accuracy can make weapons with low projectile velocity, like the Torid, very difficult to use at distance.

Certain weapons like the Flux Rifle possess perfect accuracy (an accuracy value of 100) where all of their shots land directly on the reticle regardless of range or fire rate, while other weapons like the Ignis disregard accuracy as a mechanic due to their unique firing characteristics, capable of hitting enemies regardless of how they're aimed.

Accuracy cannot be normally improved, although three mods exist that can increase accuracy, often with a requirement to do so. These include Guided Ordinance for primary weapons (besides bows/snipers), Narrow Barrel for shotguns, andTargeting Subsystem for pistols, all of which require the player to hit an enemy and the accuracy bonus will only apply when aiming, for a limited time. Tainted Shell also exists for shotguns as the only mod that increases accuracy with no prerequisite to do so, nor a time limit.

    SpreadEdit

The term spread is used to describe how "wide" the blast of a shotgun can be. Spread is not fundamentally different from accuracy, however. As above, bullets fired from single-round weapons will angle away from the direct center of the reticle, and the accuracy value of a weapon reflects how wide that angle can be. As one rapidly fires more bullets from that weapon, assuming imperfect accuracy, the bullets take random paths from the muzzle within a cone centered around the reticle.

Shotguns, as well as any guns with multishot mods, can fire one of their pellets directly centered, with all other pellets taking random trajectories from the muzzle within the spread cone. Reducing accuracy increases the width of the cone, and decreasing spread decreases the width of the cone. Accuracy and spread are inverse descriptions of the same underlying mechanic.

  14. Ofc they are comparable, accuracy stats are exactly defined. 100 accuracy is 100%

The highest possible accuracy value attainable in-game is 100, with lower values denoting reduced accuracy.

    from the wiki

With 16.8 or 12.4(with mod) the chance for spreading away is very high, especially for a singleshot weapon. It was never designed to be used with hipfiring, because of balance reasons. Either aim in or quickscope.

Else you could stay hypermobile while oneshotting everyone. quickscoping is the fastest/most accurate way of shooting.

  15. hm. i just have a different opinion here. i think it fits the pace perfectly fine.

    2 hours ago, Naftal said:

Using the mod is optional and even if it still has good accuracy, it's not pinpoint. The arrows won't fly where you want reliably. Your performance is affected by RNG.

But here youre talking about aimed shots with "good accuracy"? Because with the mod hipfiring is even crappier at 12.4 accuracy which cant be described as good.

I think we just should learn from this guy:

  16. i dont think bows should have pinpoint accuracy on hipfire, there would be no more reason to aim at all, if you get really good at hipfiring then (and that is possible), it would get too strong paired with the current mobility. Quickscoping till the arrow is released does seem to grant 100 accuracy though. Hipfire is meant for close range only anyways, where a small drift doesnt matter.

@Naftal, why do you think there is rng involved? You are talking about aimed shots with 100 accuracy, right? On aimed the shots (of the daikyu) are absolutely pinpoint.

  18. Im on Warframe neither 24/7 as im working fulltime, have kids and more hobbies. Also i didnt insult you directly or accused you, because youre right, i dont know you., i described pictorially how these requests look like. Conclave is this game´s stepchild, but there are some avid and dedicated players here and i just dont want it to be meaningless.

And so what? You havent got much time to play? Whats the problem with you getting the new skins a few months later? They won't be gone by then.

  19. ok hey im a pve player , i want tah stuffz from teh pvp minigame raight naow, i dont care for pvp player´s content, just dont make me waste mah time for too long, cuz i gotta move to da next game soon.

Sorry, but thats what it sounds like. I dont want to be offensive, but it makes me somewhat angry how many players want stuff as fast as possible, every game/content should be like fastfood, easy to consume and spit out. Move to the next big thing eversearching for the ultimate gratification.
