Plenty of players purchase plat all the time, like me, i have already spent 500€ and will continue to do so :D

People will only trade their items for platinum if they're going to spend the platinum on something. No point selling items to stockpile plat if you don't actually have a use for the plat. Even if it's spent indirectly (selling an item for plat, then buying another item from another player for plat) someone's going to sink it.

It can't be generated in-game by itself, so there's not going to be a growing surplus of it.

Those mustaches are a temporary event item so no worries about that. (That's a shame imo ^^)

 

As for the syndicate sigils you can't sell them because once you do you can't earn reputation points anymore, meaning you can't buy them back, effectively excluding you forever from the syndicate mechanics. That's why you can sell any non-syndicate related sigils.

there is an easy solution for that, lets say if you have 1 sigil left for said syndicate and you tried to sell it, the game wouldn't allow it because you only have one.
