  1. hey guys long vet of Warframe here love the game played plenty and love the way the devs consistently innovate and run there business.I cannot say enough about Warframe and how much of a fan I am. and the happiness it has brought me

I am actually here today because I wanted to throw a cool idea out to the community and see how you guys grasp it.

So the whole premise of this is a combo weapon. I'm not talking street fighter here, but i'm talking like a combination between your primary and secondary so hear me out for a second so I can make it make sense.

if it was considered and created it would not be for existing weapons obviously or it wouldn't be a new weapon type. the idea came to me a bit ago when they introduced weapons that could switch modes like semi auto to auto or to burst exct..

The premise behind the weapon is simple and meant to keep that powerful feeling of Warframe. Possibly enhance it but maybe a bit more of a risk reward to it specially on sorties and similar areas of the game were enemy's do much higher damage.

So looking at all other shooting games, I noticed that most of them have really heavy guns like Gatling guns various launchers and such many are held from underhand. Now Warframe has heavy weapons but they lack the feel for this in my opinion. I remember watching a video and reading some articles a while back that Warframe is built in such a way for more speedy play and that would make enormous sense that they wouldn't have these heavy underhanded sluggish weapons that would just slow players down and take that speed element away. so me being the problem solver I am I wanted to see if I could suggest something to solve this dilemma and possibly suggest an add to warframes already cool variety of gear.

The combo weapon would require you to make a secondary weapon and primary weapon that are specifically made for each other.

ill use existing heavy weapons as examples for simplicity's sake

say you have the opticore it fires a huge powerful laser and you still can dash fast keep that movement up charge it up and BAM! lets say you make a weapon similar to it with its combo weapon lets say for simplicity's sake its combo sidearm it is a normal laser that you just hold and it fires a constant beam. Now here is where the magic comes it with combo weapons. Alone they are just like any other weapon.

However, when you have both equipped you take the middle mouse button that they use to change modes of other guns and when you press it you will COMBINE the sidearm and primary weapons into a super weapon. the combination can be fast so you could dash dash fire normally have a window of opportunity and combine the weapons into that sluggish super heavy weapons and say instead of charging this opticore variant it is a straight consistent BFLaser beam that winds up its charge when held underhand and just fires a super powerful laser beam that when modded desecrates everything in its path. the downside and risk comes from the heaviness and knowing the correct time to transform it so you wont die from being an easy target when swarmed by enemy's. You can only walk while firing and jog when not firing sprinting is disabled and when you want to jettison fast like a space ninja again you just quickly combo out of the weapon and resume normal play.

I think this could add some super cool spice to how you play on pretty much all modes and maps in the game while keeping the core values of the game intact, and would be an awesome addition to the game.

anyways enough with my chatter what do all of YOU think? What would you change, add, and keep the same if everyone like this and knows were a suggestion thread mite be maybe someone could be kind enough to send this to development. I honestly believe this could improve Warframe and possibly even open up Warframe to a wider audience of players who like that sort of heavy weapon all while staying true to its own core values. let me know what you think hopfully some traction gets on this I would at least think it would be an interesting topic to talk about.
