  1. Hey guys,
so first off, I've been playing around with and enjoying khora and her current kit, and I reckon with a couple of tweaks to her current abilities she could be amazing.

There are some obviously needed fixes/tweaks, i.e. hit reg with her 1, more consistency with her 2 (sometimes enemies just don't get stunned), less rag dolling with her 4, etc etc.

Aside from these, myself and a couple of other players were spit balling some ideas for additions/changes to her current kit (obviously these aren't necessarily balance ideas):

    1. Whipclaw:
     * Make this change with her 'stance', i.e. in attack mode, it forces a slash proc (hunter command + scaling/more useful damage), in defense it disarms, in heal it life steals, maybe if an ally is hit they are healed?
     * Add a 'combo' like atlas has, where first 2 hits are to a specific target, impact proccing and the 3rd hit is an AOE spin or horizontal swipe, potentially knocking enemies to the ground.

    2. Ensare:
     * Aoe snare, it just hits the initial target and then "explodes" in chains drawing everyone nearby in.
     * Snare trap, if not aimed at an enemy, it places a 'snare trap' at the targeted location, lasts for a while (maybe as long as the cat atm).
     * Whipclaw doesn't end the stun (this was already commented on).
     * Have the current ensare functionality, but if the snared target is whipped, it has the effect of the AOE snare mentioned above.
     * Whip claw mode, if the target is whipped, the claw effect (i.e. bleed or disarm) is applied to all ensnared enemies - if on heal mode, the heal will also heal allies in an AOE.

    3. Venari + stance change:
     * Venari as a passive and works with the hunter mods (again, this has been commented on also)
     * Venari's damage is slash based and they can proc sharpened claws during their special attack.
     * Possibly have hold 3 for a stance switch, make way for a different ability?
     * Command: Tapping 3 will issue a command to Venari, i.e. move/attack these hostiles or target this snare trap, give Venari a buff during this i.e. damage or armor stripping, this buff could also vary with stance (but I feel like adding too many stance change effects would convolute her).

    4. Strangledome:
     * Keep this, don't make an exalted whip (personally I'm not a fan of exalted weapons, and IMO the 'attack' function of the exalted whip is fulfilled by her 1).
     * Have a visual effect for enemies that are alive, i.e. have the arcing electricity/energy pulsing through the enemies OR alternatively have enemies that die inside get sliced up and fall.
     * Finisher damage? They are being strangled after all, but probably want this ability to be focused on CC not damage.
     * Whip claw - when hitting the dome, all enemies entangled are hit.
     * Whip claw buff - using whip claw on the dome will give a buff (note that it only cares about the stance of the whip that hit it, not your current stance) to anyone inside the dome, attack giving a damage/firerate/speed buff, protect gives damage reduction/armor and heal increases the health of those inside (i.e. +250 hp) or just a slow heal over time.

One thing that I think would be cool to see is a degree of build diversity, I find with her current kit, you dont really need/want str, so you can dump it for duration and range. I'd personally like to effectively build say a damage khora based around her whip and ordering attacks with venari, or instead build a CC khora focused on duration and range.

  2. Ivara Prowl + Daikyu Bug.

Description: Ivara's Prowl treats the Daikyu as a 'loud' weapon, so it will uncloak you when you fire, whereas with the other bows (such as Artemis and Dread) do not uncloak you.

    Can you reproduce: Yes

    How:

    1. Equip Ivara and a Daikyu

    2. Go into a mission and use Prowl

    3. Fire Daikyu while cloaked and voila.

  3. Why not just have it as her 'passive' instead of a full ability, say even stealth kills on targets give a drop of ammo for your currently equipped gun and X amount of credits or more xp than normal (I know about the 30s stealth affinity bonus, but still)? You could give it synergy with an ability that say puts all enemies in set radius to sleep/immobilize them opening them to 'stealth finishers' (apparently her poison generator/pouch is important to her build, and hey, poison doesn't necessarily have to kill, it could just as well immobilize enemies or put them to sleep).

Personally, I hope her kit revolves around being a stealthy hunter, stalking down her enemies and being rewarded for doing so.

  4. If he were to have a life drain effect, I'd prefer it to just be an instant ranged (possibly even conic AoE) attack, not a melee stance- while it might match his polarities, it doesn't match his stats or his real intent as a pet frame.

    True, again, just a suggestion.

Just thinking about it, he kind of has 'life drain' through his desecrate (seriously 90% time I get health orbs).

I feel like if the priority system were to be implemented AND Soul Punch increased the target's threat to Shadows, then that would probably be a bit much for Soul Punch to do.

Yeah I guess it is a bit too much for a spammable 25 energy ability - I'd just like to see some more 'utility/synergy' come from his abilities (like the armor debuff from soul punch, albeit not much, still adds a bit of use to the ability), having said that, I do have to say, his abilities are nearly all equally effective throughout the whole of the game (aside from damage from soul punch)

It would make sense- even if their powers were wholly technological in origin- for the Tenno to play up superstitions against their enemies. Honestly, I'm not sure even the Tenno know one way or the other.

I'm okay with having pseudo-scientific explanations for Warframe powers with much darker, more mystical aesthetics, ie stealing souls, exhaling swarms of flies or calling forth solid shadows. It befits a shinobi's methods of psychological warfare.

Fair enough point - makes sense I guess, after all, Tenno =/= human, and Nekros is the 'fear' warframe, more adapted to psychological warfare - explaining how Nekros appears a bit more 'ceremonial' in appearance.

  5. Is Nekros a 'plague and misfortune' themed warframe or a 'death' based one exactly?

If he is supposed to be a death based 'necromancer' of sorts, then IMO insects wouldnt fit too well (feel free to prove me wrong), something such as Nekro draining souls from corpses/the living providing 'nourishment' (who wouldnt eat a big box of ammo and some blue orbs for breakfast?) would be more fitting - given this, maybe enemies afflicted will drop loot for every (1/4, 1/3 or 1/2) health they lose while afflicted (due to being 'soul drained' why not make them have a DOT placed on them?), and corpses will cough up some more loot after say 1 seconds or so (needs some time to 'draw out the soul'?)

  6. Now, this is all opinion, and I have not read through all of these pages but:

In my opinion, Nekros is a necromancer frame - he should focus specifically on manipulating the dead through his 'powers', I dont think 'nanobots' should be used (both for desecrate and for an explantion for shadows of the dead), why do we need an explantion any way? necromancey would be closer to magic than science, something more befitting IMO would be say "Nekros feeds of the souls of the dead, drawing sustanence from their lifeless husks" (energy/health? dosn't really explain ammo etc however)

I like the idea of soul punch adding 'priority' souls, however, just a suggestion, why not (idk through what means) the more 'souls' you have, the more damage soul punch does and cost less energy, as if you're using a soul itself to attack, not attacking the soul (if that makes any sense xD)

Bit off topic (an I apologise for going so off topic), a cool ability IMO would of been something along the lines of being toggleable.

Nekros, goes all melee (can still use powers),with increased movement speed (and melee damage?), every kill he gets would regen a slight amount of health or energy and amplify his soul punch ("drawing power from the dead")? Maybe even have his model being slightly hunched with a 'shadowy' cloak on his back - very fitting to the necromancer/reaper theme IMO, and would make nekros unique in that he could survive off his abilities, given he is an 'end-game' frame a change of pace would be good to those with lvl 30, potatoed, formaed everything.

EDIT: ^^^^^ could work when terrify is active/last for its duration???

    Anyway, just my 2 cents.

  7. Being able to  some form of combo would be good, even something as simple as killing an enemy with a charged/crit melee will make the next attack a crit.

EDIT: Bit off topic, but make some reason to use longswords over dual or heavy - being able to more effectively perform martial arts perhaps?

  8. Another issue is their auto ban of accounts 'using' hacks/cheats, I understand that they need it, but it is a bit too sensitive to say the least.

(I was banned for no reason till 2035 after trying to play U8 for the first time)

I am aware nothing I say or do can prove my innocence, but nothing can prove my guilt either - I sent a ticket to DE (roughly 3 days ago) and its in their hands now, so no need to rage on the forums IMO, introducing an auto ban was bound to have issues, but after all the game is in beta.

  9. Ive been banned aswell, after downloading update 8 and trying to play it.

What happened though, was when I tried to begin a mission, it faded to black (as normal) but then reappeared at the mission select screen.

Figuring it was just a bug, I tried to log out, when I did so it displayed a 'please wait' while logging out (odd as I'd never had it before), left it for a while, then gave up waiting (shouldnt take more than 30mins to log out) and killed it via task manager, when attampting to log back in again, I was told I was suspended till 2035 (yay....).

A few of my buddies and my brother have also had this happen to them, we have all submitted tickets, but they are taking quite a while to get processed (so far its been somehting like 40+ hours at least), I assume this is just because of a mass amount of bugs with the new update.
