  1. I have a ton of space. The backup is so that I don't have to re-download. Copy-pasting most of the files would save me a few days of downloading. My space issue was because it was going to my tiny SSD. My other drives have S#&$ from like a decade back on them that I haven't taken the time to sort through, and I still have 781GB free on my storage drive. lol I'd already gone through 90% of the trouble by the time I got to this forum. Came here hoping there'd be a quicker fix for the registry. The remaining % was mostly cleaning out my registry which I would have done whether or not I want to reinstall. I do enjoy Warframe when it's not being Bugframe, but this is some next level bugS#&$. Just like I enjoyed Smite until it forced me to reinstall the game for a bunch of consecutive patches, until I said "nope, I'm done with that" and moved on to heroes of the storm. But I don't have anything to move-on to. I love the shooter plus caster style gameplay of warframe, but there aren't many games that do it well. Overwatch is my go-to right now, but there's no modding characters in Overwatch.

  2. Haven't decided whether to reinstall yet... Still keeping my backup just in case, but after removing every last Bugframe registry key one by one, for two separate installations, I'm hesitant about putting it back on my computer... At the very least I'll wait for a couple patches to drop so they can fix the bug that caused this, and avoid MORE junk registry keys.

  3. I've put this much effort into it so far, so I'd feel like I wasted all this time if i didn't just finish fixing this. But I definitely see your point. Buggy as hell, and the devs aren't doing much about it. I agree that they should be working to fix this kind of thing rather than trying to add new content faster than people can acquire it. And #wtfDE don't F*** with my registry. It's bad enough that the game has filled my registry with junk keys, but the uninstaller did absolutely nothing and said that warframe was already uninstalled, when there are two copies of it on my computer now.

  4. I believe I had the same issue... You're not gonna like my answer though. I had steam popping up with "install warframe" so I went into the steam directory and ran the launcher from there. After a couple failed downloads I realized that Bugframe had taken it upon itself to change its install directory to my C:\ drive, in my appdata folder. The reason it was giving me the "not enough hard drive space" message was because I have a 64GB SSD which is mostly full from windows itself, and Bugframe was trying to download another 16GB onto it. After the failed downloads and the mostly complete final download, it's cost me approximately 30GB of bandwidth and 2-3 days and nights worth of downloading. And I still haven't gotten it back to how it was before. I looked through my registry and it appears that it has gone and changed a bunch of registry keys to my appdata folder and completely separated it from the steam install. -_____-

Once Bugframe gets to a point where it's no longer finding new S#&$ to download (almost there I think... I was able to log in, but all my settings were gone and now 1/4 of my boot drive is Bugframe) my plan is to first back up the whole folder where the downloads have been going. Uninstall completely. Hopefully it'll get rid of all the junk registry entries. I'm going to make damn sure everything Bugframe related is eradicated from my registry. Reinstall, then stop the download and replace it with the up to date, backed up version.

In your case, i'd recommend skipping the downloading phase, backing up your Bugframe from steam, reinstalling, then moving the files back to where they were. But I can't guarantee that'll work, because I haven't done it myself yet. I'm still worried that uninstall will miss the keys that caused this issue and I'm gonna have to break out the advanced regedit and delete all Bugframe related keys manually.

    Wish me luck...

  5. Originally I was considering using the name Helios, or Erebus, or Athena, but people have already created concept warframes with those names. I decided on Minerva because she was a god of magic and that seems like the best explaination for this concept (better than a sun bubble or darkness bubble). I started with the idea of a nullifier boss enemy, then got to thinking that it would work incredibly well as a warframe. The idea is, you use a nullifier bubble instead of shields and all your abilities would be centered around using the bubble tactically. The bubble could be attached to an owl sprite because of Minerva's association with the owl. Minerva herself would be styled much like the way Athena is portrayed in Greek mythology, except less like a warrior, and more like a battlemage. An Athena skin would be quite fitting however.

Lore: The Minerva frame was created by a prodigy after her parents were killed by Sentients. Designed to be the ultimate defense against the sentients, but lost when its creator is lured into a trap and killed by infested. Blueprints sent out to multiple locations, while the last one doesnt have a chance to transfer.

Quest would take the player to each location learning more about Minerva's creator and eventually recovering her last words and the final blueprint from the computer she used.

    Abilities:

Passive - Void Shell: Minerva uses a bubble shield instead of conventional shields. No normal shields at all. Enemies inside the bubble can't use abilities. Damage to the bubble causes it to shrink. If the shield is destroyed, when it regenerates or when Minerva uses her 3, the bubble returns at her location. The bubble would have a very high shield value, but being a big target it would take a lot of damage and wouldn't protect against melee. *Upon contact with an enemy nullifier's bubble, I would be inclined to make it create a neutral zone where they cancel eachother out. **Having normal shields as well would make her TOO tanky and OP. ***I am unsure whether the bubble should scale off of shield mods or power mods, or some combination of both, but I definitely think the bubble should scale with range, so I would lean towards having all attributes of it scale off of power mods.

1 - Entropic Pulse: 25 energy - Enemies inside the bubble take X finisher damage over (2-4) seconds and are staggered with each tick. (fast cast time, and does not interrupt movement, reloading, or melee attacks. Reduced duration causes the damage to be applied faster.)

2 - Orb Toss: 25 energy - Launches bubble knocking enemies down as it flies. Activate to recall bubble.
Augment - Gravity Orb: As the bubble shield flies and upon impact with a solid object, enemies are pulled from a radius of X, into the center of the bubble (and ragdolled).

3 - Blink: 50 energy - Minerva teleports to the center of the bubble if she's not carrying the bubble (reattaching it to her) and X% of its total shield value is restored.

4 - Conversion Shell: 75 energy - for X seconds Y% of damage dealt to the bubble is restored as health to allies inside the bubble and to Minerva.    Augment - Energy Absorption: Z% of damage dealt to the bubble is restored as energy to allies inside the bubble and to Minerva.

Stats: This would depend greatly on how her abilities and shield mechanics are balanced, however she would need to have medium to high health and armor because of how vulnerable she would be to enemies inside her bubble. She would very much be a mage warframe, so a high energy pool would be important. Balancing her would be quite difficult, and would require playtesting to get right, which is why I'm choosing not to list exact values for health, shield, damage, etc...

    Builds and playstyles:

    • A balanced build would be a very versatile fighter, probably best as a tanky defensive support frame.
    • High strength, range and efficiency with minimized duration (like an EV would build) would play as a DPS frame, tossing around a big bubble and dealing lots of damage with pain field, at the cost of sacrificing her healing/tank potential by making absorb mostly useless. Would be ideal as DPS in a team with CC and an EV.
    • High duration and strength with low range would make her extremely tanky at the cost of being able to protect teammates and having less damage per second to fewer targets with her 1. Would be ideal in survival against non-infested enemies.
    • High efficiency and range with low strength and duration, combined with the Gravity Orb augment, would make her an effective CC frame, letting her spam Orb Toss picking up tons of enemies and balling them up for quick and easy disposal. Would be ideal for fighting infested and best to use with an explosive weapon (especially Tonkor because minimal self damage)
    • High range and strength with low duration would favour an Energy Absorption support frame. Possibly a viable alternative to an EV trin.

I think this would make for a very fun to play and very useful frame. Let me know what you think of my idea.

[edit 1:] Added Lore. Renamed 1st and 4th. Named Passive. Removed passive bubble slow (would be OP and too much like Snow Globe). Minor wording changes.

  6. Keeping with the theme... Still haven't fixed the doorbug.

DE keeps putting out new content, but I honestly don't want any new content at this point. I think DE needs to shift their focus to fixing bugs for a little while. This hotfix is a step in the right direction. Fixing rewards going missing is awesome. Now DE just needs to fix some of the game breaking bugs that render warframe unplayable from time to time (like the door bug and the recent spazztastic twitching... thing...)

So i missed out on getting 2-3 Axi E1 relics and im tired of grinding for them and i dont want to grind even more just to get those back so if would be amazing if you could possibly find ways to give players the rewards that they wouldve earned after you come out with hotfixes. Love your game but you have to find someway to say sorry to your players for the incident.

This will never happen unfortunately... If the reward wasn't given, the result probably wasn't saved, so unless you screenshotted BEFORE you realized that the rewards didnt end up in your inventory, there's no way to prove that you actually lost your reward. Really sucks, but i dont think i'm ever getting that Nova Prime Chassis (among other things) that disappeared back.

  8. I've been wondering... Is the doorbug hard coded into the server-client code in such a way that fixing it would take a ton of work and could break the game? Is that why that bug still plagues us? And before you say it's my internet, my net works fine for everything else, and other people seem to get this bug whether or not i'm host.

The number one fix i've been wanting since i started playing warframe is getting rid of the doorbug.

I use pure physical builds on occasion with Galantine and Prisma Dual Cleavers. It works well but it does cap out before an elemental blend. It works very well within lvl 70-120 armored enemies. Afterward you'll want Corrosive procs to let your front-end damage get in there and do some work as enemy HP scales.

Think of it this way. Slash procs do 240% of your base damage but you do minimal of other damage types, so that 240% IS your damage, which is roughly 1/3 of your potential damage output. As enemy HP scales (lvl 150+) it will start to become more rewarding to allow corrosive procs to negate damage resistance so you can ramp up to full damage potential.

In regards to your build. You don't need Buzzkill for a pure physical setup. Your Slash proc weight is 75% as is. You'd get much better results from True Steel or even Maiming Strike if you want to macro slides, Either way you absolutely need Organ Shatter. Bleeds are subject to crit multipliers so more crits and bigger crits are ideal.

I mostly agree with this Xzorn. A few things, though from a purely theoretical standpoint, knowing a fair bit about the math (because i haven't been able to be online enough since the patch to actually get Venka Prime, despite wanting dem claws like crazy... however i've been theorycrafting similar builds)...

Slash procs increase with crit, AND completely ignore armor, so that will be a huge amount of damage when you get to high level enemies and DOESNT require initial hits purely for applying corrosive procs. Afaik Buzzkill increases slash weighting, but not the actual damage from the proc, so that would be less useful than you'd expect. While corrosive pulls weighting away from slash it would help with straight damage (at least before the point where it takes a few corrosive procs to deal any damage at all). Problem is, corrosive takes 2 mod slots and armor reduction does nothing for slash procs. Personally, I'd be inclined to drop primed reach, primed fury, and buzzkill, and add Organ Shatter and some combination of True Steel, 60/60(s), and Perpetual Sting. My reasoning for the last one is, +110% status duration increases the total damage from each slash proc by that same amount. Once you're at a point where corrosive procs are increasing damage enough to make it worth bringing corrosive, the TTK is low enough that +110% slash duration translates to actual damage. At that point, the number of corrosive procs required for your direct damage to beat your slash proc damage is so high that it doesn't make sense to pick corrosive over slash on a melee. Full auto status weapons are where it's worth going for corrosive stacking. In the case of Venka Prime, you want as many and as big slash procs as you can get, but math wise i'm not sure about where the ideal balance of crit mods vs status mods is.

tl:dr At high level, slash meta is king.

  10. I experienced the same thing. I completed a fissure (after having spend hours doing fissures for nova prime chassis), I had 10/10 reactant, I selected the nova prime chassis, and when i got out of mission it wasnt in my inventory and that mission's rewards weren't showing up in "Last Mission Results" (appearing as though it never happened). This all just happened to me a few minutes ago. A similar thing has happened to me before, with rares and commons, but this one took so long to drop, and it'll vaulted probably by the time anyone gets this message. Is it possible for an admin to add the part to our inventories? If you want confirmation that it did drop, I have the ppl who were with me in "Recently Met Players". I know for sure that MadWarriorQC was there, and I think the next two on my list (KniteKloud and MaxisDane) were also there. They can confirm that a nova prime chassis DID drop. Please help us.

  11. Here's my 2 cents... Lots of things aren't quite right, but DE needs to focus on the bigger issues. For example, people being unable to party with other players; or getting re-instanced mid-mission; or getting trapped in one area when all the doors stop opening for them and the only way to fix it is to find an environmental hazard to kill yourself with or blow yourself up if you're lucky enough to have a weapon that you can hurt yourself with at the time (Good thing the void has lots of laser traps, since that's where that bug seems to happen most often, but god forbid it happens on a grineer or corpus tileset).

As for this specific patch, I think that vacuum of 10-15m should be a free thing attached to ALL warframes, BUT specific to loot-type drops, and not functional drops like health orbs, energy orbs and life support. Also, I think health and energy orbs should have markers like life support or reactant that pop up when you drop to a certain percentage of max. That way vacuum wouldn't gobble up all the health and energy when you have a degen effect on you, but when low you would know where the orbs are. That would eliminate the issue of having to choose between vacuum disposing of energy and health, or unequipping vacuum and having to walk directly on top of every single drop. I really do think that vacuum and loot radar too, are quality of life mods that should be inherent to all frames. It's not an issue of balance, it's an issue of requiring a weaker build simply to avoid missing out on drops. "Are you just mercenaries? Fighting for scraps? Where is this so-called Tenno honor?" ... yeah, I've been trying to farm Sargas Ruk for Shattering Storm, but he does make a compelling point. It shouldn't be about fighting for scraps, it should be about epic space ninja combat. I'd even go so far as to say that if one person picks up a piece of loot, it should get awarded to everyone in the mission, if it weren't for the fact that ppl would afk like crazy if that was implemented. However, 15m loot-only vacuum would be a universally appreciated quality of life improvement. Rather than a patch that makes all the warframes suck, they could just have a a patch that equips all the warframes with a small teleportation device so they can kick &#! while the teleporter locks onto nearby loot and sends it back to the landing craft :P Just be sure to mention something about it being a small-scale teleporter, not powerful enough to teleport things like say, a hostage... for immersion purposes. lol

As for sentinels and companions in general, I think they should ALL have the companion revive mechanics and companions should stop requiring upkeep after a certain point to keep things in balance and improve QOL all around. Personally, I regularly have times where I can't log in for a week or more, and so I haven't even bothered with the Kubrow quest, bc I don't want to have to deal with managing stasis and upkeep. At the same time, I hate how sentinels are disposable in any kind of challenging environment, and even some non-challenging missions that just have lots of AoE (Sargas Ruk for example). I use Carrier Prime, because it's the tankiest sentinel, not because of vacuum/ammo-case. That said, I do like the changes in this patch, I just feel like it's a cold comfort for sentinel users since it won't make much of a difference if they all die for the rest of the mission anyway and nobody has a vacuum for the last half. That RIP vacuum feel. Feelsbadman.jpg
