And yet Braton and Lato Vandal came back, items once exclusive to CB players. Early Prime Access cosmetics were once exclusive, too! And yet those came back with the Vault. Not even two months ago some of the cash-only supporter packs came back - to the market for plat no less! Early deluxe skins were once time-limited, and then they were made permanent market cosmetics with the addition of Rhino Palatine. Twitch Prime/Prime Gaming cosmetics were exclusive and some can now be bought at Varzia. It's happened over and over and over again for so many once-exclusive things already - why can't it happen for these?

Braton and Lato Vandal were never promised to remain exclusive.  They were given out for the being in the closed beta, which included players who hadn't purchased the Founders packs.  The Skana Prime, Lato Prime, and Excalibur Prime. along with badges, emblems, and sigils for Founders were the exclusives that DE promised to never bring back, and they never have.

Everything else you mentioned I'd wager was never claimed to be a one-time sale.  Not knowing when/if something will come back is not the same as DE stating it never will.

Option 1: make a small number of selfish people platinum big-mad that the peasants and newbies are allowed to touch their Heirloom™ Special Big Boy Badges.

Option 2: make the entire rest of the community angry for the rest of all time.

    🤔

Man, there's just no good answer!

I hear what you're saying, but no amount of this will get DE to bring the anniversary stuff back.

They're true to their word.  They said never.  They committed to missing out on more money down the road (even just by leaving it purchasable at the exorbitant price), and now these things are never coming back.

And I'm not gate keeping something I have.  We'll just have to learn to live without that Special, Super Necessary, INEEDIT INEEDIT Big Boy Badge.

  3. Dante is an extremely powerful frame with wide application.  Having LOS is reasonable.

No one says Mesa is worthless because of LOS.

You want to LOS Thermal Sunder?  Go for it.  Saryn?  I think spores are supposed to be airborne, but whatever, she would still be good.  Equinox is nowhere close to a meta nuker anymore, but if it makes you feel better.

Uhhh...that is not what CC is made for, and this is why the community isn't doing very well with explaining their true issue with CC.

CC in plenty of other games does fine with mini-elite enemies being affected in some way, somehow.  You're having trouble understanding why CC frames having defacto deficits in their kit, by design -- versus other frames without that disadvantage -- is a problem.

Frames like Banshee and Nyx are jokes, with usage rates reflecting that.  Limbo and Vauban are increasingly worse off.  May as well give them each a new version of Mesmer Skin, since you believe that it's the pinnacle of active gameplay.

Truth is that it's not a CC player's problem to figure out how DE should be detecting AFK play, but if all CC is inherently incompatible with DE's capability to combat AFK issues or "lazy" gameplay, yank it.

Let's all be glorious non CC frames.

  5. Since CC only affects regular enemies, and intended gameplay is instantly wiping regular enemies from existence, they may as well remove CC from the game.  It's not there to make any difference, it's just a way to inconvenience some of the AI until you look at it while hammering E, pressing 1-4, or holding left click.

Replace all CC abilities with overguard and damage enhancers and this game can reach its perfected form.

  6. Anything that costs less kuva in the end won't happen, as it's one of the only major reasons late game players buy resource boosters.  Something that causes people to roll rivens less AND prevents them from ever being re-rolled again?  Not likely, would impact DE's bottom line too much.

The only way I see them working "value fixing" (e.g. keep one or more of your positive stats while rerolling a stat, negative or positive) into rivens is if it costs 200,000 Kuva to do so, or if it involves a premium market purchase of 50 plat each time.  😂

Tigris Prime performs better than Sancti Tigris.

The best way to mod has changed, or rather, shotguns are now like any other weapon. In most cases it's now more effective to balance your stats rather than stack up on a single stat (e.g. status).

Also, corrosive procs cap out at 10 now, so if you're modding for corrosive procs, you only want sufficient status chance to reliably get those 10 procs, anything more is wasted potential.

Either way, Tigris Prime is now so far behind Vaykor Hek it's not even a competition.  Which is fine, weapons trade places in rebalancing.

What I don't get is people trying to reinterpret a foul-up on DE's part as a "new definition".
Explicitly from the patch notes: Shotguns as a special case means we have buffed the Status Chance of all Shotguns by x3 or greater.

Guys, you can't change to the "new definition" that some are defending in the thread while meeting DE's claim they have tripled the base status of the old shottys.  It's either an error that shotgun status math isn't working properly, or it was a lie on DE's part.  There are no alternatives.

You can roll out of a banish, if this happens then just don't follow behind the Limbo

    So we're at:

    • Don't be near limbo players to avoid incidental banish.
    • Block players who are deliberately banishing you.
    • Use operator mode to avoid Limbo screwing up terminal objectives.
    • Switch to only warframe powers or melee when enemies are getting stuck on cata's edge.
    • Leave the vicinity of any objective or any arbitrary place Limbo decides to drop cataclysm if you want to be able to use your primary or secondary weapons on anything X distance away.

Got it.  That doesn't sound like a design problem at all.  The preceding sentence is sarcasm.

Look, Volt and Frost can also shield people at a whim but magically don't crap up terminals or break ranged performance of other players weapons from within.  Frost's bubbles are less offensive by usually being on objectives, where you are likely to be, and permitting people to fire out to their heart's contentment.  People would be irked if the typical Frost player ran 20m out from every objective and dropped a semicircle of bubbles to block all incoming and outgoing damage (apart from enemies already inside) under the guise of "helping".

Limbo players don't seem to realize they're only slightly less irritating than max range Magnetize bubble spam (which still miraculously doesn't interfere with objectives), and that they're way more common.

It's not your fault DE designed the frame that way, but there's some problems DE can and ought to fix.

  9. Nova Prime. Zenurik.  Quick Thinking, on her energy pool, is partial immortality.  Combined with her seldom-used first ability for 90% raw damage reduction to her health pool.  And the ability to slow the entire map to 1/4th its normal speed, simultaneously making it take double damage.  The number of enemies not affected by her 4 can be counted on one hand.  Virtually every boss in the game bites it.

Primary?  Tigris Prime.  There are very few things that won't be annihilated by that gun.  And one shot into Nova's 2 can wipe a 30m diameter of all trash mobs and most not-trash mobs, dealing something like 50,000 pure rad damage.

Secondary?  A stripper.  Of armor.  And/or a shredder.  Twin Kohmak, Synoid Gammacor, Euphona Prime (secondary fire turns off armor, and atomizes at point blank range, and knocks large groups of fools onto the floor at far range).

Melee? Two choices.  Stacking a boatload of status with secondary makes Glaive Prime with Condition Overload a hellspawned monster, or if you already think you have enough damage at this point and want some utility, Jat Kittag scales better than most, and is capable of making everything around you leave.

The only three places DE has yet invented where this setup won't excel are: archwing, eidolons, and any place where you want trash mobs flooding in faster (low end survival, or defense to speed up the waves, in either case Speedva has got your back).

  10. If the lowest price on warframe.market has 5 or 6 sellers at virtually the same price, it's not a crime to see if the seller in trade chat will be price competitive.  Believe me, the buyer isn't interested in wasting their own time talking to a toxic seller who freaks out when it's pointed out to them their price is way out of line with the rest of the market.  It's the seller's right to refuse sale to literally anyone, and to not sell often -- or at all -- if their price is too high, but if they're going to QQ on the forums about it, they shouldn't expect much sympathy.  Just my opinion on the matter.

  11. They literally aren't the same Opticor, and even the text identifying the weapon and rank are clearly from different builds of the game.

OP hasn't responded to completely reasonable requests for more information, or to the solutions others have given (unequip dragon key)

My bet is that this is an attention-'horin, grandstanding forum post.  The sooner people let it die, the better.  OP is, at best, mistaken, and at worst trying to let the forum take itself for a ride.  There was no nerf.  Guy is wrong and/or confused and/or trolling.

  12. Tested this extensively tonight.  As far as I can tell, there's no practical difference between 40% power strength and 285% power strength.  Which is fine, being able to push up to 85% health damage reduction is extremely powerful!  Thanks for the thread!

If I am reading right, those will be arcanes on operators. Wouldn't that mean that they would only effect operators then?

They could also be arcanes for frames, I guess, unless DE wants to do away with those.  Either way, they only said Focus was now about the operator, arcanes clearly don't have to be operator-effect-only since DE themselves just said they would look at moving the old passives into them.

  14. I don't post on the forums often (at all really) because I'm usually too busy playing the game.  Reading this thread makes me wonder how some people are playing this game.

I have used Zenurik plenty.  Especially on Nova.  I've also not used it plenty.  I've practically forgotten about it for weeks at a time.

Anyone who is pretending like it's critical to play the game, that it cripples frames without it, is either delusional or really needs to be more selective with their power spam.  Someone posted that people won't use Nova's 1 anymore.  Even with infinite energy rolling out of Zenurik, I didn't use it, because it was and still is JUNK.  If it were improved, maybe I would use it instead of her 2 sometimes.  You have to be looking to throw away energy to bother pressing the button, it's terrible.  And people won't use Banshee's 3?  I don't know where to start.  I definitely won't deny some frames' abilities need to be fixed, but Energy Overflow is obscuring even that.

The only times I've felt starved for energy are when I'm fighting at a high level, lots of enemies, and start becoming overly reliant on frame abilities.  When I start a match I'm not waiting for the 5 crutch.  It's really OK to have a low energy pool for a while, that requires build-up and management, or modding.  Not the end of the world.

Zenurik is a wasteful overabundance of energy.  It trivializes the energy mechanic.  It wasn't a mere solution to energy hungry frames; it enables wanton ability use even on demanding frames.

If you're concerned about energy having value and being a resource that isn't used to spam legitimately crap abilities like Nova's 1, may as well get rid of energy requirements and efficiency altogether, since they're slowing down countinuous spam of all four abilities on every warframe.  And God knows, needing to group with at least one other person, and someone having to play harrow or trinity if you want effectively unlimited energy is a bridge too far.

While we're at it, charge time and reload are major negatives for my Opticor, could we get a new focus that almost completely mitigates those things?

EDIT: Maybe Primed Streamline could become a thing to make efficiency easier to have?

  16. Twin Kohmak has problems.  It's pretty darn good as long as the enemy is large enough to soak up the random recoil and five feet away from you.

Given the substantial recoil and the accuracy adjustment, would have been more reasonable for the falloff to start at 20 m...  Only half the pellets are going to hit by then, anyway.  The weapon is wholly ineffective at medium range even against high level fodder.
